Went on a Sunday. Scotched egg did not seem fresh or even taste nice. The cakes in the deli counter did not seem “baked on the same day” either. The deli gets a 3 star from us because they do sell lots of other items in jars that looked great. The coffee is always good from here. The service was not very churpy. It’s a fair review.

Taste of india is lovely food place in my opinion as long as when I am free I been there for food & good hospitality , I never write any review cause wherever i go people’s appreciate me like as i do, tonight i am writing a review for young boy his name SUNNY and i know him about 2 years, he shared me a story he faced some people’s yesterday and they give very bad reviews not one so many he showed me, he is very polite and smiley person that’s why i like him, he said sir i don’t like my own people’s like indian asian, his grandfather his father they are from india but still he doesn’t like because those people’s lived a well mannerd Country but they treat each other worstly, they don’t know how to respect other he said you should respect mine job then you will get return In this country everyone respect each other he like that and now he following that. Well i just write that review for him cause i know him very well and if you want to know him clearly ask his local customers , don’t judge him by the reviews. To be honest, i don’t like some of them cause i have little experience with them it was horrible🤕 and now you can see he just said if you want to order could you order 3 main dish at least, he said that line because they came 5 person and ordered 1 curry and 3 nan, now they reviewing bad one by one how bad people’s they are, I didn’t heard they said to us like that and also he said some of them not all are same but when i heard from sunny i think It's normal now i can see most of the review from indian people’s, come on guyz change you mentality if you are good parson definitely you will get good things💜 cheers my boy we know you🫶🏻

We visited for Sunday lunch. First, let me say I never add seasoning to my food in a restaurant, I expect the chef to already have seasoned it perfectly, so please don’t think that’s the reason why I am saying it was over seasoned. I had the roast beef Sunday lunch, and only got 1 slice of beef which was overcooked in my opinion, but edible. The small spoonful of mash was far too salty and peppery as was the cabbage. The roast potatoes and carrots were cooked nicely. They were very stingy with the gravy. I had the “sherry” trifle for dessert which was ok but I couldn’t detect any sherry in it. Having made many sherry trifles myself over the years, I know the sherry goes into the sponge base. Since this trifle didn’t have a sponge base that might explain the lack of sherry! The pub is also advertised as dog friendly, this is a stretch - dogs are allowed in a tiny room at the back which has 3 tables crammed into it! They could quite easily open up more of the restaurant to dogs whilst still keeping a large area dog free. Positives: the staff were friendly, well dressed and attentive and the pub was clean. It’s also in a nice setting. All in all a disappointing experience, but the faults could be easily fixed.

Another great meal here. Disappointed to see there were no basic mussels available , just a hyped up spicy version which were nice but not as good as previous basic recipe mussels. Why mess with popular dishes only coffee and cake available before 5pm in spite on snacks on the daytime menu outside.

I don't know if its change hands ,but it was terrible . the wine we ordered of the menu was not available but no-one told us that they just brougt a bottle which was disgusting which they did replace . I had Lobster thremdor it wasn't endible all are food was loop warm ,and the tables every thing stuck to them . we live localy and will never go there again . to sum it up overrated and over priced .

Wonderful selection of cakes, good big coffees, a small cosy place to go for coffee/tea and cake or a meal. Nice outside sitting area with some possibilities so sit in the shelter from wind. There is lots of stuff to look at and even a little shop where one can buy a little something. We will definitely come back.

Perfect pisgod a sglodion, no grease, a perfect sized portion too, so no wasted chips. It can get busy so be prepared to wait a little. It's worth it as it's freshly cooked. The curry sauce is particularly fine too Sorry there are no photos I couldn't wait to start on them.

Always call in during our stay in Rhosneiger...the staff are lovely and the decor is lovely...just feel the Menu could be better, maybe a few Specials wouldn't go a miss...always seems to be sufficient staff on but nobody in charge....we had our food on a quiet Sunday night yet nobody cleared our plates away, we sat for half an hour and in the end got up to.pay at the bar, plates still on the table and noticed a lot of glasses still on tables with people still on them....maybe complaicany due to lack of oompetition around....but premium prices should equal premium service/standards...

Great welcone, absolutely lovely food and great prices. Went here on the last night of our holiday for a meal with my family. Great choices, great prices and we will definitely return. Staff were friendly despite being incredibly busy. Thank you!
