Disgusted by attitude towards 98 year old requirements.Asked if a child meal could be provided as frail and eats very small amounts. Staff member asked manager who sent message only sell child's meals to under 9 year Olds. Explained full adult meal too.much could they please just do a small ommlette. The staff member went back to kitchen again message back from manage they would do a 2 egg rather than 3. The coffee arrived in a pot which was put in front of him by the could member if staff I mentioned again he was frail could they please give me the pot. It didn't improve when he dropped his walking stick the young member of staff pointed this out to him in case someone tripped. Did not attempt to.pick up. Icing on the cake a FULL charge of 11 50 for the omelet was made. I paid it and left...never to return dreadful to treat elderly and charge like this. The large bowl of beans not requested untouched and sent back.

First review on "new" account (previously under susyq1967). So I had not visited Osborne house for some time. I remembered it as being blingy. Well, it still is. Service was good. I had beetroot and goats cheese salad, steak and cheesecake. All with a glass of housewine. Partner had fishcake, curry and cheese. Ā£35 pp. We also had a bottle of white which was Ā£25 and significantly better than the included wine. Food was good but not quite excellent. Some gristle in steak and fries slightly greasy. Portions were generous and a three course with wine a bargain at Ā£35. Decor is good. Feels quite opulent. Sat in bay window to finish our wine with a nice view . Overall a good experience.

I was looking online for Portmeirion Village tickets and noticed that they were included if you took lunch in the Castell's Brasserie - what a fab idea. I hadn't told my wife and daughter, and made up an excuse about us having to stop at the Castell to collect our village entry tickets. It was a gorgeous sunny day and the views from the Brasserie were amazing. The waiting staff were courteous and professional and the menu included a couple of fab veggie options. Our starters did seem to take a while to arrive, but there were a lot of people on our sitting, and when they arrived they were just gorgeous. You could see the skill and pride that had gone into making and presenting the food, it was phenomenal. Highly recommended.

Let's get the grumpy stuff out of the way. Whoever had been co-opted to front of house was miserable and accused me of asking for a white wine when I gave her the number of a red one. Then argued with me. When we looked at the menu, of five or six items, only one was still on- beef- which was what we all wanted anyway. It was the best Sunday lunch that I have had for about four years. The meat was succulent, not over-cooked, and the vegetables done to perfection. Tasty gravy and a great Yorkshire pudding. The woman who was keeping an eye on the callow waiting staff was lovely and friendly. A great place. Pannacotta for dessert and Ā£23 for two courses. The place is fantastic. I understand it might be community-run, in which case they should allocate jobs to people who are temperamentally suited to carrying them out. If you want choice, maybe not for you, but a damn fine roast beef.

Weāve often called here over the years and it has always been of a very high standard. We are lucky enough to have had lunch here twice in the last 2 weeks and have been impressed both times. The food is always outstanding, and weāve tried lots of different things from the menu. The service is always friendly and efficient and itās not overpriced for what it is. The atmosphere is always welcoming, whether they are quiet or busy and nothing is too much trouble. I wouldnāt hesitate to recommend this place to anyone as we have never been let down by coming here.
