Don’t do food as such but they do have a guest food pop up every week. Lovely interior. Refurb is great. Fabulous owners & staff friendly and attentive. Always get a warm welcome 🤗

Visited here on a walk with two friends, the bar men was super friendly and we had an enjoyable conversation with him. Lovely venue and excellent prices for rural North Wales. Will definitely be back!

We were there for a drink, as the pub has been closed all winter and wondered how it has changed. The wood burner has been taken out and the hard uncomfortable chairs and clinical layout of tables did not help ! The Landlord is extremely miserable, there was no welcome at all. The only plus was a good selection of beers !

We both had a simple meal, the foid was hot. My husband had the Chicken and mushroom pie (made at the local butchers in Mold), fries and gravy, I had scampi and fries. We both had a drink too, very well priced. It's a good local pub, which I suspect gets alot of walkers and cyclists in the summer.

Arrived to a fabulous welcome it’s been ten yrs since we’d visited as they didn’t allow dogs however they do now under a lovely new owner who even has a barrel of dog treats. We had lunch from a simple but lovely menu, it’s was gorgeous. Rounded off our day nicely and can’t wait to return. Please don’t change a thing it’s perfect. Jane Phil and Ted xxx 🐾

Decent food but I think your really going for the location to have a drink, and I don't really drink.

This lovely quaint little pub is a little off the beaten track but it’s well worth taking the time to visit.We popped in for a Sunday roast which was absolutely first class! My wife had a query over the menu and the chef who was very friendly was only too pleased to oblige.We will certainly return in the future.

Me and my friend went for a nice walk in Loggershead and wanted a traditional pub to have some food in. We found this little gem hidden in a little village. The service was incredible and you were made to feel right at home. Food is reasonably priced and tastes amazing. Highly recommended going here if your passing. They also sell home made walking sticks. Incredible place!

Beautiful place lovely setting, staff couldn't do enough for us even our dog Harley. The food is home cooked plenty of it great choice on menu highly recommend.

From the moment we stepped in, we were made to feel very welcome. The Guinness was excellent and the food was the kind of comforting 'pub grub' we were after. With the great personable service, delicious food, great drink and open fire, it's the perfect village pub. We'll be back again for sure

Absolutely lovely village pub, tucked in the village, friendly owners and staff, brilliant menu and huge portions, lovely atmosphere with a log burner roaring when we arrived. We had Starters and a main meal with some soft drinks was excellent value for 4 of us. Home made chips too which is always a bonus. Great selection of beers and spirits to choose from. We will definitely return.

Great pub, very welcoming and nice food. After a walk up moel famau we went for some drinks and food. Landlord welcomed us and showed us to a table. Table service due to restrictions. Staff made sure we wanted for nothing. Nice food and drinks. Will definitely call back here again. ☺️

A warm welcome awaited us in the Miners Arms on a cold Saturday afternoon. Bar staff and landlord were friendly and attentive. We both had a half of the local cider and two chicken & mushroom pie lunches. Absolutely delicious and filled us up ready for our walk later on. Relaxing and roomy with a lovely atmosphere in idyllic surroundings…peaceful and picturesque. This was a return visit and there will be many more throughout the following seasons . . .

It was so nice and the staff were so friendly and welcoming. The food is well cooked but goodness those pies! I couldnt move as so full. Definitely worth another visit. A very enjoyable afternoon in pleasant surrondings.

We booked the Miners Arms for a family get together after another venue let us down, 24 hours before our arranged time. We'd never been here before and although the menu is a little limited (which was explained to us when booking) we all (6) had a thoroughly enjoyable evening. The food was delicious and all staff were great. Felt very welcomed. Would visit again when next in the area.

What an absolute delight - stumbled upon this first class traditional pub just outside of Mold - yes I was lost... If you haven't been have a drive out, the history of the building is awesome to - having originally been 3 miners cottages

Such a delightful establishment. Customer service in hospitality is a must and they have hit the nail on the head. The proprietors are friendly and welcoming and I would highly recommend this pub. Will be returning when I am next in north wales

It was very nice, the staff are really friendly and the pub had a great atmosphere and very welcoming. Really well looked after and really on top of social distancing and the track and trace system. Recommend anyone to pay them a visit.

A warm cosy amazing welcome is to be had at the miners arms. Settled off the main road of maeshafan village the miners is cosy on the inside but has an ample beer garden. With real ales and hot pies what better place to spend a weekend afternoon after a good walk up moel famu, or a morning at logger heads, both a short drive away cold beers Perfectly poured guiness and a selection of pies, served by friendly staff. Would 100% go here again.

Just stooped off for coffee during a country ramble. Lovely friendly staff and great coffee - we had a cappaccino and lattee. Will call again!

Not been before and on the off chance looked where was closest and open for Sunday dinner...what a lovely surprise. Very cosy atmosphere and welcoming staff behind the bar and restaurant. Sunday roast was delicious with great children's roast too! Lovely to see dogs around the bar. Will be calling again

Since my last visit, the place has had a refurbishment, and looks a lot better, although I didn't mind the way it was before. This is a pub I have visited before whilst in the area for walks. I always enjoyed it's unchanged and old fashioned feeling, with the quietness and a cheap basic pub meal. The things I once enjoyed may well have gone for ever now, although I can understand that the business has to make money and therefore what I like might not be what everyone else wants. I can't comment on food, as we didn't eat, but we did look at a menu, because our child was hoping for a something to eat. Sadly, all that appeared to be on offer was Sunday Roast. No portions of chips or kid type meals on offer. We bought drinks in any case, and noted that the pub was very busy, though we managed to get a table - right in front of the entrance door. As it was a freezing cold day, I got an icy draught every time someone entered the pub - which was frequently, as the place was buzzing. There was a fireplace behind me too, but it has no fire in it. The choice of beers/lager did not enthrall us either - no craft ale, and the lager was Kronenbourg. We wanted a quiet relaxing pint, but realized that we'd picked the wrong pub, and perhaps the wrong day. It's probably quieter on a Saturday? So, if you're looking for a smartly refurbished pub with a great Sunday lunch and you like lots of buzz, then you may love this place. If you like a quiet relaxing pint of decent beer/lager and more choice of things to eat on the menu, don't come on a Sunday.

Great place to stop after a day outdoors with dogs welcomed. Excellent selection of drinks, will call again and sample the meals.

We went to this hotel as a group the day after a family wedding. The lamb had sold out which was a real shame as we would have liked real Welsh lamb in Wales. We then chose the beef which was cooked to perfection and served with all the trimmings. Excellent food , would visit again if in area.

We had Sunday Lunch here, it is a small local pub but with plenty of seating inside and greeted as you walk in by a very well stocked bar (all sorts of Gin's etc). Mix of local's and people eating and very friendly atmosphere. Food was very quick to arrive and the beef and lamb were cooked perfectly and sourced locally, would recommend!

Fabulous little gem food was great good ale staff were very friendly, reasonable prices will definitely return soon.

Called here for a meal with my fiancee. Lovely pub with very friendly staff. I decided to have a sunday dinner (beef) and my partner had the mushroom and hoat cheese wellington. Both meals were served with all the trimmings. The food was fantastic and would highly recommend thjs place. Am looking forward to returning

Quaint little pub - off the beaten track - but worth a visit. Parking a little difficult as it was so busy. Good choice of beers and wines - nice Sunday menu - only disappointment - no Lamb available - in Wales? Friendly staff and waitresses extra friendly - all smiling. Worth a visit.

I have just had the most amazing starter and Sunday lunch, in fact, the best I have had in a long time! The food was served piping hot and was really tasty. The Guinness and ales were in great condition and everything was nice and clean. Lovely, friendly staff too. I will definitely be back!

The Miners Arms is a lovely pub. We were staying at a local B&B so popped in for a meal and drinks. We were warmly welcomed and enjoyed the buzz of an obviously very popular and friendly pub. The food was good and we'd definitely return. I wish our local pubs were as great as this one!

My husband and I had a really great meal at this pub. Everything was perfectly cooked and well presented - he had the home made tomatoes soup and I had the smoked salmon and prawn. fishcake which was delicious. We followed with fish and chips and I had pot roast chicken. The service was excellent and staff very friendly, prices very reasonable and needless to say we will definitely be going back soon!

I had a fantastic dinner last night..quality of the ingredients,preparation and price...all was in there. I was really pleased!they have great selections of wine and the local rhuburb's gin is amazing! Locals are friendly and the pub is in a stunning green area. Highly recommended!

Walked to the Miners for lunch and beer last weekend, with our dog. We were able to sit inside with the dog, luckily as it was raining. There were a couple of other well behaved dogs sitting with their owners.

A lovely evening at the Miners - great selection of gins, tasty food, and excellent service - made for a great evening. Johnnie catered brilliantly for our coeliac friend, and had bought us orange flavoured gin, by special request!!

Called in on a Friday evening the food and service is fantastic Jonny the chef is a master of this culinary art. Melyin on the bar was great to. The food is fresh and tasty and well worth a vist.I will be returning very soon.

Visited The Miners for first time. Very impressed with staff and pub interior. Just popped in for a drink but decided to have Sunday Lunch. The meal was excellent and hot, service throughout was very good. Good point for us was Dog freindly.

My wife and I went for dinner on Thursday after reading the reviews and were not disappointed. Although we hadn’t booked Tammy was able to give us a table, despite the dining area being busy.

A fabulous refurbishment really opened up this charming pub. Food has really stepped up several notches, restaurant standards, excellent portions. Would highly recommend this delightful country pub for both its choice of wine and real ales as well as the food. Word of advice book to avoid disappointment!!!! We will most definitely be back

We called in at 6pm on Saturday without a reservation and were lucky to get a table as many were reserved.

Visited with my partner over the weekend whilst out for the day. We stopped in for some drinks and food. Ordered our drinks and asked for a menu but didn't get our change back for the drinks, not to much of a hassle as only a couple if coins. Then we found a seat at a table and proceeded to see what food was available. Just a couple minutes later a member of staff approached us to take the food order. I ordered first due to my partner still a little indecisive about he wanted, once he knew what I was having he got the same. Staff member went in to kitchen then came back out and sat at the bar with the other staff. Whilst sitting only 5 feet away I could hear what the staff thought was a quiet conversation, which happened to be about my partner and I. The male member of staff who took our order called us vague as we did not know what to order at that exact moment. Luckily my partner did not hear this as he could of been annoyed as was I but we are not the type of people to cause a scene. Found it odd to pay for food and drinks separately. Also found the staff rude, unfriendly and very much of a click. We would not visit again and felt unwelcome and looked down on. Luckily this did not completely ruin our day out.

Very nicely refurbished with some nice touches to the decor (miners’ lamp as the electric lights for example). Steak pie special was very nice, as was the apple pie - well done chef!

Recently dined here with my husband, lovely little pub in the village. Really nice food. Would definitely recommend. Not loads of tables but nice and imitate.

The Miners has been very tastefully revamped. A very warm welcome by staff. Food was very good and choice of drinks was excellent. Other friends were disappointed especially with the fish main course.

What a lovely pub. Fish and chips best ever. In an area of outstanding natural beauty and loads of walks. Imagining coming back on a Sunday for a walk and lunch in spring.

Signs are still up advertising the Miners but be advised that it is closed for refurbishment. Builders say it is reopening at the end of the month. Some signs would have been helpful....

You won't 'happen to be passing' this gem, it is tucked away in a little village a couple of miles from Mold. The new owner did much of the hard work, demolishing stone walls and installing a brilliant glass sided log burner. Add great value (real ale £3 a pint) and a chef from a Michelin starred background and all of a sudden the village boozer is a foodies' destination, but still a locals' 'local'. Great menu and superb bar snacks like proper chips, hummous, the best fish goujons I have ever tasted. Guess what...it's cheap! Tommo and Merv at your service - and what good service.

Called in at this pub with a friend after a days walking. We’ve visited here before, but noticed this time that the staff & menu had changed. This is no longer a bog standard ‘pub grub’ location! ... the new chef arrived 5 weeks ago, having previously worked at a very well established and high quality local eatery, & he has been slowly turning around the menu.

Had an excellent meal at The Miners Arms last night. All four meals were superb!! The atmosphere is brilliant. Very welcoming and accommodating staff. Had a lovely lunch today, the new chef is producing delicious food, I had 8hr lamb shoulder, it just fell off the bone his wife Laura served us, a lovely couple, looking forward to returning

we were staying in the area we popped in early one evening, hoping for a drink & bite to eat. We were greeted by a welcoming wood burner & friendly barman. We decided to have a meal, & both our main courses & homemade desserts were delicious, freshly cooked & very tasty. Service could not be faulted. We learned that the woodburner was relatively new so took a couple of photos to show how it is visible from both the bar & dining area, warming the whole pub, & it really is perfect on a cold evening. Would definitely recommend a visit to this friendly local pub if you are in the area.

As soon as I stepped through the door I was greeted by the staff and customers who were very friendly and very keen to suggest their choice of ale! Merv who is the close friend of Tomo the new owner was very keen to tell me about the plans to develop and improve the interior...a new large TV that will be showing the Rugby in October, a new fireplace to expose the rear room and an extended bar ... Brian the ‘Bar Man’ will want to do more than his usual Friday night! Oh! and they promised to have the best pies...

wow indeed, this is a typical country village pub in maeshafn just close to loggerheads country park the management has changed since i first went but the new management give an excellent service and food, its a photographers delight and for walkers

I only visited the once for an evening meal. The gammon was very good, large portion. Nice little pub, popular with locals and walkers in the area.

Out for a drive over the recent Bank Holiday - keeping well away from the coast roads here - and found this delighful pub. Very warm welcome from 'mine host'and well kept selection of real ales. A further plus was an excellent range of bar meals and snacks.A joy to visit

We called at this lovely pub one evening to see if we could get some food. The hosts were very friendly and the home cooked food excellent, as was the Theakstons OP. We will call again when in the area.

Had a fantastic meal here on Friday night, friendly staff and great service. Special Pie (turkey & ham) was one of the nicest I’ve had.

I’m afraid very disappointed with this Sunday Roast.....2 roast potatoes, 3 tiny bits of beef, cold Yorkshire pudding, not enough veg for 2 people, sadly I poured gravy onto veg....it was absolutely vile...could not eat it, they kindly did not charge for my meal....£13.50 for one meal very expensive for a second rate meal....would not recommend at all

The pub was lovely and the bar man was very friend and so where the other customers . Lovely setting for walkers . We both had food which cane rather quick . I had steak but was a bit well done for the medium I ordered . Other than that wasn’t bad , good stop off for hungry or thirsty walkers .

Walked to The Miners Arms for lunch last Saturday lunchtime. We hadn't been for over a year. They are now serving Theakston ales, Old Peculiar and Best Bitter plus Wainwrights Golden ale, not sure if that was a guest beer?

Stayed in a B&B; just down the road who recommended the pub for some local grub. Well food was lovely (all 3 courses!), great choice of beers and ales, and really friendly service. Highly recommended.

Drove past the signs at loggerheads and decided to follow them. Thought we were lost at first but then came across a little village. Signposting in the village for the pub was not great but after we had turned round we noticed the pub tucked away. It was very quiet there but we were late for lunch (1.45 ish). This was not a problem and we ordered food and drinks. OMG!! The food was absolutely gorgeous, I was stuffed but it was that nice I would have forced myself to eat more!! The gravy in the pie was to die for!! Will definitely be returning
