Thai Taste in Swansea

When I give this a 4 star, I do it with all the love in the world. For £5.99 for a meal, it's a great deal. The food is pretty much always very decent, I've had this maybe 25+ times, all different dishes and only once or twice have I found it to be lacking slightly. Authentic Thai grub, cooked by a small army or small Thai women. I love the vibe. Well worth a visit. The indoor market is worth a visit for many reasons, but this alone is up there. I get it once a week for me and my wife, and £18 odd pounds provides a dinner, and next days lunch for us both. Good value. Go go go.

Best authentic Thai food in the UK Tom Yum noodles is a must try (expect the real spiciness from Thailand. Will definitely come back if I ever come back to Swansea. Half price, double quality compared to most Thai restaurants in London.

I can’t believe how good the food here is at this price point. I would be eating here constantly if I lived locally. The Pad See Ew was excellent, as were the spring rolls. Defo recommend.

True authentic Thai food! I’m craving for Thai food for a long time and this is definitely the most authentic food I ever have in the UK. I’d say the best food is their curry! Also, their price is very reasonable.

I order Tom Yom Rice Noodles(soup) with Prawn, the soup is really delicious! But the noodles was soggy. The price is very friendly so in general, I recommend this shop!

The staff here are very hardworking and the food is always delicious, the dishes are prepared very quickly so they are convenient when you are busy! There are not many seats here, but that is to be expected from a market stall, it’s quite big compared to some of the others nearby. But most importantly, the food is so cheap for such good quality!

Spectacular food, I've tried most dishes here and they're all very flavourful with every bite. Next time I go there, I'm gona take a small tub of my own prik nam pla, a thai condiment. I eat it with all dishes and it's the best addition. Cant name their dishes but I dont want to butcher the pronunciation. But I've enjoyed most dishes made with chicken or prawns. I highly recommend recommend it, but don't need to, since its always busy there :) - Prices are great too, worth going again. Most fast food places I've stopped buying to due to inflated prices, shrinkflation and zero taste all in one. But not this place, they get a 10/10

Extremely disappointed again in this place. Asked for carrots with my meal, they said it dose not go with chicken satay.. Only salad, so I said OK for salad then, now leave everything off apart from Carrott.. Started saying I needed to choose a different dish.. Bouncy chicken last time, so that's definitely it.. Avoid..

Food is both cheap and amazing. A box of curry and a box of rice for £5.99 is a bargin. It tastes amazing. You can eat in at a seating area at the side or on the central dining area in the market. All the food being carried out looked so good. Ours was no different, The panang curry is to die for. The staff are helpful, friendly and very very busy. If you do have to wait then it's only 4 or 5 mins. If your stuck for something tasty try this place.

Have been here probably a dozen times now over the last seven or so years and can safely say it is by far the best, most authentic Thai food I've ever eaten. Every dish is packed full of flavour, the service is exceptional and all the staff are friendly, portion size is perfect, and the prices are unbeatable. A perfect lunch option and probably my all-time favourite restaurant; a must-visit place every time I return to Swansea

Delicious, fresh home cooked Thai food. Great kids opens too (rice, chicken etc). The meals was very reasonably priced and the service was excellent. I’d highly recommend a visit.

I’ve tried chicken kapraw and chicken pad thai, they’re really nice. The somtum also very authentic.

£6 a main with rice, priced well, good, fast service, a good selection of dishes. Seating area is nice. Kind and friendly staff. If you are very hungry then I'd also reccomend a side dish

Good for coeliac as owner knows all about allergens and intolerance. Very helpfully explained what I could eat. Simple dining area but good food with no pretence. Will certainly go back for more

Can’t comment on most of the menu, and I’m sure it’s decent as this place is very popular. However based on my experience, I ordered the 4 chicken skewers with satay sauce for £3.95 as a snack on their own. I was disappointed to see one of the staff taking them from a container and putting them in the microwave, and serving them 3 minutes later. You’d expect them to be made to order, I wouldn’t have minded waiting 10/15 minutes.

Stumbled upon this hidden gem during my short trip to Swansea. We ordered the Tom Yum soup and Pad Thai and both exceeded our expectations, especially the Tom Yum. I’d definitely recommend checking this place out if you ever find yourself in Swansea or if you want to have the best Thai food of your life! Not only was the food exceptional but the price was insanely affordable (at least to me). We also spoke to the members of staff as well as a man whom we assume was the manager/owner of the restaurant and they were really friendly! Great service overall! Safe to say I’d go back to Swansea just for this place.

Had the pad priew wan with pork. It was really cheap and really tasty with really good portion size. The staff was really friendly and the food was prepared really quickly. I am really happy next time I want to try something spicy. It is usually really busy so if you are lucky you might get a seat.

Most authentic Tom Yum noodle soup I’ve had in the UK! I asked for extra spicy and it was exactly as I wanted. Extremely good value as well - £4.95 for a portion with 3 big, fresh prawns. Noodles are well cooked. The portions are not massive but enough for me.

Great food, some language barriers there but these women really try their best and that all you ask for, the food is always cooked in quick fashion and always tastes amazing and fresh.

Very authentic Thai food! Quite hard to find seating during the busy lunch hours, but going off-peak is worth it. The staff are very helpful and can make the vegetarian Pad-see-ew vegan upon request. The dishes are very tasty, and all have the incredible price of £4.50

Service was brilliant, the environment lets the place down with loud and gritting noise being located in a market, yet I still give it a 5 star because the food was incredible. Almost all the main dishes on the menu are £4.50 with decent sized portions. The quality of the food is amazing too with an authentic Thai delivery executed exquisitely with artisanal skill. Truly the definition of a "hidden gem". Serving time is roughly 5 minutes. I look forward to the next time I come back. 100% recommend.

Absolutely awesome high quality and genuine Thai food, including a main dish and sides for only £4.50. This is an absolute steal! If it was in a traditional restaurant, they could easily change 3x the price for the quality of food they're putting out here. Definitely try it!

Great authentic Thai food with a lovely staff

1st time in my life as soon as I ordered and sat down my food was immediately ready. These girls put fast food restaurants to shame. The food was popping with flavour and also had very reasonable prices.

Advertise halal food, but it's not halal if your cooking the chicken with the juices of the pork. The simple thing is to not advertise it as halal, or don't sell halal chicken. You are deceiving people into thinking it's something it's not. One very rude woman behind the counter, when told that they can't cook chicken with pork and call it halal, her response was to buy from another shop. What an ignorant vile woman. There's a way to deal with customers, but don't give people a dirty look and stinking attitude when they pull you up on a blatant floor in your cooking practices. If you want halal food, this is not the place to get it.

Really delicious food, quick and pleasant service. Went here with a friend on a busy weekday for lunch, the food was fantastic and very, very reasonably priced. The staff were great at helping me decide on a main to choose. The spring rolls were amazing, as was the main dish. Really enjoyed. Great atmosphere in the market. Lovely, well worth heading to for a fast but filling cheap lunch in Swansea City Centre. Will be back!

My wife and I always go here. Authentic Thai food at a very reasonable price. If you need a quick bite, go for any of the dishes visible on the counter (5mins wait), otherwise it is usually around 15 mins wait for food to be cooked to order (which is still fine by us!).
