Had a meal there! Lovely food & drinks, Staff very friendly, good service!

Lovely pub , starter was amazing , had the lasagne for main , was extremely dry and tasteless , pudding was ok

Expensive bar. Food is average but overpriced

Lovely passing visit , Manager served us.. chatty polite and helpful. Had a beer and 10/10 fish n chip lunch. Most definately will stop by again.

Lovely Sunday lunch ,service good ,we did go online and book a table, had a drink outside in one of the cabins first, great set up ,will definitely visit again when in the area

Fantastic first time with friends who said the food was good spot on staff so amazing nothing was too much lovely ,,, dogs are welcome in a certain area which is great. Sunday lunch was bet yet see you all again soon. Keep up the excellent work great team xx

Went here for dinner tonight. Got to say probably one of the best meals I've ever had. The food was so tasty. Service was brilliant. We only waited roughly 10 minutes for the food to arrive. Id definitely return here again in the future.

Having to cater and serve a group of 25 efficiently, and all within a very short time is often a problem for some venues…Not this one! The staff were all very polite, friendly and courteous. The food was all hot, and very good quality. The booking was efficient and problem free. Would highly recommend and will very definitely be visiting again.

Not enough custard on grumble other wise dinner really good

Popped in for a quick Guinness. Was so good that I had another quick Guinness while my compatriots only had time for one! Best I’ve had for quite a while, well poured, not too cold and as creamy as can be. Also the ladies behind the bar were absolutely delightful. Great experience all round.

Yet again another impolite meal from the plough. Thought 4th time lucky as a friend persuaded me. Service very slow, even awaiting a drink I watched our food sat on the side to which was presented just off cold. I surgest you look @ your staff. I ended up being offered a steak as you had no beef, I asked rare. Mmm think your onn option.! Regards.

Had a funeral tea here last Tuesday.Very good choice of lovly sandwiches,pitzza's chips scones with jam and cream etc.Pleasant staff . must have passed here litterly hundreds and hundreds of times since I was a child and I'm not young !It was my first visit .Thank you !

Discovered this pub/restaurant 12 years ago, stopping off at St Asaph, en route for Holyhead port. Been going there for a break of journey ever since. Tons of parking, great food, service and atmosphere.

I would just like to say a massive thank you to Chloe I was in with a few friends and my partner for some after drinks to celebrate a good friend we lost and had the funeral that day... unfortunately one of my partners mate took a nasty turn and ended up being arrested which was gutting to ruin the night after such a good send off and an amazing wake. She sat with me and made sure I was okay and I really appreciated this alot after loosing my dad over Xmas and then loosing a good friend in as little under 2 months has hit my mental health bad to then have a friend being a right tool chloe made me feel safe and was almost like talking to a real good kind hearted person.... Lovely pub, food lovely and large portions

Stopped by to meet up with a friend and grab lunch. Food was nice but extremely overpriced. Good selection of beers on tap, which was nice to see. Place is dog friendly too which is a bonus. Staff were great. Service was good.

Fabulous Sunday lunch, great staff and a lovely roaring fire

Arrived without a booking with a wheelchair user. The staff were simply brilliant. Very accommodating, chatty and helpful. We had a lovely meal in a great environment. A tiny, and I do mean tiny, criticism is that it would have been good to see another veggie or vegan option on the menu or specials. We’ve been looking for a really good dining pub in this area for ages, now we’ve found it. Thanks to all at The Plough for fantastic hospitality.

We stopped here for a roast on the way back from Snowdonia. The roast beef was lovely - a huge portion and all of it nice. The only slight downside was they had run out of a lot of their draft beers after new year, but that was fine as they still had something I like

We turned up around 7.45pm with no reservation. The place was packed with many company christmas outings. It was packed in a good way. The atmosphere was wonderful. Staff were polite and helpful. Food was delicious and reasonably priced. Dogs allowed. It's probably best to book in advance to avoid disappointment.

My partner lives local, went to the plough on a sat night to eat in between christmas and new year to be told no walk ins. Whilst having a drink the place had lots of empty tables, I find this disgusting, thought we'd go out spare of the moment, how are we supposed to know it's bookings only when walked in a number if times previously. Any one would think they don't want to earn money! This place is going down hill!

A wonderful place for a pre Christmas lunch, sat by a roaring log fire sipping ice cold champagne & eating delicious food. The staff were so attentive & nothing was too much trouble. We will be back very very soon 🩷

Saturday night Christmas party ....Great and excellent well to do atmosphere yes loads of younger generation but still everyone behaving having fun hard to find in gen Z who have no idea ... The bouncers where Edwardian in politeness very hard to find .... Hard to find a place still fabulous and keeps it's Welsh culture vibe... Food very professional for price and staff excellent... Thank you The Plough.

From the outside this looks like a typical small pub however inside there is a bar downstairs but upstairs is a large restaurant! Food was well presented, very tasty and portions were large. Staff were very friendly and gave us plenty of time to decide on our meals. A very enjoyable experience.

Great place to visit for a drink and a good atmosphere

Have just been in to celebrate my 50th birthday! The whole experience was amazing. The food was beautiful the staff were fantastic. Thank you so much.

A lovely member of staff called Syd welcomed us warmly & found us a table. We enjoyed a delicious meal - I’d recommend the pie! The service was excellent, staff were very friendly & attentive & very tasty food. We’ll be back!

Nice, but not worth the price. My girlfriend, I and our baby went to this restaurant where the staff were very polite. We had pre-booked and when we got the table they had the high-chair ready which was professional. The stone walls and wooden beams added a good atmosphere as well. We ordered our baby chicken nuggets which were tasty and it was a big portion for a child. Unfortunately the adult portions were not that much bigger for the price you paid. I ordered the beef and chicken burger which was delicious but not very filling and I only got 1 onion ring with it. The beef patty in the burger was also very thin. My girlfriend ordered the sirloin steak which was well-cooked but again not really a big portion for the price we paid. Also both of our chips were only lukewarm but still edible. I and our 2 year old also ordered dessert which took ages to come out, but when it did, my cheesecake slice massive and very yummy. So overall my experience was good but not worth the price we paid and I'm not sure if I would go again.

Lovely pub, not the cheapest but you pay for what you get and the portions are huge! Dog friendly too which is a huge benefit plus the outdoor area is amazing, with a big car park.

I took my grandma here with my brother and his doggy, the staff are really funny and attentive, the food was excellent and the place is beautiful with a really good vibe would definitely recommend for drinks or food or both thanks guys

Really nice place, the restaurant itself was really unique and has a nice outside too. The food was very tasty, I will say every time I come to The Plough the staff aren't that friendly or accommodating, apart from a couple of them. But apart from that, the food comes out quickly and it's very tasty, and the location is lovely, right by St Asaph river

Very pleasant evening, chilled vibe and friendly staff.

Very disappointing. Not up to usual Plough standard. The chicken in pie inedible, so tough. Steak and Guinness pie very mushy. Pastry on top of pies was delicious. Chips appeared and tasted like they had been reheated several times.

We stop here for food on our way back to Anglesey. They were able to accommodate our early arrival and dealt with my food allergies professionally. Very spacious and with a nice atmosphere. Children and dog-friendly. The food was delicious and the service good. I would stop to eat here again without hesitation. Big free car park on the site.

Went t a birthday party had the salmon n potatoes what was lovely and my daughter had the farmers beef burger that was lovely to but don't have the lasagne it was awful the little meat that was in it was very gritty couldn't taste it cheese on top burnt just tasted like smashed tomatoes..worst lasagne we ever had

Everything about our visits was excellent. Food was great, service was great. Orders were taken quickly and food came out quickly. Nothing was too much for the team. Good menu with pleanty of choice. Would highly recommend the farmers burger, homemade chips & steak. They even do a little bowl of sausages for the dog. Visited twice during our stay in the area and will be returning again when we are next in town. Thanks guys.

I haven’t been for about 5 years and it’s still just as amazing as the first time. I had the chicken and bacon pie with chips and let’s just say I didn’t rush eating it. The chicken just fell apart in mouth with the sauce it’s just mouth watering!!! If you want great food at a proper local pub this is the place definitely coming back and this time I won’t leave it as long

Had a 3 meat Sunday roast. Absolutely gorgeous and loads of it.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. Happened to find this wonderful establishment and without booking the staff were welcoming for and addition 5 covers for an extra sitting. This place is very popular as there was a reduced selection of late Sunday lunches due to the bookings already in place. The menu is taylored for each day (ie featured days, Sunday roasts and themed nights; steak night for example), but the quality of food is excellent, All fresh ingredients, good portion sizes and cooked to perfection. Steaks exactly as you ordered; juicy, tender - DELICIOUS. Serving staff are well trained/managed with enough intelegence to maintain dietary continuity. They highlighted a guests sweet selection as being a vegan dish so offered mainstream ingredients to make it a regular sweet (this person ate a steak). We all had empty plates at the end of each course. All in all myself and my guests were all impressed with the service, food quality and a lovely atmospheric environment. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND trying The Plough Inn, St Asaph.

Food wasn't too bad, staff were rude though when I asked for replacement food when it was burnt. Replacement food was nice.

We just had our wedding reception there and it was perfect,all the staff and management were brilliant and Michelle and I cannot thank you enough.

We had driven from Holyhead port to St. Asaph's in the blistering heat and usual traffic delays. Looking for somewhere nice for a pub lunch/dinner and google recommended The Plough Inn. After a lovely meal and really nice chat with staff, I can recommend it also. There is a huge car park to the back which is free. Outside are tables and dining areas with or without shelter. The Plough is child and dog friendly and is actually one of the best places I've been to that is really dog friendly. I had the steak fajita with a salad which was beautiful. Lots of crunchy veg and peppers and a sizzling skillet with piping hot steak and veg. There were the usual guacamole, tomato salsa and sour cream dips that accompanied the meal perfectly. My daughter had a pizza that looked and tasted home made and wood fired. It was huge. We also had piggy fries. These are a meal by themselves. Chips covered in bbq pulled pork and melted cheese. Beautiful. We loved it so much we decided to return a week later on our way back to Holyhead for breakfast. I would absolutely recommend The Plough Inn to families, individuals, couples, kids and dogs, to anyone looking for a good affordable meal in a British pub within a quaint village. Fabulous time was had by us all.

Very friendly staff quality food

Overpriced drinks overpriced food which was awful. Ordered 2 ploughman's which consisted of a large green apple with a knife in a bit of mouldy cheese half an egg a bit of leaf an no ham terrible do not waste your money there

Like everywhere else in Wales it closed for food early (6pm) staff were ok but hardly welcoming.

It's a great place to stop off for a meal. The building is full of character. It's easy to get to the people who work there are nice and the food was lovely

Visited on the evening of the 30th July 24. Dog friendly, lovely drinking water available to our pets as well as biscuits. Drinks selection was excellent and food was outstanding. Will pop back again soon.

Nipped in for a drink a couple days ago and witnessed an incident involving owners and dogs, one in particular tried to strike at a young lady and her two dogs, but the owner of the aggressive dog gaslit the poor girl and urged her to "get her animals under control", no doubt self concious of her own animals nasty nature, utter snob. Most bizarre part was the security gal took the wrong side and removed the young girl and her dogs. Very poor security standard unfortunately.

Visited with my girlfriend and 2 dogs, as a local that visits often with our dogs, never had an issue, until a dog growled at my dog and lurched at him, he responded and the incompetent door staff (nicky) asked us to leave, I went back and asked why we were asked to leave and was lied to by the door staff saying in the few minutes I was gone, they had reviewed the cctv and that my dog that was sat down at the time was out of control, the whole incident, the other dog was attacking my dog and the owners defence was to scream 'control your dog' and not control their own... however as a shepherd type dog, nikki had already decided my dog was to blame, absolutely fine, I'm used to this, will not come back, thankyou for allowing me to take my dogs to a better managed establishment

Dropped in for a drink on a long drive home. It was £7.20 for 2 glasses of diet Pepsi. Wow, it's not even the real stuff just gas and syrup. You do get the feeling of being ripped off and it sticks. Didn't have food so can't comment and the bartender did smile when giving me the price

Let down by poor food at high prices. Nice place for a drink with friends. Avoid if you want good food. Had veg nachos which were average and onion rings which were so bland I complained at the table and when paying the bill. Disappointing they refused any good will guesture and said I had to pay for them even though I didn't eat them and said at the table. Poor customer service and bland expensive food means myself and 3 others won't be going again. Two better places across the street. Sat in downstairs food area.

What a find!. Just pulled off the North Wales Expressway looking fir something to eat. Spotted this place as we passed and had to do a turn. The place is a treasure. Cat park. Beer garden and bar/restaurant .. dog friendly. 🐕. Service was perfect, friendly and fast. Food delicious . Deffo on my places to revisit next time I pass this way

Great pub and restaurant with delicious food. Called in for lunch and was quite busy for a Monday. Hubby had the Smashed raging bull burger and I the Chilli beef jacket. Proper homemade, tasty food. Service was brilliant as well, with friendly, helpful staff. We will call again next time we're in Wales.

Went for. A quick meal and all was good . It as burger night and it was so tasty the chicken burger was packed full. I could not eat it all but someone in the group finished it. We did have to wait but when things are cooked to order that’s okay and worth it. Service was good and staff friendly . Would recommend

Where does management think this pub is located, charging over £6 for a pint of Guinness?

After searching in Google maps for somewhere to stop off for food to break up a journey we found this little gem of a place. The Sunday dinner was fantastic and the veg/spud plate was huge! The service was great and really quick too. A Great little find!

Thank you so much to The Plough we had a great night food was lovely no complaints. Shout out Saffron who was spot on with the set up of my dad's birthday surprise communication from her was brilliant and her organisation skills top notch thank you saffron so much.

There was 8 of us for a Sunday midday lunch, we had no booking and we needed disabled access, the front of house couldn’t have done enough for us! Sat us down and a quite area, really welcoming atmosphere, food was really good! We spilt a drink and they kindly replaced it no charge. Definitely be coming back here if we’re in the area!
