What a surprising and nice find. Wouldn’t have gone in based on the exterior. I think it’s an old pub but it was recommended. I know why now. The Victoria sponge was so light and the coffee second to none. There is a cosy cafe on one side and an Internet cafe the other side. You’re welcome to sit either side. Staff were so friendly and kept asking was everything ok. The coffee was the best available sourced from a speciality coffee company in Llandudno rather than whatever was cheap in the cash and carry. The great thing about it being an Internet cafe is that when other cafes shut at 4pm this is still well and truly open for business. Definitely will go back if I’m in the area. Oh and the toilets are clean and plenty of them based on the past use if the premises I assume. Prices are in anyone’s budget but better quality than cheap cafes elsewhere. Seats are comfy.

2 adults and 1 child went for Sunday lunch - absolutely perfect. Good selection of seasonal veg and the meat was cooked 'spot on'. We ordered cake as well for dessert but had to take that home as we were so full and the price was £7.95 a meal - its not worth cooking at home for that, especially for the quality!!

Superb Sunday Lunch. Hubby had Pork and I had Turkey. Hot and plenty of veg, gravy and sauce. We both had starters. Soup particularly delicious, spicy vegetable. Prawn cocktail on a plate - I prefer in a glass ! I had a chocolate brownie - oops those calories ! Service excellent as usual. Thank you Michelle and team. Sue and John

We went here just for a change as we had no previous knowledge, but we were really glad we did. I elected to go for the Soup and a roll option; which was so good I had to do a bow to the "Soup Magician", as it was very clearly homemade and wonderful.

Arrived at 0930hrs during the week and wasn't too busy (filled up a bit whilst we were there). Eggs "Benny" was a good choice (eggs benedict) - the Ham was nice (thick) and the eggs were perfect, the muffin was also enjoyable. A dash of tabasco (my choice) finished it off nicely. Would have liked a little bit more salad on the side but we shall not let that detract from the experience. Fantastic large Cappuccino. Decor is light, airy and pleasant with attentive staff. Parking outside, if it is full, fear not! There is the free library parking and if even that fails, just pop over the road to the big Tesco. Certainly worth a visit if looking for breakfast in Abergele.

Ended up in the bar one evening on our Honeymoon. Excellent pub! Friendly locals, great value tasty food and lovely staff. The bowls Nacho's were immense, and the table next to us had the most massive bowl of chips!..And our ginger sponge pudding was delicious.

Just off Abergele Road in a cute village St George. This is a grade 11 listing traditional pub with a cosy fire as soon as you walk in. Winter opening times Friday to Sunday. Would like to try the Sunday lunch here. Like the atmosphere, very relaxing and cute, quiet corners around the side. Lots of seating and outdoor seating ☀️. Very nice decor in here, love the ornaments dotted around and local prints on the wall. All add to the ambiance as they say and make it inviting. Great service from the staff 👏. Crispy chilli beef and noodles was ‘amazing’ even had to take some home as it was such a big portion (from the ‘light’ bites menu) 10/10 👜 handbag review for our FAB lunch today. Thank you.

I would give this a 3.5 if I could as it was better than average (3/5) but not very good (4/5). Our starters (the asparagus and the lamb croquette) were ok. Both had eggs that tasted quite bland, and the asparagus portion size was very small. At a price of £8 and £10 respectively, we expected more. Our mains were much better, both the plaice and pea/mint risotto. Good portion sizes and good taste, couldn't fault these dishes. With the dessert, back to that feeling of disappointment we had when the starters arrived. The £8 lime glazed tart was ridiculously small, and the roasted banana ice-cream that came with it frankly tasted like a regular vanilla ice-cream. Overall, the entire meal was ok, but too expensive given the sizes of the starters and desserts.
