Went on a Sunday. Scotched egg did not seem fresh or even taste nice. The cakes in the deli counter did not seem “baked on the same day” either. The deli gets a 3 star from us because they do sell lots of other items in jars that looked great. The coffee is always good from here. The service was not very churpy. It’s a fair review.

Beautiful shop. Amazing selection of cakes, bakes and food accompaniments. Certainly a great choice of savoury and sweet, difficult to choose! Tiramisu brownie was wonderful.

We visited here 3 times in one week, which probably says it all really. Get the maritozzi, especially the pistachio one (I found out it today that flavours are on rotation, so not guaranteed - the other flavours are great, but the pistachio is perfect). Can also recommend the lamb oggy, chorizo scotch egg, sausage rolls, carrot cake, danish tart, new York rolls, cronuts.... Etc etc. We didn't manage to eat one of everything, so we'll need another week nearby. But get the maritozzi.

Delicious bread and baked goods, nice strong coffees, and great items in the shop to eat or for the house/gifts. The girl behind the till was really helpful and friendly.

Really high quality, delicious baked goods. The only bad reviews are from miserable curmudgeons who can’t read the sign that says they’re cashless and take the time out of their day to write a review and try and hurt a small business for not taking cash- pathetic! We’re going to come back through on our way home from Anglesey to pick up a few more squares of carrot cake. I can’t imagine the amount of work it takes to offer the selection they have daily and at the level they achieve.

I had the lamb oggie and it was gorgeous. Never had one before but will definitely get one again!

Lovely choice of local artisan and some imports, fresh bakery goods and pizzas also available. Little gem of a store and I will definitely be back. I left with balsamic vinegar, smoked sea salt and biscotti.

They do not accept real money. Ridiculous policy. Clown world business.

Was told this was good but sign says cash not accepted so I'll never know, first time I've ever seen that. As I only use cash, it's a no sale from me. Should have looked on here first I guess. Edit. Good news the FCA are looking into the law that allows businesses to choose not to accept cash, given its use is on the rise. Decisions by the end of next year. And just to help clarify a response to Dafydd Monks below, you do not accept legal tender. Cards are a method of payment, not legal tender. Only notes and coins from the Bank of England are legal tender.

Beautiful gem of a shop with a great selection of fresh and preserved goods. The sausage roll and pistachio tiffins were baked morsels of happiness 🥰

Not only is their take out oat milk latte great but we tried the pizza (2 for £10- chorizo and chicken, Margarita). They were superb. The base wasn't doughy (hate that) but really tasty. Don't bother with dominos - fruit tarts also amazing (take out and sit on the benches by the straits) lovely!

Great Welsh produce and Dylans restaurant made items. It can be a bit expensive but the quality is excellent. Its a shame the local council are too short sighted to help local business by providing 30 mins free parking to boost trade on the high street.

Most amazing carrot cake ever. Every time I come to Anglesey, I have to come here. A little bit on the pricey side, though. Nearly £4 for a Scotch egg is a bit extreme.

It would be nice if this store actually accepted legal tender. I was looking forward to my loaf, went to the till with fiver in hand and was told 'we're cashless'. I pointed out that cash is legal tender and was told 'we don't take it, end of-'. So sad to see. My biggest wish is that this company sees sense in their ways - hopefully before someone digs up a cable and the card machine is inoperative.

Brilliant, popped in here to grab some nibbles for a beach picnic, what a mistake! My eyes were bigger than my belly and the choice and quality is outstanding, could have bought everything it looked so good.

What a shame, live just a few miles away and was told about here, went there to see what was on offer - big fan of pastry and cakes, shop looked great and full of things I love, then saw the sign on the window - cashless. First time I've ever seen a shop refuse cash. Fair enough I suppose, your choice, if it works for you, but I only use cash so I'll never be a customer. Now I've read some others commenting too. Covid is an excuse - everyone else takes cash and supermarkets have never refused it. Sounds like it's just an easy way of avoiding work cashing up. Edit following Dylan's response: I appreciate the time taken to respond . It is unfortunate that the reasons are solely based on how to make things simpler for employees, and shows no consideration of customer choice. It ever been shown during the covid era that cash was a vector of transmission of the virus, there is no evidence that supermarket workers were more likely to die from a virus than others, despite them continuing to use cash (as they do now). I believe in consumer choice rather than manager convenience, and it is disappointing Dylan's seeks to exclude customers based on the policy. The company's choice of course, and the customer is free to choose alternatives. I'm not aware of any other shop in Menai that has a card only policy, which shows that the idea is not customer friendly. Good luck.

Wanted to buy some of the stuffed mussel shells but not allowed to buy less than 4. Had some very salty smoked haddock scotch eggs instead. Nice Greek salad but olives were inedible salty. I think a different person runs this place than the restaurant!

Never before has my knowledge about baked goods felt so inadequate. The staff member was expertly versed in the finer details of everything I pointed at. Dylan’s has loads of excellent Welsh Deli foods. It was the bakery section that captured my attention. There, Dylan’s had a good range of sweet and savouries. I would recommend an Oggie, which was by far the best example of the Welsh pasty I have yet seen and tasted.

The staff in here are usually, or were previously very friendly, but on visiting yesterday they were unhelpful with questions on food allergies and borderline rude. The rest of the 1 star rating is because they’ve used the existence of coronavirus as an excuse to permanently stop taking cash payments for their own benefit. Any shop that is so entitled it feels or knows it can take customers for granted like this doesn’t deserve anyone’s business.

The food was excellent absolutely amazing the only thing missing was a pickle tray or yogurt for the poppadoms! I had the stuffed chicken and my son had a korma and my wife a veg option. I've eaten curry from many restaurants and this place I can highly recommend.

As I'm not a local, I was driving and decided to stop. What a lovely pub, service, beer well kept, clean and well priced food. If I'm that way again, I think I'll stay the night.

Visited on Saturday 3rd June 2023. First visit and very happy. Nice pub with great views if you sit outside, delicious food and helpful, friendly staff. Truffled rarebit on toast and Fish Finger bun (home made Fish Fingers) both amazing. Will absolutely eat here again.
