Hidden gem of Neath! Absolutely love this place, the food is always amazing and top quality! The attention to detail is 👌Would highly recommend everyone to try, it's certainly the best cafe I've been to!

I was in Neath having radiation treatment and I was feeling very low and sore until I came across this restaurant. OMG this was sent from heaven their food is amazing and the puddings are to die for, I had the poached eggs on thick toast and my oh had a breakfast panini which he has tried to replicate but just wasn't the same lol and then another day I had a strawberry cheese cake crepe omg,yummy, utterly delicious while the oh had another breakfast panini. Please if you go to Neath go and try a meal in this restaurant you won't be unhappy. The ladies that work here are all very friendly and happy to help with any questions.

One of the best crepes I’ve had outside France. The cafe was busy and food took a little while, but I personally prefer this as it proves it’s freshly made. Though the workers there were apologetic about this, there was no need. It’s obviously a well liked and well respected cafe as there were repeat customers. But the high quality of food and the friendly attitude of staff makes you see why. They are also dog friendly which is an no brainer for someone with a gang of dogs. Overall I can’t recommend enough.

Poached eggs on thick buttery toast was perfect also other food we had was spot on 👍 Lovely little place in centre of Neath reasonable prices. Only downside was time to cook food was slow which is ok if you have plenty of time took over half an hour to cook 2 small meals when there’s 3 in the kitchen place was quiet too. Other than that lovey place 😍😍

I have been to this cafe on quite a few occasions and have enjoyed. However, my latest visit was not a pleasant one. It was an extremely cold day, but there was no heating on in the cafe. My friend and I were very cold the whole time we were there. My chicken and bacon omelette had the tiniest amount of chicken in it. I told one of the staff who said they didn't have much chicken left, so added more bacon. I would have preferred if they had told me, and I would have ordered something else. I was very disappointed.

Lovely ,lovely ,lovely An extensive menu mainly centred on light meals and cakes ,with masses of choice , good coffee and friendly and efficient staff . We will return and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend

A nice little place to grab lunch or a coffee. The menu is vegetarian friendly and the desserts look delicious. The jacket potatoes and hot chocolate are particularly good.

Been coming here since it opened my absolute favourite place. Sam and her staff are so friendly and go out of their way for all their customers Food is always perfect and the coffee is the best

My eldest and I go to 'Smashed Raspberry' most Friday mornings. The team there are always so friendly and welcoming. The coffee is really good, the toast is absolute doorstep (as it should be!!)......lush, especially with butter and marmalade (has to be done!)). We've also renamed some of the menu items and my eldest enjoys his do-dah!! (ask at the counter and I promise they'll know what you mean!!). We'll be back very soon. Highly recommended if you value a warm welcome and a smile, great food and drink, with time to enjoy. Thank you.

Slow service, mediocre crêpe at best and cash only are many reasons I will probably not want to come here again

What a lovely little find!!! Staff were friendly and welcoming and the cafe is lovely and clean. We tried waffles, pancakes and milkshakes and they were all super fresh and AMAZING!!! We will definitely be back!!

A good welcome is guaranteed staff are always willing to accommodate you on your wishes . It’s dog friendly, sadly mine is too old for the visit . So just relax and let the world go by .

Staff are very good, nothing is too much trouble .the bacon sandwich is a class act.I have not taken my dog there yet , but I will soon

Lovely place to eat, the staff are always friendly, the food is always tasty and perfect laid out on the plate and there is a lovely, cosy, homely atmosphere. I would highly recommend this place to people from all walks of life.

The atmosphere was very friendly, the surroundings, very pleasant and fresh . Everyone was at ease, and the restaurant was dog friendly. The bacon sandwich which I had was a meal in itself. The wife had pancakes. We where very satisfied. I can recommend 🌈

Great little find, seasonal food and drinks, great location too. A friend recommended this place and we weren't disappointed in fact we have to come back to try the lunches!! Great choice of food and drinks at very reasonable prices. We had brunch, I had the breakfast pancakes and hubby had the prosciutto and eggs. Definitely worth finding and trying !!

Very dissapointed today , checked opening times, said closed 4 30 pm on web. Walked all the way from top end of town and arrived at 3.14pm to be told kitchen was closed nothing available. Board outside also said close 4.30. We could not even have a cup of coffee or cake, staff standing chatting and customers still sat at tables chatting, but could not be served. Shocking customer service

Cannot recommended enough. Staff are always polite and couldn't be more helpful! Food is always stunning, I've yet to try something I dislike. Restaurant itself is very warm and welcoming with the choice of outdoor seating in the square. Fab place 10/10

This cafe is such a amazing place you can just relax/ unwind and eat some delicious food. Don’t get me started on the cakes, they are like slices of heaven. Everytime I’ve gone there I feel so welcome. I’m always greeted by super friendly staff. Just all and all a great spot.

Great for vegans as well as meat eaters ! Very reasonable prices, good service and and tasty food. It’s so lovely to have somewhere in Neath that’s put thought into catering for dietary requirements. They offer naturally vegan meals as well as plant based meats and cheeses. Also offer alternative milks including oat milk. Great for vegans and those with intolerances.

Nice coffee and cakes but disappointed to see that nothing was being done by staff to remind customers of the requirements to wear masks when not seated. Also staff were not wearing masks while serving at tables. Disappointed, as have enjoyed our previous visits.

Fantastic menu choice. Lots of healthy selections. I had the porridge with summer berries and maple syrup made with oat milk. It was delicious. I was happy to see coconut syrup on offer as it's rare to see this in most places!! Will revisit, one of my favs in neath if not my favourite!!

I went there with my sister for a catch up. I had the omelette and my sister had 'proper' toast, e.g. welsh butter and fresh 'cut yourself' bread. Fab. I have also been there with my children on many occasions for the milkshakes and waffles, they are delicious, with a huge choice. They even do a smaller version, if needed.

It's a nice place for a special treat or even some lunch .

Lovely little gem in Neath. We'll worth a visit for breakfast or a cheeky dessert. Dogs are allowed which is a great addition plus they have great vegan options. The staff are so welcoming and friendly, get yourself down here!

I took my mum for a sweet treat on her birthday and omg it was amazing!! Both of us have a massive sweet tooth and ordered a crepe with chocolate sauce, Joe's Ice cream and strawberries..... Got to say it didn't take us long to scrape our plates clean!!! Will definitely be returning! The staff were also very friendly!

The Smashed Raspberry is a small but clean and friendly eaterie I came across by chance in Neath. The menu includes savoury and sweet crepes, waffles, omelettes, jacket potatoes plus an assortment of lighter bites & cakes. Good vegetarian selection available which is always appreciated. Gluten free crepes can be ordered too. Good choice to have a light lunch.

Fab paninis, and my dog loved her sausages. Great service with friendly staff. I definitely recommend a visit.

This place has become a regular for myself & my two children. Used to come here for a milkshake or a pancake but now we come here for a full lunch. Excellent prices & delicious food

This has become a firm favourite of mine along with my two daughters aged 3 & 6. At one point, we were making our way through the milkshakes list until we reached the bottom & started all over again. Everything here is amazing & delicious: waffles/crepes/milkshakes/jacket potatoes, definitely one to visit!

Pancakes are amazing, the staff are friendly too. So many appealing choices on the menu. Shop looks very modern and cosy, been here a few times and enjoyed myself each time. Would definately reccommend for day time of day to visit.

Such a cute little cafe with some great staff. They have amazing freak shakes and their crapes are awesome too. My pannini was a little weak but the crape made up for it. The prices are decent too. If you love desserts then it's 100% worth a visit.

Absolutely love smash raspberry, being a New Yorker who love great food, and know about food professionally, its a gorgeous site having something this great in the town I call home. If you haven't been please take your friends, family. Did I say they even do afternoon post tea, hmmm its like living in London and being able to have all of the artisan baked goods with your friend. Parties are awesome especially when the company doing is smash raspberry.

This place is absolutely the best place i've ever gone to in neath, their menu is great, the service is great and the whole business is great, i even make it a main goal of mine to get at least 1 thing from that place every week!

Ordered for breakfast meeting in work. Food delivered amazingly quickly, excellent service and friendly staff. Food was delicious, recommend their chunky monkey sweet crepes. Colleagues ordered a selection of savoury crepes, waffles and frozen yoghurt and everything cooked to perfection, not a scrap left! Highly recommend for an early light bite or any time for that matter.

We went to this small independent cafe after school with our two children!

My friend and I were in neath carrying out refurbishment of a local shop and we called into the cafe for a coffee, The staff were very friendly and helpful, we had a chat with the staff and enjoyed our coffees, the cafe has excellent selection of snacks, the coffee was excellent, this is a cafe you should call to when in neath, you've try the rest, this is the best.

Friendly place with a good range of eating options. Nice selection of drinks. The cakes are really nice. Hope this place does well.
