…and other assorted bakery products, this is clearly a Criccieth institution judging by busy it was. My beef bun and chicken tikka bun were both delicious and my apple and rhubarb crumble for afters was just as tasty.

It’s open during the day and near the beach serving breakfasts, cakes and drinks. Really fresh food and allows dogs 🐕 in the restaurant. Quaint seaside tea house, worth popping into.

Kitchen was out of use so we ate in Criccieth. Free parking, really friendly helpful hosts, clean and extremely comfortable. Room overlooking the beach. We will definitely return. Thank you

The most obvious tea room on the promenade at Criccieth, painted in a vivid blue, this location will be familiar with many. We called in on a windy by warm bank holiday Sunday for drinks and cake. There was a decent selection of clearly home made food, and tbh I can understand why everything is served takeaway style. Whilst the cups are cardboard, the service is still friendly and the view is great. We really enjoyed our cakes whilst watching the surfer and paddle boarders in the bay from upstairs.

After somewhere for Sunday lunch with our multigenerational family, The Llewelyn was suggested. We weren’t sure what to expect, especially as we arrived at the very start of service and the restaurant was very quiet. Clearly used by guests of the hotel for breakfast and buffets also - which is fine - it initially felt a little uncomfortable as quite empty but as other guests joined us, the atmosphere lightened. The menu is limited for lunch - we think they may have previously had a carvery buffet? - with just roast main courses and a few pudding choices, plus restricted kids menu, but portions were very generous. As some of our party were vegetarians, we weren’t sure what the ‘vegetable and seed roast’ would be, but it was delicious. Alongside the main roast - which came with roast potatoes, red cabbage, carrots and parsnips plus a huge Yorkshire pudding - was a separate dish of lovely cauliflower cheese plus extra gravy. Another member of the party wasn’t a vegetarian, and we were quite surprised when another dish of cauliflower cheese came along with another jug of extra (vegetarian) gravy! We couldn’t manage all the extra veg between the three of us, even though it was delicious. We were too full for desert, but left happy and full of praise for The Llewelyn, definitely a Criccieth Sunday lunch special!

Based in Criccieth in a good old fashioned castle looking Indian Restaurant, which also do takeaways. Some if the staff are friendly some others quite blunt and the room can get very cold in the winter, but the food has always been very good, it had a year where it went a bit downhill but has picked right up again, very good restaurant.

I'm.not sure if they have had a new chef or he can't be bothered, chicken tasted rotten, salt and pepper chicken soggy and a strange taste, chips Raw, egg fried rice has also a strange taste, this has been a few times now, wont be going again. Shame really as it used to be lovely.
