Mark and Elaine took over The New Inn some months ago and we have seen a great improvement in this house. I go in once a week at the most, but Mark remembers what my wife and I drink. Small point, but a big one too - he's a good host. Some weeks ago Richard the chef started and introduced his home made burgers and "Dawgs" (big hotdogs with all the trimmings). Then Richard started The Ribs! Phenomenal! They sure take some eating, and great value as well. This is a good pub. Nothing flash or ostentatious, just a real pub that serves good drinks and good food.

If you like a burger that’s taste amazing with a twist of different, then this is your place. Chefs home made relish is to die for. Beware the Scotch Bonnet Apple Salsa, has a serious kick.

we walked in to this tasteful cosy put and where welcoming smiles. Great selection of beers and the food was amazing value and so tasty. Had the pleasure of meeting the new chef and he so cares about the meals he serves. My advice if you want a run of the meal heated up processed meals don’t go here. If you want a lovely meal from a great team this pub is a must. Well done and thank you xx

Would definitely recommend. Love the atmosphere in this local. Nothing to look at but I love everything about it. The owners dogs are gorgeous, the fact that we can take our little dog into the bar area. She sits under the table and is quite at home. Food is great. Staff and locals always make us welcome.

Took my children here at the end of the summer ... the food was a 2 hour wait and not many there were eating, we didnt mind as much as the children where playing in the back with a little swing /climbing frame they had and the two stars of the pub were two gorgeous child friendly dogs full of energy and very friendly (we spent most of our wait playing catch ) our food came out and it was pretty standard nothing too esquiste just a simple .. slightly priced sunday dinner... (veg/mash/fatty meat/3 roasties) no yorkie puds/stuffing etc ... tbf the children got more than me and my partner and it cost us 10 for each adult meal......but the reason i say needs a little love is because after being out the back all my children had stood in the dogs poop it was everywhere even on the slate path id like to try this pub mod summer as im sure there buisier and would deal with that more however i dont know what there like midweek but i wouldnt recommend a sunday

We pass the pub quite often & decided to call in last week. After ordering the food we waited a long time before it arrived but it was well worth the wait. Everything was hot and so tasty. The pub does need some updating but the locals were friendly and we thoroughly enjoyed our visit. We will definately be calling again.

We were given good reviews about the food, it was ok but the pub itself could do with a good spruce up and the outside area you were pestered with the owners dogs. The owners were polite and helpful and the beer ok, there was good parking but not quite doing it for me.

Extremely disatified starter quiet bland 1meal chicken curry and chips was fine 2nd meal burger and chips when I cut into the burger there was a sour smell but we didn't know we're it was coming from first bite and I had to spit it out absolutely disgusting we told the barmaid and she made a point of telling us we would not be charged for it . Left the pub going to look for somewhere else to eat .added problems here 35 minute wait between starter and main .

My family and I visited the New Inn last Sunday for lunch. It was our first visit but will become our regular local when we move to St.Asaph. The New Inn is a friendly, welcoming pub. It has a good selection of beers and ciders. The food is all home cooked and absolutely amazing. I'm feeling hungry thinking about the delicious roast dinner we had. My daughter is vegetarian and she very much enjoyed the vegetable lasagne. Even our elderly dog was welcome. I would highly recommend a visit to this lovely pub. Children and dogs welcome. We had both with us. I'm looking forward to being a neighbour to the New Inn and hopefully becoming friends. We will be back!!

Called in earlier in the day to book table for 4. We arrived at 6.30 and it was ages before the waitress came for our order. White wine out of stock. I think they nipped to the local Co-op for a bottle. Again waited ages for our first course which, when it came, we were all pleased with. A long wait for our main course but again very tasty when it eventually arrived. The service is letting this place down, or is it the Kitchen letting the waitress down. The portions are a really good size, in fact we ended up with a doggy bag, much to the delight of our dog! Shall we go again? Not sure as I dislike being kept waiting above the accepted time for food. But perhaps we will give them another chance!!!

We were wondering where to take mother for a bite to eat. Heard the landlady at the New Inn was a really good cook and cooked all her own dishes. So popped in for lunch. Cosy and friendly place where dogs are welcome. The food was excellent. Tasty Pies were topped with light short crust pastry and served with really good home made chips. All dishes were served pipping hot. We would have liked to have had a pudding but were to full to try. Its great to find a place serving REAL food This lady has talent and we will return to eat more of her delicious creations. Her food is worthy of much more than the current prices charged.

My husband and a friend went to try this pub having been disappointed some years ago and interested to see the changes in "The Most Improved Pub" on the banner outside.Sadly the table they used was still dirty having previously been used and cleared by some diners. Although the staff were friendly the beer was disappointing and they will not be using this venue again.

Just out and about admiring the scenery we have here we decided to try somewhere new and found this place. Very early Friday afternoon and we were the first in. Quaint and homely with very friendly service we were soon feeling at home. I chose the Sea-bass with sweet chilli sauce off the specials board and my partner had the scampi and both plates were cleaned up, wonderful. I did make sure I complimented the cook/chef and promised to see them again, especially as I now know what to expect. We were concerned that the food was slow arriving compared to other venues but not by much and well worth the wait.

We decided to try this pub while driving past as it was getting late (about 7:30) and we were getting hungry. Walked in, and the staff and other customers (regulars) were all extremely friendly but the food offering was poor to say the least. It was a choice of either burgers or burgers. We had a drink and left to find somewhere else.

Our family enjoyed dining at the New Inn today, from start to finish it was excellent. Staff were welcoming and brilliant with the kids, even allowing them to feed the chickens out the back, they also had rabbits and Budgies which pleased the little ones. Menu and specials board offered a wide selection of choice. Kids meals £3, all home made, in fact I've never seen chicken nuggets of that size, fresh chicken in batter, and home made chips, which reminded me of my Nan's. Sunday roast was a choice of chicken or lamb, we ordered one kids and an adults lamb. All home made with fresh ingredients, meat was succulent and tasty, they even brought out an extra jug of gravey which was a nice touch. I personaly had a "build a burger" two beef burgers with bacon, cheese and fried onions .... it was a belly buster, the burgers were impressive, there must have been at least 4 rashers of bacon and of a thick cut. I honestly can not fault a single thing we had on our plates. We've drove past so many times and often thought about popping in and today I'm glad we did, will most definitely be going back.I forgot to mention the starters .... my partner had pate, this came with three rounds of toast and fresh salad, I had nachos and cheese, portion control goes out of the window, seriously can't think of anywhere better that offefs value for money.v

Lovely home cooked food and nice beer. The only reason we didn't give full marks is because our meal was ruined by noisy raucous laughter and swearing by a group of male customers at the bar. They were nice enough, but just so noisy! I know some folk need to let off steam, after a hard days grafting, but some folk also like a quiet meal in peace. The girl behind the bar did ask them to keep their voices down as people were eating, to be fair. They were quiet for about five minutes! Not what you need when you want a quiet meal for two. We're not snobbish, we just like a quiet meal together. Shame, as it's a friendly place with nice beer, good value for money, home cooked food, decent portions, but the noisy customers put us off going again.

This is now called Boba Geeks Cafe. We went in expecting the usually greasy cafe food with frozen chips . We were pleasantly surprised. Home made chips with sausage, egg and beans all cooked to perfection. The chef uses all fresh ingredients in all his food and does a traditional roast on a Sunday. We paid £21 for 3 meals and 3 drinks which I thought was a real bargain.
