If ever you visit Harlech Castle and need cash for the carpark, this is a must. "Cash machine" facility available inside that gives coins. The staff are excellent and friendly. The pumpkin soup is to die for. Cafe incorporates a gift shop, wool shop, comfy seating, terrific back ground music to eat your lunch/ tea to. Can't wait to go back.

Fabulous hidden gem ! The coffee cake , made on the premises, was fantastic and very reasonably priced. Charming, welcoming staff and a friendly atmosphere. A variety of merchandise for sale from sweets to wool, cards to bath bombs! A wonderful spot close to the town and the castle, shall visit again.

This is a lovely cafe, the prices are very reasonable. It's much more than a cafe tho. You can buy everything from fudge and sweets to balls of wool to a local post office. I would definitely recommend anyone in the area calls into this café/shop. The staff are also very friendly and happy.

On holiday locally and wanted an indoor activity on a rainy morning. Had great fun climbing at the leisure centre. Sam the instuctor was great and we all really enjoyed it, (41,40 and 12) great facilities and lots of laughs. Highly recommend.

We are fairly local to Harlech and frequent this cafe on a regular basis when we are in the area. We have tried all the roasts on offer on a Sunday and they are good value. They are all excellently cooked but the roast beef melts in the mouth and is our favourite. The weekday meals and breakfasts are just as good as is the cake and coffee and the staff are the loveliest you could wish to meet, nothing is too much trouble and they are always helpful. We recommend giving this cafe a try if you are in the area as it is a community run enterprise and could do with all the support it can get to keep it running. Let the kids have a swim or a climb and treat yourself.

Went there for Father's Day Sunday lunch. Had the 3 course lunch option for a mere £13. Excellent value for money is also the full breakfast which we have had twice before.. Lovely home-cooked food in an informal cafe with welcoming staff. Ideal for couples and families using the swimming pool and climbing wall facilities.. Plenty of parking spaces with a short walk to the famous Harlech castle on one side and a beautiful beach on the other.

Coffees, snacks, big breakfasts, tasty lunches. We go in after a swim in the pool or a walk on the beach. A good place to call in if you are driving through Harlech.

It seems only the locals know about this place, maybe that's the plan! But missing opportunities on the caravan sites nearby as this place serves excellent food and coffee. You do not have to use the pool or climb, you can have a snack and coffee at reasonable prices. For 3 days we had lovely lunches in a relaxed setting. We sat outside with the dogs. A lovely place would highly recommend

This is a delightful place to eat, with great views from the outside tables of Harlech and the mountains. There is a lovely range of food from soups, jacket potatoes and quiches with salad. I would recommend the scones in particular - they are HUGE!! Freshly baked every day. Buy them to take away too - with the butter, cream and jam as well of course! Well worth a visit.

We ate here yesterday in between our morning of climbing and an afternoon of swimming. Lunch for four came to around £15. Children's cheeseburger and chips came with a free drink, my son had an enormous cheese and ham panini with salad, coleslaw and crisps (the staff kindly wrapped up the remains which he polished off after his swim), Daddy had a breakfast bap which was huge and I had the small breakfast, which again was large (tea and toast too!). Very friendly staff, good view of the castle and it was convenient for us as we were in the middle of our 'what to do in wet weather' plan. Didn't try any of the yummy looking homemade cakes and bara brith as we were too full up! The cafe was full and seemed to be a popular spot not just for swimmers and climbers but for the locals too. Perhaps a few healthier options could be made available on the menu to balance the 'cheesy chips'.

This cafe is attached to the swimming pool, follow the signs. There's a free car park. It was a good place for lunch while walking the welsh coast path recently. My legs wouldn't take me up the hill to other cafes. It's a good clean basic cafe, open in the daytime. There's a view of the castle on one side and the pool on the other. The homemade soup I had was good, filling and cheap.I understand that local people are running the pool as a social enterprise, since the local council withdrew funding. It was busy when I was there, mid week.

We stopped here for breakfast twice, having been disappointed by the service at another establishment. The breakfast rolls are tasty, especially the sausages, and both the tea and coffee were good. Fair prices and very friendly service. Outdoor seating where you can eat your food whilst enjoying the beautiful views of Llanberis and its surroundings. Also does delicious cakes, milkshakes and hot chocolate. Highly recommended.

I'm actually gutted to be writing this review as we thought we had found a good haunt when we first tried last week. 2 adults & 2 children all had a lovely lunch time meal the previous week so we rebooked for the 2 adults for an evening meal the following weekend. The starter was lovely for both of us but we both ordered fillet steak for our main and I don't know what meat it was but it certainly wasn't a beef steak. It didn't look like one, taste like one or even cut like one. I was genuinely gutted as it has put me off going back again because I feel like it's just rude to expect somebody not to notice and left feeling like we've been totally ripped off. You don't order a fillet steak if you don't know exactly what to expect on your plate so the audacity to think you can pull that off is unbelievable. I can't complain about the service, both times it has been spot on, lovely women but unfortunately we won't be returning after been served that.

On a recent visit to Barmouth we found this little Gem of a place that is open on Sundays. There was a special board out side and it was the Cheese and Onion pie that drew us in . Both my husband and me had this and it came with new potatoes and salad . It was delicious and very reasonably priced . We were naughty and were too tempted by the delicious homemade sweets and puds they had to offer . I had the jam and coconut cake and my husband opted for the apple pie. They were presented lovely with fruit and a pot of cream on the side. The staff were friendly and attentive. Will definitely be returning next time we are in Barmouth

Lovely little dog friendly cafe in the heart of the village. Warm welcome by the host and his friendly staff. Typical Welsh weather and unfortunately the biffolding doors were closed in July however will visit again when the sun is out Diolch
