Just had Sunday lunch here. It was fantastic.

Sunday lunch was absolutely delicious, highly recommended. Picture is of the porchetta. Cauliflower cheese comes with it, no need to order separately. Gravy really tasty and parsnips perfect. Service was super friendly but not attentive really. We were left waiting For a dessert menu for some time , they were super busy though. Would go back for Sunday lunch again.

Had Sunday lunch here again and found it not as good as it has been in the past. Seemed short staffed and with new staff who weren't as good as previously. Lady serving was great. Guess kitchen short staffed too as green beans weren't even trimmed. Would not serve them unprepared at home and don't expect that when out. Food is very tasty though and nice environment.

Had 3 veggie roasts and 1 beef. Every single one of us cleared our plates! Might be the best roast I’ve eaten you know!! Yorkshire pud, gravy and red cabbage was so so good !! Will travel back from Manchester just to eat that again !

I had fish, chips and mushy peas and my partner had bacon steak with roast parsnips, roast carrots and colcannon. Both meals were excellent. I was particularly pleased by the side vegetables which were a step up from the competition. Service was friendly and efficient. We will be returning,

You cannot fail to be impressed with this beautiful old inn from the outside. The inside is just as impressive. Total history. The menu choice was fantastic and each course and each dish were very impressive and tasty. Accomodated our infant and dog very nicely. Service was excellent. Would recommend with confidence. Will be going back next time.

I was a guest of a client who bought me lunch. Service was very good and quick. I would have given them 5 stars but I think the choices on their menu could be improved. There was only one item on the mains section which was to my liking and that was the fish and chips. The mushy peas were really nice and I liked the side salad but I've had better fish and chips from my local chippy in Abergele. I would go back again and hope to see some improvement.

Visited recently and had a lovely Sunday lunch. Everything was as it should be. Lovely surroundings, great service, good food, if I had to criticise anything it would be that the portion size is a tad small otherwise excellent 👌

Sunday lunch among the best I have had recently with buttery soft beef roasted to perfection and gravy of the gods. Cannot recommend highly enough.

Starters excellent. Roast dinner very good. Service good. Parsnips slightly undercooked but otherwise all good. Would go again.

We love our Sunday lunches out and had not eaten here for some time. Arrived at 1.05 for a 1.15 booking. Restaurant was fairly busy but not full. We both had beef. Food was very good. Not quite excellent. Roast potatoes were slightly dry. Beef cooked pink and was tasty. Hard to cut very thin strip of fat off beef as knives not sharp. All other food was excellent. Partner had dessert. He loved it. I had a taste and found it to be slightly lacking sweetness. Servers were all lovely and pleasant but service was a little slow. Food was served at 1.40 pm. Good value overall. Around £70 for 2 mains, 1 dessert, 4 pints and tip. Would definitely recommend.

Recommended this venue from the owners of a cottage we rented for a week. Food and service were both great and would definitely revisit when we are back in the area. Lots of good options for adults and kids.

We had Sunday lunch at the Kinmel Arms in St. George today. We were celebrating our 35th wedding anniversary and there is no better place to celebrate. I had the roast beef which came with beautiful home made Yorkshire puddings, roast parsnip, roast potatoes, swede mash, red cabbage, stuffing and gravy. I also had a dish of cauliflower cheese. My husband had the pork with the same veg and Yorkshire pudding. Everything was cooked to perfection and tasted delicious. We followed with the chocolate amaretti pudding. The best pudding we've both ever tasted. Our compliments go out to the chef. Empty plates from us. The service was excellent, the lady that looked after us was wonderful and so friendly and helpful. The ambience is as I expected from such a wonderful old building. It's a beautiful building with comfy seats and beautiful decor. Although the building is old it's still bright and airy. We will definitely be going back as soon as we can. I must also say that the delicious food was not overpriced. It's excellent value for money. I highly recommend the Kinmel Arms. I wish I has taken more photos. I will add an edit at a later date. I was too busy enjoying my delicious food!!

Absolutely gorgeous Sunday roast dinner today at the The Kinmel Arms ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️, in the little village of St George , it was absolutely beyond delicious, everything was all freshly cooked , (not a frozen pea or carrot ect to be found, thank god!! ) , everthing on the plate was all locally sourced produce and was cooked to perfection , the beef was cooked just how I like it and just melted in your mouth as it was that tender , I can not praise this restaurant enough and will definitely be back ….😋😋😋😋

Having visited the Kinmel Arms on numerous occasions prior to Covid, our recent visit fell far short of its former glory. Firstly, we were shown to a table right next to the drafty door despite most of the pub being half empty (this should have told us enough on an Easter weekend). The drinks were served in dirty glasses (probably down to the bartender wiping them on a dirty cloth). The menu completely changed from before, offered basic options which would require no skill in the kitchen. The food when it arrived after a lengthy wait despite the place being half empty was very bland, served on dirty plates and my father’s meal literally inedible (he’s never complained in his life). I was surprised that they were charging so much for unpalatable food. What a shame the establishment changed hands, and therefore won’t be returning.

We'd like to come back. The food was very nice. The staff were really fantastic, welcoming and helpful. I think the reviews from pre-2020 may be misleading as the menu is different and opening times for Sunday in March are incorrect but we were still pleased. Lovely welcoming atmosphere and as mentioned great staff.

We had a great Christmas family meal on the weekend. Nice big table in the conservatory surrounded by lovely decorations. Staff were attentive ( while bringing food out) and friendly, one improvement I would say is we would have had more drinks if we'd have been asked, as it got a bit confusing weather it was table service or we where to go to the bar ourselves which was difficult for anyone sat against the window to get in and out. Food was a bit slow coming out but understandable with a large group of 11 adults and 4 children. Food was all very tasty and cooked really well, I had the scotch egg, turkey and Christmas pudding. Will definitely be going back again soon and recommending to friends. Thank you for a great festive meal.

Sunday lunch , well What can I say , very popular busy place . Lovely atmosphere , we had a perfect table by the bar as we had our dog with us . Great service , we did have a bit of wait for our mains but they were worth waiting for , one of the best roasts we have had in ages . Pork melted in your mouth and beef was very tender . Lovely Vegetables , good roasties and Yorkshire puddings . Also lovely cauliflower cheese . Everything hot and very tasty . Deserts not a big choice but we enjoyed what we had . We are staying in the area so very happy that I found this place . Highly recommend .

One of the best Sunday dinners ever!

Omg where to start, the food was incredible, the atmosphere and ambiance was perfect and the staff were amazing. I had the prawn cocktail to start and my hubby had the scotch egg, both beautiful and tasty. We both had the roast beef for main, I can honestly say it’s the best Sunday roast we’ve had in a long time and we go out for dinner every Sunday. The beef was so tender and cut like butter, the roasties were crisp with loads of veg. The log fire was lit and dogs welcome too. Thank you for a lovely experience!

I decided to treat myself for a nice meal in a pub in the area I have moved to recently. Some reviews described the staff as suspect but I gave it a chance. It was still quite early in the evening, so I thought I would have a pint first. On arriving I was greeted by the barman so thought that was a good sign. However, when he finished serving someone he then asked ‘who’s next?’. Someone who was not even next after me - another 2 guys to my left had come in before him too - but shouted out an order for a pint of carlsberg and was duly served. He probably was one of the local chronies, with manners of a pig. A good barman should always know who is next unless the place is mobbed - there were about 6 people in 🤣. Anyway, the pub lost my presence sharpish - their loss and I will not be back if that is their attitude to new clientele.

Just happened to pull off the dual carriageway and stumbled on this absolute gem of a pub. Log burner roaring, staff cheerful, service friendly.

Below average Sunday lunch Roast beef tough very chewy and fatty Potatoes not freshly cooked, hard dry skins Parsnips not roasted soft and soggy Rhubarb crumble , well never seen anything like it, hot stewed rhubarb in a ice cream glass No crumble ,,,ice cream and custard The Yorkshire pudding was nice but my have been out of a packet This place needs a chef asap Never been so disappointed in a Sunday lunch The waitress staff very pleasant We eat out most Sundays and thought we try this place again Sadly we won’t be back any time soon

The staff were efficient and very friendly. What lets this place down is the food. 4 out of 10 at best. A very dry pie; overcooked dense piece of salmon literally swimming in teriyaki sauce; steak which was ok but dry with no sauce, very runny tasteless crumble for pudding. It was a busy night because it was the monthly quiz night, but the staff coped very well. The chef and team let the place down. We will not be returning or recommending.

Booked here last minute with the kids, it was quiet as we were having dinner rather early. The service was brilliant and staff were very attentive. The food was cooked perfectly, chef obviously knows what he’s doing, the steak was cooked perfectly and the chips are to die for. Highly recommend this little gem!

Went for father's day at 2pm yesterday and service VERY slow . Roast potatoes were very hard as though they were cooked hours before and warmed up . Yorkshire puddings were very hard . Pork extremely tough and fatty. Runner beans not cooked , VERY crunchy..

On the Abergele road, last night this Grade II listed building with a boutique hotel attached, has a lot of character and charm. Really nice inside and out door seating on a lovely sunny evening. All on one level with disabled toilets and other toilets down the stairs. Great choices of menu using lots of well known local produce for lunch and dinner including light bites but would have liked to see more dessert choices. Duck leg Bon Bon were fab. Excellent service and thank you for taking on board our comments on the slightly over salted pan fried chicken breasts (great portion size 👏) and we would have liked a little more beef on one of the herb crusted beef short rib meal (mine was great with lots of beef 👏) Very good of you to give a discount 👍. The baked cod was excellent, the lovely crusty baked quiche tasty and the lamb rump delicious. And check out the photo of that excellent cheese board. Recommend you try it out too 😁

Such a lovely little country pub. Great food and good selection of local drinks. Staff were absolutely lovely and so welcoming. Dog friendly too which was a must for us and even had HUGE biscuits for them. Would definitely come again. Only downfall for us was the menu on the website hadn’t been updated so went here specifically for a dish that we had seen on the website, which sadly was no longer on the menu as it had changed.

They kindly fitted us in at very short notice following a change of plans. I used to go regularly but haven't been recently, so wasn't sure what to expect. The food and drink was superb and the staff were absolutely brilliant. Friendly and welcoming. We had a great evening there and will be sure to return.

Absolutely beautiful food! We visited on Easter Sunday and called ahead only half an hour before to secure a table as we were driving home. They could not have been more helpful! I think the person who wrote the review below me must have gone to a different pub! Because we think the our Easter lunch was then best we have ever eaten! Absolutely stunning lamb and beef! 2 of us had the lamb 2 had the beef. The meat was tender and tasty and the vegetables and roast potatoes absolutely delicious! I would recommend to anyone in a heartbeat. The service was also great and the ambiance and setting is beautiful. We will be back for sure!

Been a few times before and always had a great Sunday roast, but now it's seems it has catering? Pre ordered via email just a main which usually come with vegetables separate as during the pre order they never asked about allergens so presumed it would be the same, wrong ! Veg just placed on the plate. Roast beef was tasteless and chewy and then realised I was chewing on the string (knot included) from what the beef was tied in the oven, which then put me off finishing my dinner. Waiter was informed but no customer service around that. To then be presented with 2 desserts when advised we didn't order desserts thy brought over a hand written list of orders to say we were wrong and we had, I had to show the waitress my email to prove I had not ordered dessert but was still made to feel like I was wrong. Such a shame as it used to be a lovely place for a Sunday meal. £18.95 for 1 roast that I could eat ! And another we had to eat around the veg which tainted the rest and £10 for a children's main alone.

outside could definetly be improved on, its not bad, but it was such a fine day , they could have parasols outside , some lovely flowers , as in some of previous photos of few years ago, but inside really is nice, large conservatory, and nice little tables around the bar, lovely blond hairs woman served us , the food was excellent, i had the ploughmans and my partner the quiche, will definetly return , but watch out theyre only open on weekends as far as i know . PS kinmel arms , get parasols etc for the spring/ summer months

Lovely place to stop and have something to eat. Myself and the family were stopping at a Warners in Bodelwyddan about the same time last year and found this delightful pub. So we went back this year; the manager and staff were really helpful and we said we had been before and had food that wasn’t on the menu and he went in the back and the chef did it special. That with the local cider was very tasty. If in North Wales near Abergele give it a try; definitely a place I would recommend.

Went yesterday for sunday lunch the worst i have ever had there Beef not good guality ,took home for my dog ,yorkshire pudding over done ,veg raw ,Roast pots not nice been hanging around not fresh ,like the yorkshire pudding ,then we had what they said was cheesecake was not ,i have been going to kinmel arms for over 40 yrs never again ,find some where else for my family and friends.

Fantastic place. Vicky is lovely and all the waiting on staff.. the band was really good. And I highly recommend going to this lovely place..

We were staying a few days near Prestatyn and went for an evening meal here. Such a lovely place and really nice staff. The food was excellent and the whole evening was so enjoyable and special. Certainly worth going out of your way to visit.

Myself, my partner and our one-year old went here for Sunday Lunch this past weekend. The Kinmal Arms is a beautiful looking place inside and out. The room they put us in to have our lunch was slightly cold, no heating on even though it's winter. The meal was basic, we did expect better considering the prices and it's reputation. Overall I give it 4 stars, the staff were very nice, the food wasn't bad apart from the meat, it wasn't good meat, but overall the meal was OK just not what was expected. I wouldn't mind trying this place out for a few drinks on one evening, sitting and drinking on the sofas next to the lit fire.

Seems to have gone downhill a bit since change of ownership. Bar too bright with bit chaotic service but food still very good

First time visit since it has been taken over. What a huge difference. Really helpful and friendly staff, nice atmosphere (we were there for a late Sunday roast ) - good choice and impressive drinks menu. I look forward to an evening visit soon and...
