Fabulous pub/restaurant recommended by local friends. Atmosphere welcoming. Staff were great, professional, friendly and attentive. Great menu choices, we had seabass and lamb plus desserts which arrived promptly, beautifully presented and very tasty. Definately advise pre-booking as full despite being a Monday evening. Highly recommend.

We found ourselves finishing our white water rafting round the corner from here, our instructors suggested this place for some food and a pit stop. Superb views and ample seating indoors and out in a very busy establishment. The food matched the view and we already want to return to try more from the menu. Very impressed!! Lots of options also for our fussy vegan friend

Great venue with an amazing location. It's a much bigger building than you realise with rooms branching off in all directions. There's also plenty of seating outside to watch the world (and river) go by.

Was passing through a bit hungry and seen this establishment pop up. Popped upstairs to be greeted by very friendly staff.no table booked but they made it happen. Ordered the food that arrived piping hot and tasted amazing. The bread and butter pudding was out of this world. Definitely on our list of must go back.

The food was amazing, the staff were lovely and the views are beautiful. Definitely recommend dropping in if you're in the area. It's a nice easy walk from the Llangollen Basin if you're staying in a canal boat. :)

A Gem in Llangollen I recently had the pleasure of dining at The Corn Mill in Llangollen, and I can confidently say it was an exceptional experience. The restaurant's charming atmosphere, combined with its delicious food and outstanding service, made for a truly memorable evening. The dishes were nicely presented and full of flavour. I was particularly impressed by the freshness and quality of the ingredients. The Coq au vin pie was very good. But what truly sets The Corn Mill apart was the exceptional service. Erin, in particular, was absolutely fantastic. Her friendly and attentive manner made us feel welcome and valued from the moment we arrived. She was knowledgeable about the menu and offered excellent recommendations. She really made our parents feel special while celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary. If you're looking for a delightful dining experience in Llangollen, I highly recommend The Corn Mill. The combination of fantastic food, impeccable service, and charming atmosphere makes it a must-visit.

A rainy day walk to Llangollen Castle, the perfect pub to seek shelter. Warm, cosy, inviting. Best veggie curry I’ve had in a while, the lamb shoulder and the smoked salmon are great too. Worth the visit

Had a fantastic Sunday lunch at The Cornmill. Food & drinks were excellent, staff really friendly and helpful. The location is stunning, and we had a table by the window with a lovely view. Will definitely go back.

Good quick service of food, nice choice and friendly staff, very cosy feel to the place, grey drizzly day and its nice and warm inside. Menu catering to all. And nice deck outside with good view of train station and river.

Amazing service came here on Sunday for lunch and then came back for a meal on our last day amazing views and wonderful staff we will definitely be returning the service from viv was amazing we will be returning when we come back to north wales!

Had a visit whilst away for my sisters 40th birthday and booked here for lunch 🙂 Everything was fab, the venue, the service, the menu and the views. The menu was fab especially for those that are gluten free, little bit limited for lactose free but I was happy with the fish and chips anyway. Portions are big so we were glad we did not have a starter. Highly recommended 👍 but advise to book before you visit if having food.

We came here twice during our short stay. Once for lunch and once in the evening. Food both times was impeccable, lovely staff and great drink selection. Gorgeous location over the river too, would absolutely come back

My new fav pub. Food here is exceptional. Duck Confit is perfectly done. Chef knows their stuff. Pre-book to guarantee table, although we were seated without booking, on a busy Saturday. Decent Ales/ Porter / Cider on tap. Nice outside area to enjoy the rapids below.

Popped in without a reservation but had a walk welcome and was accommadated straight away. Lovely historic place with nooks and crannies, simple tables having nice views of the river dee. My food was stunning!

Very cool place. Warm and friendly. Food and local beers were on point, and the staff were amazing. Long way from NZ, but we have family in West Kirby! Great to see also the origins of the Dee. Highly recommended 🙂

Food was delicious. Bit of a long wait during a busy service but nothing that ruined our evening. Great location set over the river.

Nice location by the river good views and dog friendly. Salmon and chard starter nice flavour. Steak burger good quality and nice fillings. Chips were good too. Nice glass of Shiraz to wash it all down. Nice atmosphere. Staff were very helpful and friendly.

We were looked after very well by staff this weekend, a number of us descended on this venue from the same event, the staff were considerate, friendly and attentive despite the amount of differing customers in. A lovely place to eat with good views. Thank you for a great night.

There was a mistake with the meal order, these things happen. The response was fantastic they immediately worked it out and kept us really well informed.

Called in for lunch. Restaurant is upstairs but it is spread over a lot of floors. We both had cheese and onion pie which was really good. Long time since we've had hot beetroot as a vegetable. Service was prompt and efficient.

Excellent place to eat and drink. Nice clean bar and dining areas. Outside seating overlooking the river. Best of all, many gluten free choices for coeliac disease folks, good draught ales, dog friendly, clean toilets and friendly staff. Highly recommended, especially the gluten free fish and chips 😋

Visited as A group of seven on a Sunday evening. Nice atmosphere and generally good food.I had a slight problem with Yorkshire pudding, but this was resolved promptly and professionally I would without a doubt return again for a meal.

Chose the right day to eat here as the sun was out in mid September -

Had to send food back chicken was cold and chips were cold expensive for what you got too

The ambiance is inviting, the service is excellent, and the food is beyond delicious. A wonderful spot for both casual and special occasions. Loved it!

Always liked visiting here for a drink on the decking and this time round was no different. Feels quite unique being situated on the river Dee. My only gripe was that the toilet floor was soaked in piss.

Stunning location and top notch food. Exceptional value

3 story dining area, excellent service (not rushed, ie, food takes a long time to come out which seems to be the regular pace in this area of UK). Lamb shank was very tender though lacked a bit of taste, fish n chips was very good. Overall, a pleasant dining experience.

A hearty lunch in this beautiful authentic former cornmill with preserved water wheel and mechanical power rails. Lamb - succulent and perfectly cooked. Equally delicious seabass. Wonderful place.

Called in today on the off chance any availability, lucky were fine as prebooked table were arriving an hour and half later. Everyone enjoyed the lunch time meal offers and top marks for the applby cheese and onion and potatoes pie with veg , not my first option but thought I would give it a try. And was very good indeed, the staff were brilliant and when leaving outside the board said no meals available other than pre booked .

I had a meal at the Corn Mill for the 5th time yesterday. The menu is fantastic and the quality of food and balancing of flavours in unparalleled. Indeed far better than Michelin stared place we have eaten. Just the best. Heading back today for lunch

Amazing food and service from staff. Mentioned a dairy intolerance and they made sure everything was safe for me to eat, they even have a full allergen menu. All really lovely staff and very accommodating, would highly recommend you go!

The menu was original and quality ingredients and preparation. The staff were well organised and our meal was a dream. Only complaint was the portions were very generous so we couldn't tackle a dessert.

Great historical building being brought up to date for use as a pub restaurant with spectacular views across the River Dee. They have retained the water wheel, in situ, which you can view easily. We watched kayaks riding the rapids whilst eating superb food and drink. Great choices of food, cask ales and other drinks. Highly recommend. Book a table at busy times.

We were here on the Bank Holiday and it was rammed, but the staff were on top of it and found us an excellent table with river views. The service was exceptional, and the menu, food and drink all top-notch. Not cheap but fabulous.

Stunning ! Went with four others and each of our meals, starters, mains and desserts were 10/10, absolutely delicious !!!! Our waitress was lovely and warm natured. Interior decor created a great atmosphere. Bit pricey but 100% worth it, so glad we went !!! I very much recommend the salmon and crab croquette.

A lovely lunch experience. Table reserved took into consideration our request regarding having a pram for our newborn. Service was quick and the food was delicious. Staff were very friendly and polite. Would recommend.

We were looking for a good restaurant in Llangollen, something little bit special and after reading some reviews, promptly booked the Cornmill. It is situated right next to the River Dee in the centre of Llangollen, perfect for an intimate evening meal as it is full of various nooks and crannies/ rooms for eating in. We managed to get a window table with views across the river towards Llangollen train station. Service was excellent. Extremely friendly staff. Food was decent too, fish and chips, chicken burger with a starter of soup. Yum. We parked away from the Cornmill as it is tricky to get near with a car. Public car parking is available a short distance away.

A pub with amazing views overlooking the River Dee at Llangollen, great outdoor seating and the food was lovely. Staff were friendly and the menu gas lots to choose from, I has the cheese pie and omg it was delicious! 🤩

Best pie I've ever had! All other cheese and potato pie is ruined for me now! 😅 This is a fantastic place to eat, far outclassing anything else we had in Llangollen. It's a fantastic old building with a lot of atmosphere, right on the river with great views. Staff were really friendly and on it. And as I mentioned amazing food. Only thing to note is that when we were there they were only doing food for people who had booked, you could wander in for a drink but not for food. So book ahead and go try it!

Fantastic front of house staff, great food great service

Been here twice 6 months apart. First time was great, 5 stars. Second time, food was forgotten, order issues and noticeably salty. Would I make a third time, not sure.

Visited Llangollan for the first time and picked Corn Mill for lunch by chance. Lovely pub with tasty food. Tried the smoked salmon toast and chargrilled shawarma chicken which are both delicious. The staff are very helpful and friendly. The view of the restaurant is gorgeous.

Not many places around providing vegan food however, the vegan curry I had here was amazing.

We ate here on Saturday evening as staying locally and agreed without exception, it’s one of the nicest pubs we’ve been to (and we’ve visited a fair few!) The food was quality, the service excellent - Ellen took such good care of us from start to finish - and the waterside location outstanding. We had after dinner drinks on the terrace overlooking the water which, on a warm summer’s evening, was pretty much perfect!

Although we have visited Llangollen many times, we decided to try the food in the Corn Mill. The food was delicious, we both had the steak which was cooked to perfection, one of the best steaks I have had for along time. We went back again on the following evening and had the beer battered fish and chips again the food was delicious and well worth the money. On both visits the staff were very welcoming and the service was excellent. A special shout out for Anna who made us feel really welcome and couldn't do enough for us, she is courteous with a lovely personality. We will definitely be eating at the Corn Mill again on our future visits.
