The non-spicy chicken curry is ridiculously hot. The egg hopper, coconut and rice all seemed to be delicious, but as they have the curry sauce on them I cannot eat any of it.

The service was truly lovely, with the owners making us feel welcome and well-cared for throughout our meal. While the restaurant is basic in its decor, it is exceptionally clean. We were particularly impressed by the visible kitchen, which maintained high standards of cleanliness. This was our first visit to Celon Spicy Pot, but it certainly won’t be our last. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a delightful dining experience.

While the arrival of our food took a bit longer than expected, especially since we visited right after opening, the wait was mostly redeemed by the flavorful dishes. The chicken 65 emerged as the undisputed champion. The chicken pieces were perfectly cooked, delivering a flavor explosion true to its reputation. The mixed fried rice was another star, boasting fluffy grains and a generous helping of succulent giant prawns. Eating here is a bit like eating at a your aunt's place without the ability to help yourself! The food is lovely home cooked taste and the lady behind the counter was friendly and nice. If I'm in Cardiff again would definitely come back as too many things to try in one visit!

Lovely staff and food was nice but you’re unable to finish or enjoy it as it’s far too spicy for anyone to eat unless it’s what you like but unfortunately I could not and neither could others. A lot less spice would have been better or even the option for very mild but otherwise it was lovely.

I was warmly welcomed on a cold wet night Food was excellent I choose a delightful mutton biryani and a spicy doughnut starter I can't remember the name of photos included I am sure the rest of the menu is equally excellent. Service was spot on.

We went on a Friday night after my sri Lanken friend recommended this place to me. We were the only people there but the food was amazing!! We've told all our friends about it and plan on visiting again very soon. Also your allowed to bring your own alcohol. We had the chicken curry, mutton kothu, chicken 65 and mutton rolls between 2 of us and I would recommend them all !!

It's a very authentic Sri Lankan restaurant. It's very better than Sri Lankan restaurant. I have tried all the items. Its very good in taste and the best part is you can ask them to make it spicy. Best items are fried rice, chicken kothu, all currys, devil dishes , and chicken 65. They make the best Chicken 65.

Visited this restaurant last week with a group. The restaurant is spacious and food was super delicious..You get the Sri Lankan vibe with all the Sri Lankan music in the background...🇱🇰 loved the chicken rolls and the chicken Biriyani. Mutton Kottu and Mutton roll is a must try!!! 🙌 Also, friendly staff..specially the guy who was looking after our table was super nice and provided a good customer service.

Absolutely delicious food! We love Sri Lankan food so we’re keen to try this place when we found it. The staff were really lovely and helpful when we called to order a takeaway. The food was so tasty - and very spicy, which we love - really decently priced and great portions. The more support this restaurant gets the better, they really deserve it.

Delicious home style food with an incredible variety that’s always fresh. The amount and quality of portions you get for what you pay for is brilliant. Great hang out spot with really kind service.

Great quality food, so much more authentic than the standard three sauce derived Indian fare served in most restaurants. Everything is freshly cooked, and you may need to be patient, but you can bring your own bottle here, and have a quiet slurp while you wait. The surroundings are basic, but you come here for the food. The mutton curry is divine, what gorgeous flavour, The prices will shock you though, they are so cheap. Nothing pretentious here. Thoroughly recommended. Ps:- You may have to learn the names of the meals; Kottu, Vada, and Hoppers for example.

Great, authentic food. Wad almost like being back in Sri Lanka. Reasonably priced too.

Pretty good food portions and taste. Would suggest the Vada's as light snacks. Would've been better if provided with some chutney. Biriyani, devilled chicken and kothu Porotta are nice. Yet to complete the whole menu.

Seriously good authentic home cooked food. I'd be surprised if you could find better locally. The owners made us feel at home and welcomed our little girl as well. Took me back to the street foods of Colombo, Nuwara Eliya, Ella and Haberana. Go along you won't be disappointed. BYOB is an added bonus as well x

Amazing place! I lived in Colombo for two years and have never tasted such delicious, authentic dhal outside of Sri Lanka. Plus amazing friendly staff too. Highly recommend :)

After making some Sri Lankan friends at work, I was interested to learn more about the food and how it diverged from Indian. My grandfather told me that a new Sri Lankan restaurant had opened up the road, and I didn't need anymore of a push. We were served immediately by the couple who ran the restaurant and I was very pleasantly surprised with the price of the menu. There was also a selection of drinks typically found in Sri Lanka, which always makes it feel more immersive. The food was made in an open Kitchen so we could see the preparation and the portion sizes were so generous that they were far more than I could manage! Luckily I had my three helpers with me. I recommend anything from the menu, but I was particularly impressed with the use of the famous Sri Lankan Cinnamon. Often cassia bark is used instead, but this cinnamon is the real deal and blew my mind. I will be back within the week!

Authentic and delicious Sri Lankan food can be found here! There have been SL restaurants cropping up all over the City but I find Anne and Bobby’s food transports me home to my mother’s and grandmother’s kitchen! You can get everything from Short Eats to Hoppers and Strings and Even Lumprice!! If you want truly authentic Sri Lankan food this is the place to get it!

Real tate of Sri Lankan dishes can find here with no doubt ! grate taste and clean place for dine in and they do provide delivery service as well. Enjoyed thier egg hoppers and Kottu which is in bigger potions and value for the money. Very friendly service !

We have had takeaways from here on a number of occasions. Been very good every time. Kottu paratha, sambal, moju, string hoppers and jackfruit curry all worth trying. Prices are very reasonable.
