I had the pleasure of visiting this establishment last weekend for a Sunday lunch, and I can confidently say it did not disappoint in any regard. The venue itself is truly a hidden gem. Nestled away from the hustle and bustle, it offers a wonderfully inviting atmosphere, with a homely and relaxed vibe that immediately makes you feel at ease. Whether you’re looking for a quiet place to unwind or a cozy spot to enjoy a meal, this place hits the mark perfectly. As for the food, it was nothing short of exceptional. The Sunday lunch was cooked to perfection and presented beautifully, offering a depth of flavor that is all too rare to find. Every component of the meal was fresh and thoughtfully prepared, clearly showcasing a commitment to quality. For anyone who appreciates a well-executed Sunday roast, this is certainly a standout. Finding a venue in North Wales that serves such a satisfying and delicious Sunday lunch can be a challenge, but this place truly exceeded expectations. It’s a perfect spot for those in search of a memorable and fulfilling dining experience. I would highly recommend this establishment to others looking for a top-tier Sunday lunch in a welcoming and relaxed setting. I’ll certainly be returning in the near future.

We were staying in a cottage close to St Asaph so get a taxi over to the pub to escape storm Bert on the Saturday afternoon. It was my 1st try of Lees beer and in the end I tried 3 or 4 of them. The regulars are friendly and the young lady behind the bar offered me a taste of some of the local beer to see if I liked it before trying pints.

Myself and 2 friends went there today for lunch,we were greeted by a young man and told him we had booked a table, and he said I will take you to your table .we waited but he never came back so we picked our own as the hotel was quite empty.we sat down gave our order in we all went for the £17.99 three course meal,we waited and waitress came to tell us it would be a while because the gas cookers had broken and it would take a while.to get it working.we were all a bit confused but thought we will just go with it.our first course came out eventually we had breaded mushrooms with garlic mayonnaise, and you would not can go wrong with that, well over cooked mushrooms full of oil, then we had ordered the chicken goujons with chips nothing else no salad with it or veg so we asked could we have peas and one asked for a salad.when it came we were mortified the three plates came were small side plates and I said surely this is a child’s meal which the waitress said no that’s how big the plates are, the peas were cold I sent mine back to get another small bowl of still cold peas, bearing in mind we had paid extra.the salad consisted of lettuce and tomatoes which was over £2 in money. The food isn’t freshly cooked never in a million years.absolute disgrace.

Don’t recommend visiting here if you like expect good customer service. Staff were miserable, rude and unhelpful apart from a few of the female waitresses who seemed abit older than the rest. Food was ok, wasn’t very hot and very small gravy portions on the roast dinner.

Sausage roll was warm as expected. Not bad value. Chicken bake was disappointingly cold, therefore poor value and I was looking forward to a November’s day hot slice whilst on the road. I will give this place a miss next time, and I pass frequently.
