The woman behind the counter does NOT wear gloves or washes her hands between serving people. Tongs should be used with each individual item. It's basic hygiene and what if someone had an allergy? We won't be going there again. Disgusting behaviour from a person who works in the food industry

Our 3rd year staying the service in the restaurant for dinner and breakfast was excellent.. food was good typical brewers fayre you know what you're getting .the meal deal is well worth getting you can upgrade for £2 and get a starter,main,dessert plus a drink worth £5 plus buffet breakfast £29.99 Only downside.. when we booked it for 6 people it was £25 its now gone up by £2 we had confirmation when we booked by email But Steven on reception could not honour that price as he didn't know how to put it in the till so he said we would have to pay the new price and he would sort it out with the manager and promised late as well when we passed reception..nothing was done also charged £90 for one of the lads who went into hospital that day as the chap who was sharing couldn't check in till both had been paid ..left a bit of a sour note tbh ..especially seeing I had to pay

The staff were friendly and welcoming and the food was cooked to perfection. The atmosphere was relaxing and made us feel relaxed.

Dirty, no toilet paper, cold room. No blind on bathroom window. Mattress was filthy, bobbles and staining, no mattress protector. Took photograph of the mattress and my partner could not look at it!! We informed the hotel manager and we are getting a refund. Only plus side was the view. It needs a refurb and new beds!

This was our second Christmas Lunch here, and both were very enjoyable. The food and service was good. We were totally satisfied with everything. Nothing much more to be said!

Preciosa comida china para llevar pidió 2 cenas de pollo y pollo al curry el sábado. Fue absolutamente increíble. Personal Encantador como las condiciones climáticas horribles cuando pedimos y nos dijeron que nos mantuviéramos seguros al recoger el pedido. Qué toque tan encantador

Ordered a Chinese stew and really enjoyed it. Run by volunteers. Healthy, well cooked food. Only cost £4 for a good meal.

Can't say I'd go back again for the food but the staff all brilliant

El café y el tocino y el rollito de huevo estaban geniales, aunque las papas fritas estaban congeladas, frías y duras en el medio. Los precios no reflejan la calidad de los alimentos que sirven. Bastante caro en mi opinión. Me dieron cubiertos sucios que tuve que pedir al personal que cambiara. No hay una buena impresión de que atraer más clientes, podría haber causado un desagradable bicho estomacal. Tan buen trabajo que me di cuenta. Creo que tristemente esa será la última visita que recibirán de mí☹️👎

Used to order from here often however the last 2 times we have order we have had an hour and half wait and this time the pizza wasn't cooked properly the dough was still raw

not been in here for a very long time and although it looks ok on the surface its ready for a new everything...The beer was good but like everywhere overpriced but we do live in a holiday resort and the locals are expected to pay holiday prices too.(no wonder the pubs trade is dying)Toilets are in need of a full refurb and look as if someone is in the process of attempting to start the process 🤔 Pleasant enough place to enjoy a few beers but feel it could do with an update.

Have stayed here several times now and the new owner J.W.Lees who bought the business from the Whitbread group for seem to be improving the hotel which is also undergoing a massive refurbishment. All of the present staff that we met are excellent in doing their jobs and super friendly which surely must help the business to improve in the future,after all, it's good people that are hard to replace and should be looked after.
