The Talardy in Denbighshire

We'd been to the Talardy many times in the past and found it’s been consistent in terms of food quality and atmosphere. But today we visited with a family party of ten, mostly all happy with their choices, but unfortunately for me I ordered the pork belly, and have to say a little taken aback by the minuscule portions, two of the tiniest pieces of pork belly disappearing into a bed of mash with some broccoli, would probably have made a reasonable starter, Warned that the plate was hot, which it was, but would have been nice if the meal was as hot as the plate. No doubt we’ll use the restaurant again in the future, but be mindful not to order anything as exotic as the pork belly. Staff as usual attentive and friendly.

We went for a lunch last Sunday and two of us wanted Sunday Lunch and the other was looking forward to Rotisserie chicken as per the menus published on the website. Initially we were given a table by the toilets- but did not like the toilet smells. We were then shown to a different table with a dirty bench seat. When we ordered drinks that came quickly - but were given one pint and one half of lager shandy - not what we had expected. After reading the menus I tried to order the Rotisserie chicken. " Not on the menu for the last two years" was the reply. Why then is it still on the website ? When the food arrived we were warned that the plates were very hot and to be careful not to touch them. They were not hot and neither was the food. When we told the waitress she was very offhand. The whole experience is not one we will be revisiting. No apologies from the staff - bad show all round I'm afraid.

Really disappointed with our meals, salad was just a bowl of limp lettuce, a few oven chips and hunters chicken which was very tough and under cooked bacon. Will not return

Great starter of cauliflower bites ..one of the best I’ve ever had. This was followed by a bland and not very well presented main of a plant burger with chips and coleslaw. My friend asked for hers to be served without the bread bun…but it still appeared with one. After the meal my friend asked for a tea with non-dairy milk …but after 30 minutes went to find out where it was …only to be told they didn’t have non-dairy milk available. No one had thought to come and tell her. The staff were pleasant and friendly but service not great. I wouldn’t be in a hurry to return.

Lovely place & food but shocking bar person - I asked for a cocktail at 8pm he rolled his eyes & had a strop! Heard him say to a colleague can’t believe she has ordered a cocktail! If you don’t want to serve cocktails don’t have them on menu, felt so unwelcome! Terrible attitude which let the place down. Such a shame.

Very disappointed with this place. One staff member reduced my 12yrs old daughter to tears when she approached the bar for a soft drink. Another member of staff who seen what happened went to my wifes table and apologized for her colleague and said she was shocked at how the bar man spoke to my child and she would report him to her manager. My wife went to speak to the barman and received rude aggressive answers from him and felt intimidated. She then spoke to the manager who replied " I will have a word with him". When my wife and child was leaving the barman thought it was clever to shout out to them " Bye now. Hope you had a nice time" I have to wonder would he of had the same attitude if i ad been there and not just a woman and child on their own. A formal complaint has been made and none of our family will be going here again. Disgusting behaviour from a staff member.

Went for our evening meal here tonight fabulous evening from when we walked through the door the staff were amazing food was fantastic and we waited no time at all between courses you can only tip the staff with cash you cannot add a tip on your card well worth a visit

Went for drinks with family between Xmas and New year had a good welcome so thought we would try the food at a later date due to us living only 20 minutes away what a huge mistake NEVER AGAIN husband had roast dinner which was edible at least I had what was supposed to be a hunters chicken it was dry tasteless over cooked barely edible the staff are friendly and welcoming but food is absolutely terrible

We booked for Christmas Day & we were not disappointed. The food and service were excellent 👌 we had a mixture of turkey and beef, they were super tasty. Desserts were fab too as was the little extra of Fudge with our coffees. Thank you for making our family Christmas special ❤️

Booked here for Christmas day lunch - the service was very poor - not enough staff - took forever to get served - food was good although the chef covered the main course in pepper and that was all you could taste - on the menu when we booked it said coffee and fudge at the end of the meal - we asked the waitress and she said she didnt know if it was included - came back and said it was - and we waited - and we waited ......... - eventually we just left without coffee - no xmas music playing and absolutely no atmosphere -overall -a disappointing experience - we will not go again.

Looked online for somewhere local serving xmas 3 course dinner, Talardys came up, as weve dined here several times before , we thougt it would be a ideal venue, xmas menu looked appealing, so went ahead & booke a table , when we arrived was told xmas dinner was not available, Very dissapointed after arranging the evening, come on talardy , it cant be that hard to ammend the website to include that xmas dinner isnt available evenings! We shall not be returning!

Wonderful experience today for breakfast with santa. Food was lovley, service amazing and so friendly with all the children, great activities and just all round great day welldone guys.

I had sausage and mash and sent it back as so burnt i couldn't eat it the rest of the meals weren't as bad but still some were overcooked we complained thay never even offerd a discount wont be going again but the quiz night was good

Really friendly and helpful staff, there was a separate gluten-free menu and a good range of options - great experience overall.

Absolutely amazing dining experience. We had a cappuccino, fish and chips and a brownie. This was the best buttered fish I ever had. I'm extremely fussy so this is a real compliment. The waiting staff was very attentive, they've asked if we have any allergies and modified my food so instead mushy peas I was served alternative. I have also asked for extra hot water for my coffee and compote to be served separate. The waiting staff was very polite and nothing was too much for them. I can highly recommend whole dining experience and I will be definitely returning. Thank you!

We celebrated my daughters 30th birthday at the Talardy, we had our little grandson with us, service was excellent, food was spot on, staff made a fuss of my grandson, defo be visiting again, Thankyou.

My wife’s meal was fine. My hunters chicken was tough/stringy, not edible. The waitress was very. pleasant and said she would report my comments to the “kitchen”. Cleanliness was good. Comfortable atmosphere. Pleasant staff.

A good place to stay,friendly efficient,comfortable and clean.Lovely outdoor gardens to sit out in and easy to get to off the A55.

A friendly welcome & an all round pleasant experience. Staff were efficient & service was excellent. We had the special lunch time menu which, although fairly limited in choice, was very tasty & well presented.

Very clean and very nice room on ground floor. Two down things to report. Breakfast had to be booked by 10.00pm on night before and as we didn't really know if we wanted breakfast or not until the morning we had to go without. It really would have been nice to just turn up in the morning if we wanted breakfast without having to book the night before. Evening meal, the Web page indicated evening meal was served from 12.00 midday until 10.00pm. We had a couple of drinks and then phoned reception at 8.45pm to book a table but was told the kitchen closed at 8.30pm. This was very disappointing as couldn't drive and at check-in was never told kitchen would close at 8.30pm. Leaflet in room mentioned meals started from 12.00 midday but again nothing about kitchen closing at 8.30pm. Felt we had been let down on the service we so wanted. Cleaning staff brilliant on a positive note.

We booked on the Webb for 630 pm when we got there lady said it should not have booked as they were full she told us to come back at 730 and we could have a table so we came back and my partner ordered scampi and I had the chicken breast the food was there in 20 mins and boiling hot my partner had 16 eices of swampi wow my chicken breast was tasty really enjoyed are food would go again definitely

Very busy this evening but the warm welcome of Imogen found us a table. Katy was our waitress, very friendly & helpful, the drinks arrived quickly by the fab barman & wow our food was great so big shout out to all the kitchen staff including Origan & Eben. We'll be back soon. Thanks Again.

We were a walk in for a table of 7, we were greeted and seated immediately. We were served by Declan for drinks and initial courses and Eben for desserts. These two members of staff are a great example of customer service. We ordered steaks and Roast Dinner which were cooked to perfection and super tasty. We can’t wait to come again. Keep up the great work everyone!

The hotel realising we'd had a stressful day pulled the stops out by sitting us down to a free drink while getting our rooms ready.The next day,they chose not to charge us for our meals which they'd cooked after hours for us.Finally they posted back free of charge an item that I'd left in the hotel.The Under Manager was particularly helpful closely followed by the manager and trainee ? manager.Thanks

Had a meal out with friends. Good location and easy to find, lots of parking. Food was great and reasonably priced. Service was good apart from a small hiccup the day we attended due to a menu change so the waiter and chefs had different menu choices. All in all we had a lovely time and will definitely go back.

First time I've been to wales and this was lovely x i loved the decor, had some fab pictures and ornaments etc , the hotel room was lovely and clean very nicely decorated, would have been nicer to have some draws to put our things in though . Other than that was good .We ordered breakfast and a evening meals both were very nice and plentiful, i like how they do the rotisserie chickens you can see them being cooked and must say they were very tasty , you do have to book before hand and everything will be explained to you by the staff member frank i caught his name a few times , and neil the bar man, its such a lovely welcoming place to visit and all staff are friendly and helpful so thank you for making our stay a fabulous one

Visited the Talardy when on business in the area, very friendly staff, warm welcoming and great service throughout my short visit. Food excellent and staff very knowledgable, will definitely stop here again when in the area Thank you

The food is usually very good, but our last visit on Wednesday the food was not up to scratch. My wife had scampi and chips, they had run out of tartar sauce and didn't offer an alternative and the chips were soggy they are usually crispy and yummy. I had the chicken which was very tasty but again the chips were very poor. Don't think we will visit again soon.

On the 16th September, I contacted the Talardy to book a table for 12 people for a meal the following evening. I was visiting my former home area, and wanted to meet with family to celebrate the life of my sister, who had died during restrictions. The young man who answered my call was immediately aggressive, snapping that he "only heard every other word of that!"When I repeated my request he snapped ," I'm not taking your booking ," but initially wouldn't explain why . He eventually said that tables for 12 were not allowed. So I asked for 2 tables of six. He again refused to take my booking, stating that, "I'm NOT taking your booking because I know what you are going to do!" He said we'd push the two tables together. I said we wouldn't...asked him what the issue was, and he slammed the phone down on me. I then called again and asked to speak with the manager. A man said that he was deputy manager, and he too refused to take my booking, saying I'd sworn at his colleague and that's why he'd slammed the phone down on me. I honestly had not. Furthermore, I had my mobile on speakerphone, so a friend heard every word of the conversation and can vouch for me . I'm also an Advanced Skills English teacher and I do not use bad language. But the deputy manager refused to believe me. This isn't just appalling customer service. The member of staff I spoke to was aggressive from the start, and he lied. He also doesn't know that current regulations permit tables of 12.I had my wedding reception at the Talardy years ago. What a shame I received such unwarranted unpleasantness from a member of staff there now. Upsetting and disappointing.

We visited Saturday evening and met by the most lovely and enthusiastic girl with glasses. Food was excellent plentiful cooked really well, I had the steak abs chicken it was lovely. Nice atmosphere and great food as well as wine! Highly recommend.

My husband, 3 year old son and I visited the Talardy today and took my father to have a relaxing Sunday meal. On arrival we were given a photocopied piece of paper with a list of unavailable items. There was no wine list and when I asked what red wine they had the waitress couldn't tell me. She said she couldn't pronounce them as she doesn't drink wine. When the order came food was not as described. Instead of rustic bread with the soup is was a standard slice of white bread. The soup we were told was tomatoe, however there were other ingredients in it. My husband couldn't eat it, neither could my son. When the mains came out the Sunday roasts were missing roast potatoes and stuffing. Mine was the pork dinner and was supposed to have apple stuffing and crackling. However it didn't come with these. When I asked about the missing items the waitress said she had been informed by the kitchen that they didn't have stuffing. These unavailable items were not on the list of items we had been given on arrival as missing. The waitress hadn't told us prior to ordering or when the food came out that most of the described Sunday lunch items were not available. So effectively the £11.25 sunday lunch was some meat, vegetables, a smidge of gravy and a crusty hollow tasteless yourkshire pudding. When I asked about the missing food the waitress blamed the kitchen. My husband ordered a buttermilk chicken burger which was tiny. The waitress also didn't return when our drinks were empty so we went to the bar to reorder. The restaurant was very quiet so there wasn't any reason why the waitress wasn't more attentive. No apologies from her for the food quality, missing items etc. We paid on the way out and the male bar staff asked if everything had been OK and we said it wasn't. He did apologies but no compensation for poor quality and missing items. For the price of the food and drinks I would expect much much better. The one bottle of wine we had was £18.45 and the total bill was over £100 (3 adults and one child). We used to visit the Talardy regularly (at least 3 or 4 times a month) pre covid and were looking forward to attending regularly again, both as a family and for other family gatherings including Christmas this year. However following our experience today, we will not be returning which is ashame.

Order a burger horrible, old meat and dry, asking waitress if is fresh made she say yes.... never go there again waist of money.

We phoned ahead as got stuck in traffic and were late for our table. Very accommodating and a lovely welcome when we arrived. Drinks and starters arrived quickly and staff were fantastic especially interacting with children. A delicious selection of starters, mains and desserts were enjoyed by all. Thank you

Previous visits been fine but tonight has let us down .Family birthday meal for 8 people left disappointed. One guests chicken undercooked very bloody which was returned and replaced . Another very iffy looking. burger very well done so left half. Overall disappointed so cancelled booking for following week as did not want to disappoint other friends.

Visited on a very hot day for lunch.Found the menu to be quite ordinary and so ended up ordering the burger and chips. My sons had the kids version. The food came out pretty quick.The portion size of chips on my plate was the same as on the kids. The burger was ok, as a bit of a burger guy I'd give it a 5/10. The staff were friendly and checked on us.Would I go there again? When they have a new menu I'll definitely give it a try.

Stopped in at The Talardy for a late lunch today. We had very delicious meals. My only problem with my meal was very quickly dealt with by the server Stevie and a replacement arrived within a very short period of time as I personally don't like gravy on my chips! For dessert I had a lovely pear caramel & whisky pudding which was so light and tasty with began ice cream. Very happy with this as I am lactose intolerant so was still able to have ice cream. Our waitress Carol was very good not overly attentive but just enough to not be overbearing we enjoyed our visit immensely and will return again.

Great service from Neil , it would seem from previous reviews he is quite the legend ! All other staff friendly and efficient also . Have to say even though I would recommend for sure , we found the food just ok not worth moaning about but just ok , will definitely go back though and try something else on the menu . Dave Mather

Nice family pub. Rotisserie chicken curry was nice I would order this again. My partner had the steak he wasn’t overly keen he asked for it well done and it came close to rare with blood all over the plate. However this was rectified and a new dish was made for him however this did take some time. Tables nice and evenly spread out which was nice ( didn’t feel as though we were intruding on anybody’s conversations) nice out door area. I would prefer if there was an accessible door closer to the play area though for the children. You have to walk out from the main door and right around to the park which I didn’t trust my young children doing. Over all nice food and friendly staff perhaps some background music would have livened up the atmosphere.

Disappointed with our sunday lunch. Beef was very well done vegetables were sparse and tinned carrots and peas. Nothing special at all and not a lot of choice just beef and chicken.Expensive for what you get.Plenty of better Sunday lunch deals about. Wont be back.

Enjoyed a lovely meal and good to see all Covid regulations adhered too! Reasonably priced, delicious food and friendly polite staff. Will definitely return when I’m next in Wales xxx

We were just passing and thought we'd give it a go for some lunch. We managed to get in one of the gazebos outside on a warm day. Service, cleanliness, drinks and food were all excellent. I would definitely recommend it

Ive not wanted to come here due to a horrific experience 20 years ago (nothing to do with the staff) but im slowly starting to feel better. The staff are nice and the food has been very good. I will try to get some good memories of the place now.

Upon arrival we were already disappointed that the images online of the hotel were deceiving compared to real life. Staff were lovely and helpful on arrival. Rooms don’t have air con as described, a small useless desk fan was provided instead. The bath was dirty. The toilet seat was broken and hanging off. Parts of the shower were broken also.

I honestly haven’t stayed anywhere as lovely as this. The staff are so so welcoming and friendly. The food is lovely and the rooms are great. Big thanks to frank, Vicky and Imogen for there kindness. Will definitely be returning again. Happy holiday 😁😁😁

meals here are reasonably fair. big restaurant wasnt half full when we called. staff were good at there job. didmnt have to wait long to order . the food was nice and i would call here again when passing near by. very good

Really nice Marstons hotel. Room was nice , clean and well stocked. Helpful staff. Great have bath as well as shower over. Breakfast separate but very good value. Meals and drinks generally reasonable prices and good quality. Some of the rooms are in a separate block but only short walk from main building. Plenty of parking. Special spaces for charging electric cars.

Had a meal here for the third time from the lunch time menu. The food is excellent and well priced. The service is excellent but the decor is showing serious signs of wear and tear. Will visit again .

Food was good, service excellent. Menu not the greatest, bit same as the Marstons near us nearly 200 miles away so not the pubs fault. Generous portions

We took my mum for lunch at the Talardy - We hadn't been before so I booked ahead as my mum is partially sighted and asked if we could have a table where the lighting was good. My booking was taken by a very helpful member of staff who reserved a table for us - not only by a window, but right next to a radiator in case my mum 'felt the cold' The food was excellent - plenty of choice on the menu - and smaller 'light bite' portions available for the pub grub section of the menu. The light bite portions were just right for lunch time and I don't think you can beat pub grub done really well - it was all really good and not at all expensive. Service was great and a nice relaxing atmosphere. I would recommend to anyone wanting to stop off for lunch on a day out in North Wales. Would also recommend taking a quick look at the amazing Victorian glasshouse. Not used a the moment - so you can't go inside but absolutely gorgeous. Really hope they are able to bring it back into use - so pretty.

Firstly...can't do half and half on curry anymore...!? Secondly...£1 for a thimble of extra gravy...!? Thirdly...grey, dry, uncuttable, (off?) fish...granted quickly removed from the bill...but with very little apology...Rare (due to ill health) family meal out...ruined. After MANY a positive review will NOT be returning. VERY disappointing.

We visited today and found the pub was clean and tidy, great food offers available. the staff were really friendly and there was also an outside play area for the kids. I order the half roast chicken it was lovely and the portion size was great also ordered a dessert and it was huge! definitely be returning.

Booked Boxing Day dinner for three persons at 2 pm arrived early and waited a few minutes while our table was set, we asked for a specific table with a bench seat whilst booking as one of our party has a back problem much to my delight our request was met our drinks came quickly our food was pre ordered as a Boxing Day offer all was good the restaurant was very busy however the staff coped very well not much waiting between courses plenty of room between tables very good for families and parties facilities good and toilets clean plenty of parking for cars this is also a hotel and details are on the internet a very good place to eat whatever the occasion.

We called at The Talardy whilst on our way back from a show in Llandudno. It was 3:30pm but we had had nothing to eat in Llandudno and we were hungry.So we called on the off chance that they were still serving food....which they were. Thank goodness!We were shown to a table and informed that the Sunday roasts had finished.But we could have anything else off the menu. They even produced a Gluten-free menu for my partner who is a celiac.We ordered to mixed grills off the menu, which were cooked to perfection.We also had a sweet each which were delicious.The waitress was extremely helpful, we didn't catch her name but we know she hailed from Ellesmere Port.We will definitely return to The Talardy as the meal and the service was first class and good value for money.

An excellent restaurant, with good quality and relatively inexpensive meals and friendly staff. We really enjoyed the food and atmosphere. The building has been beautifully restored and looks superb!

Been to The Talardy two or three times but will not be going back.we found the Sunday lunch dry and three times staff had to bring items left off the menu

Visted recently and whilst there had a wonderful young lady to serve us our meals. She is an asset to the establishment. Our meals were lovely and a good price too. Will certainly visit again. X

My family and I visit here on a regular basis.

Booked room including cooked breakfast. Was told cooked breakfast was the buffet, and was charged twice. Management acknowledged the error but refused to offer a breakfast refund because breakfast server had knocked off their shift, and was unable to verify the charge.

Came here for a meal with my family today and I have to say the level of respect from a young lady called Kat was brilliant. She was so lovely and is a credit to your team. The food was spectacular and I will definitely be revisiting.

We quite often go to the Talardy for food, although it is one of those chain pubs, the staff are always very pleasant you can nearly always get a table. The quality of the food is good, the price is very reasonable and there is plenty of space. It is what it is and it does not try to be anything else. So for good old fashioned pub food don't hesitate

We visit every time we come to the coast. Luckily we had booked earlier in the day a it was very busy. The staff are always friendly and efficient. I had a perfectly cooked rib eye steak and chips were great. My wife had fish with jacket potato and salad which was really good. Well worth a visit if you are in the area.

The talardy is a lovely place to stay .staff very friendly and helpful.the hotel has been extended very nicely.the food is great try the chicken lovely .we loved our stays.

We visited here on Saturday 21st September as a table of 11 for two family members’ birthday. Not usually any of our first choice however one of the children is autistic and the play area outside allows him to go off and play whenever he needs a break from the dinner setting. Staff were quick to take drinks orders which was great but when the drinks arrived, two of them were incorrect. This might actually be helped if staff had larger (or regular sized) order pads as the one the waitress was using was tiny and there was no way all of our drinks could have fitted on there in coherent handwriting. In all fairness anyone could have misunderstood something and none of our party would have minded, only the brunette girl that worked behind the bar seemed to have a bit of an attitude on her and actually spilt some of our drinks as she almost slammed them down. When we told her one of the drinks she tried to put down hadn’t been ordered she rolled her eyes and said “ok” and when another one of our party told her she’d ordered her white wine with soda and not lemonade she was met with a disgruntled “yes ok I’ll change it”. When she finally brought over the correct drinks she gave a rather bitter and belligerent “is everything right now?” as though it was our fault? I’ve worked in a food and beverage environment for years, I’ve worked in a busy restaurant and ran busy events with a team of staff that would rather be elsewhere on a Saturday night. But I would never allow any of my staff to take that out on guests. I can handle everything being cooked to rubber on a mixed grill (wouldn’t recommend), I can handle drinks being incorrect and I would gladly return to an establishment provided the service I received was good at the very least. All it takes is one member of staff. The rest of the staff seemed polite enough but were too busy gossiping near the kitchen doors to clear our plates. I wouldn’t recommend for large parties (4+), they clearly can’t handle it and it isn’t worth the attitude from bar staff

Very nice meals friendly staff as always, did forget some of our drinks but got it mostly sorted after, very quick to clear the tables though when others were still eating, lovely sized portions very enjoyable get together,

Been a few times now. It's a nice stop off on way to/from snowdonia. Food always nice. Staff always friendly. And also decent vegan choices for the wife. Definitely recommended 👍

Stopped here on way home from Llandudno. 1st time we called here was 15 years ago when my wife was pregnant with our daughter. Our daughter was with us this time. We had a lovely meal. Wife and daughter had the Rotisserie chicken and both thought it was beautiful. I had a bacon and cheese burger which was also beautiful. Well worth visiting. It has changed since our last visit but it’s clean and the service is fantastic.

We booked here for a funeral wake and had originally booked for 70 people but later changed the booking to 50.

Although we were not allowed in with our dog they have a large area outside that is very cosy even housing a fire which we presumed was lit in the winter. However the shelter afforded a war area for us to eat. Food was hot well served but roasted veg was very sparse (veg costs little) . Scampi meal was delicious.

Very hit & miss here. You can either have a lovely meal - no faults or an absolutely terrible one. There’s no in between. The roast dinners here are awful, all tasted frozen and not fresh.

Never had a bad meal here so decided to take the in-laws out for lunch - huge success and brownie points earned!! Great service, friendly staff and fantastic food. Mixed grill, ham & eggs, lasagne and chicken curry (best curry in a pub ever) all went down a treat. Only one had room for pud but that was yummy too. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place, hope you don't let me down.

Came here today for Sunday lunch,with my daughter and 2 grandchildren.And i must say i was very impressed.The food was lovely my daughter said it was the best roast of all she had eaten out before.The staff were lovely and friendly.We was expecting a long wait for our meal as it was busy,but our meals arrived within 15mins..Well done The Talardy will certainly visit again,and to top it all the prices are very reasonable.Thank you for a lovely meal.

Go every week to talardy but service this time was a lot be desired. Had to ask if we could order food we had been waiting 20 minutes to order food. There was a funeral party in which I understand they were busy but should not leave other customers waiting around. Good food as always although waitress got the order wrong asked for a doubled up burger and only got a single burger said it would be 20 minute wait for another burger.

Have reviewed the talardy a few times and always with high praise. Haven't visited for a while and was a little disappointed with our visit last week...first impressions of sticky tables and tatty menus was rather off putting. Somewhat burnt burger...bland ham, hard eggs and chips...not the usually standard of the talardy. The only saving grace was the roast chicken which was perfect. The waitresses were lovey and friendly as always...credit where it's due!

We enjoyed the stay and appreciated the closeness to the North Wales Coast and Snowdonia. Comfortable hotel with modern rooms and with a safe and large car park. We had dinner a couple of times at the hotel and liked the food and the choice.

New facility for charging electric cars just opened in the Talardy’s car park, so we went to check both out. While the car was receiving Kw we had Kcal. We chose to share five platers between us, similar idea to tapas. Chicken goujons , Chicken wings, Olives, Garlic mushrooms, Halloumi fries. Very happy with the food , service and surroundings. Tables have plenty of space between them .

Decided to try out the Talardy for lunch after driving past it frequently but never stopping.

Quick refreshment break at this Marstons pub. Great selection of light bites for lunch at £6 per head. Hubby had a huge piece of gammon and a burger for me. Friendly staff and great prices. There is a sandwich menu too, or a full rotisserie menu. Will keep it o my radar for the future. It is also a hotel.

First visit .Really pleased offered a full menu from light bites, hearty meals and a very good vegetarian option.Well kept Restaurant/bar and gardens made this a really pleasant way to spend the afternoon with my daughter.

Called here on for early evening meal on a weekend as a family of 7 - very friendly service with nothing too much trouble and a large table was found for us. Menu had plenty of choice for us all including smaller menus for the children, who enjoyed the outside play area. Chicken was really tender and tasty, good choice of sauces - all plates were cleared and enjoyed puddings too! Impressed with prompt and efficient serversl Will definitely return - thanks all!

One of the best selections of vegetarian and vegan food in the area. The waitress was particularly helpful about my allergy issues and checked with the chef for me. I had a choice of meals, which is rare!

Called at the talardy yesterday the food was very nice as were the staff. They do a cheap menu if you get there before 4.30 I think that is for Monday to Friday

The service was table service and was prompt and friendly. The food was tasty and hot and there was no delay. The pub was well looked after and very clean.

Lovely food. Good value for the money. But best of all the staff really make you want to come back to this place. There is another establishment further down the road that is popular, they could learn a lot from the fantastic crew here.

Karen showed us to our booked table they were very busy so we thought we would have to sit for a while but no. Are drinks came on time and our food also after 15min was served. Enjoyed the experience. Thank you karen

We only had some soup just to stave off the hunger pangs. It was well served and quite tasty. There was plenty of room

Not as good as it has been but food still ok as it’s a pub chain the food is much the same as all pub chains

Visited over the bank holiday weekend.

The Talardy is one of my very favourite places to eat. My friends and I go at least once a month and we're there for about 2 hours catching up with life. The service is great and the staff remember the people who keep going back so it's nice to be remembered. The food is lovely and the options are varied. They cater for vegetarians (not sure about vegans though!). I've never complained about their food.

Was looking for somewhere fairly cheap and come across this place, been to many Marston’s chains but this was by far the best. Food was fantastic, had 2 starters (chicken wings and nachos), 2 chicken burgers and a pudding of lemon cheesecake and chocolate melt in the middle. Could not fault any of it and certainly struggled to move after it!! Was served by Sam who was fantastic and very friendly. Will definitely return!
