Staying overnight in Llandudno a date at Dylan`s and Menai mussels from the outset had always been top of the agenda. Having been unsuccessful in the past in securing a table at their Criccieth restaurant I took the opportunity to make an advance reservation. Arriving with my wife for an early dinner we were warmly welcomed and shown to our reserved window table with its lovely views out to sea. Relaxing in the comfortable seating on the ground floor we ordered aperitifs of a refreshing South African Longbeach chenin blanc and the excellent local Wrexham lager. To start the proceedings we chose seafood chowder (salmon, haddock, king prawns and clams), and plump Anglesey seared scallops. The main course selection being Dylan`s roast chicken Caesar salad and "The House Speciality" fresh Menai mussels, the principal ingredient of the delicious moules mariniere. These sweet and smaller version than the rope grown variety were absolutely first class with no hint of grit. As an accompaniment they were served with sourdough "Pan de Campagne" with a portion of skinny fries as a extra. The food was well prepared, nicely seasoned, visually appetizing, and most important fulfilled our taste expectations. An efficient and quick service from the friendly staff made the occasion even more memorable To conclude, a thoroughly enjoyable meal to complete our stay in Llandudno.

We went in on the Thursday early evening to book a table for Friday night and decided to stay for a drink, 3 drinks later haha - drinks prices are slightly more expensive but the venue makes up for it, great interior and relaxing setting. Staff on both nights were friendly & attentive with prompt service on a busy nights. Food is priced similar to other settings & menu is varied with something for everyone - I had chicken Katsu & my wife had Gambas, portion size was fine & quality was very good - we had no complaints

Lovely view outside. Bit pricey but ok. Staff not the happiest bunch. What bar doesn't sell peanuts with a drink unless you're having a meal? Shame as the extra mile makes all the difference.

Food is very overpriced for what you get. Additional £2.25 for one small piece of bacon on a burger. Extra charges for GF burger bun and a sprinkle of seasoning on a tiny portion of fries. £4 for an appletiser….rip off. Food/drinks are not value for money. Would not recommend. Shame as venue and location are good.

Called in on a breezy Monday night. It was still quite busy at around 7:30pm but we were quickly found a table. I was initially put off by the price of a pint of local beer (£7.25!) but a more reasonably priced bottle of non local ale filled a gap. My wife ordered the feather blade of beef and myself the chicken in a basket. Both very nice, tasty and filling. Given there were only 2 waitresses serving, it’s was noticeable how good the young lass who served us was. Friendly and attentive (sorry we didn’t ask your name, blonde, ponytail with glasses), ask for a pay rise! 👏🏼👏🏼😎

We read the reviews on this restaurant and decided that this was the place to try in Llandudno. We were not disappointed. We both had a very nice starter and main course - fish, obviously and it was extremely tasty. The staff were very attentive and friendly. A lovely little shop to buy lovely gifts and some of their tasty sauces. Well recommended.

We have eaten at Dylan’s many times and always had a great experience. I don’t live locally so was looking forward to a visit with my sister yesterday Wasn’t busy but then it was mid afternoon so didn’t expect it to be. 2 members of front of house staff who were both very friendly greeted us We ordered drinks which arrived promptly firstly the wrong drink and then not the brand on the menu, Fentimans I consider to be a premium brand but I was served Britvic, this wouldn’t of been an issue however I wasn’t told We both had burgers, both were very tasty but both were tepidThis has not been the usual high standard that we’re used to and I’m very disappointed to write this review

Been to this restaurant many times as well as it’s sister one in Menai Bridge. Reluctant to say but have to say that I was quite disappointed. Table was booked at 12.30 and got our meal at 1.50. Not really good enough. I ordered steak but didn’t want the tomato or mushroom, however they no substitute for those items yet charged me the full price. I had started with their (delicious) BBQ wings but didn’t bring a finger bowl until I drew attention to the ‘messyness’ of the dish. Again not good enough. Service was adequate no more. Left feeling quite let down.

Having read mixed reviews I didn’t go there expecting it to be amazing. The staff were very friendly and helpful but the service was extremely slow. This isn’t great when you have kids with you as they get bored. The food was ok but not great and certainly didn’t warrant the prices charged. The toilets were disgusting, a very strong smell of wee in both the male and female toilets. There were used paper towels all over the floor as the bins were overflowing and they certainly weren’t clean. The bill was £160 which I begrudged paying as it definitely wasn’t worth it. I’ve tried it but I won’t be returning.

We were recommended Dylan’s by friends, so we were really looking forward to our visit. From start to finish it was a shambles, we ordered six starters four were nice, but the scallop dishes at £11.95 were over priced they were clearly not fresh and tasted rubbery which happens when over cooked. The managers attitude was poor he did only charge for one of them but was not interested in our opinion cutting us short. We then had a long wait for our mains which resulted in a badly made pizza and an inedible linguine. We found out the chef was off and they were short staffed.

We have visited Dylan’s at Llandudno numerous times for a meal and have always been very pleased with service, variety of menu and quality of food. However, on a bright Saturday mid-afternoon my husbamd and I, along with a couple of friend entered asking it ot was ok to have just a drink. The place was empty, apart from one table. We were politely advised that no food was available but this was fine as we only wanted to share a bottle of wine. Although the place was TOTALLY empty apart from one table we were told there was no table available for us to have our drink (at 3.30p.m.) apart from a couple of unsociable benches where it would have been impossible to have a conversation!! Had the retaurant been almost full, or had it been approaching dinner service I would have totally understood, but there were umpteen empty available tables and it was only 3.30p.m.Come on Dylan’s!!!! I am a frequent visitor of all three of your restaurants and this was a pathetic and dredafully poor example of customer service. I know you can do much better!

On arrival we found out that whoever had reserved our table had not read that my wife was in a wheelchair and we needed an accessible table. However the gentleman that greeted us went out of his way to get us the right table for us and seat us. Considering we were slightly early as well they went above and beyond. The starters dough balls for my wife and Seared Scallops for mewere divine. I had the seafood linguine and it was amazing. My wife had the Margherita pizza and the crust was so thin and cooked perfectly. The staff couldn’t do enough for us but didn’t harass us like some restaurants. Our second visit to a Dylan’s and we will be back!

I had never been to any Dylan’s restaurants but everyone seems to rave about them. Visited Llandudno restaurant Feb half term, the vegan tacos were awful (I was hoping they were going to be as good as the ones in Catch22 in Valley), the vegan pizza was hardly edible with very odd tasting oily onions on it. Extra portion of fries was smaller than what you get in a kids happy meal. So disappointing. Staff were lovely though and can’t fault the service.

We visited Dylan’s as a party of six before an event at the Cymru Centre - it’s handily placed < 5 minute walk away. We were running slightly late due to cab but no problem for Dylan’s. We were well catered - starters were delicious & tasty & the mains were good portions & freshly cooked - recommend the Korean Chicken burger! The menu here is varied so caters for all tastes & ages with a good range of classics & sides - anyone in your party could have options! Staff were efficient, prompt without rushing & helpful! Wouldn’t hesitate to visit again & try out their other restaurants!

I’d visited Dylan’s a number of times pre-pandemic, but this was my first booking ‘after Covid’. North Wales hospitality has taken a terrible hit during the pandemic with many businesses not able to survives d list forever. Restaurants post-pandemic have found themselves struggling for staff and customers - an industry that always operated right on the edge of profitability in many cases fell off the cliff. So when I arrived at Dylan’s - a place I’ve always enjoyed eating - on a mizzly dank day I was apprehensive. As a solo diner you sometimes feel uncomfortable, but I was made immediately welcome. I ordered a bottle of Chardonnay which was nicely chilled though overpriced. Now to the food - the calamari starter was pleasant enough but was the only slightly underwhelming part of the meal. It was fine though. The main, however, was remarkable. Twin fillets of sea bass on a spiced sauce with romanesco cauliflower, butternut squash (bland) and curried mixed granola. This was a mildly spicy delight and the fish was brilliantly cooked and tasted fresh. I ordered a side of roasted new potatoes that were also superb. For dessert I had some delightful churros and a very strong old fashioned. Front of house seemed to be just two people. Yet despite the restaurant being fairly busy they were attentive. This was not an experience I was expecting, I thought standards may have fluctuated amid the storm of Covid but was pleased to find a comment to quality and service. Pay it a visit.

The food has always been ok - never had to complain - but nothing great. Shame I've never got to have a decent pint of ale yet as there always seems to be one problem or another (might just be a bit of bad luck though). Nonetheless, a nice place to visit and will return.

We come to Llandudno quite often, and when we do, Dylan's is our go to place to eat. Always been good service, good food and a nice atmosphere. However, a valentines meal disaster is all I can call it. I unfortunately forgot my ID and the waiter wouldn't serve me.. fair enough. My partner continued drinking, starters were great. We ordered the tomahawk steak, for £60, without hesitation as we had no issues previously regarding food. It's safe to say it was the worst steak I have ever eaten, dry, more fat than meat, we asked for medium rare and it was medium well at best. The peppercorn sauce was a Packet mix. We were clearly unimpressed by the food and left a large portion of it. The waiter didn't even ask if the food was okay! I then had one sip of my partners cocktail, and the waiter bounced over and swiped the drink off the table, said his colleague had seen me drink it. Again, fair enough. Was rude but I didn't complain, until we got the bill. The drink was full, and they charged us for it! Baring in mind we had travelled 100 miles and were looking forward to the meal. It was a total let down and I will not be returning.

We had a lovely meal at Dylan's recently. There were 11 of us so it was a big order. The staff, Sean and Zarrane, were so helpful. The food was delicious - my daughter is still talking about how nice her burger was! My nephew has a dairy allergy and they were very patient answering all our questions about what was suitable for him to eat and suggested how they could adapt menu choices for him. We were there to celebrate my parents' Golden Wedding Anniversary and two birthdays so they very kindly decorated my dad's dessert plate with a Happy Anniversary message and they helped me present a birthday cake I had brought with me. We will definitely be back next time we are visiting the area! Thanks to all the Dylan's team for a lovely meal and all their help with everything.

One thin slice of tomato and half a lettuce leaf. Some mayo and tasteless relish. Bun was very ordinary. A very small pot of red cabbage slaw, nothing special. And to top it off its served on a plank of wood. What's wrong with a plate? All of this with a still water cost just over £16.

We were watching the snooker in Venue Cymru, a couple of blocks away and had a table booked in the excellent Tops Chinese restaurant round the corner but had an hour to spare so we decided to go to Dylan's for a drink. We wandered in unchallenged through an open doorway and walked up to the deserted bar where the barman very pleasantly explained that he could not serve us as we had not been checked in and escorted to a table. We told him we only wanted drinks i.e. we wouldn't need to order food so didn't need a waitress or a table but that made no difference. So we walked back out through the doorway and entered again through an adjacent doorway into the same room and stopped at the reception desk. We could see that there were only about 6 or 7 people in the restaurant. After a while the receptionist came up and we told her we just wanted a drink. Very pleasantly she told us that it was company policy not to allow any 'drinks only' customers in until the restaurant was full of diners, and refused to allow us in.What absolute nonsense! What a bunch of stupid jobsworth idiots! What possible reason could there be for such a stupid policy? I guess the answer will be 'Covid' but if they think that it's better to allow drinkers to walk through a crowded restaurant rather than an empty one then they need to find a job they actually can do.

We dined there last night, a wonderful warm welcome. The choices are excellent and I decided on the sea bass and my husband the seafood chowder. He practically needed a life belt the dish was so big and it was delicious. I never eat the skin on fish but this was the exception, everything on the plate was delicious and the curry flavour didn't overpower the dish. Service was excellent, our starters appeared quickly and my husband's disappeared just at quick crab and lime atachini I had the garlic bread which filled the plate , after two alices I was full so it was boxed up for later. I have reviewed Dylans before and will not go into detail about the setting, other than to say that the chairs had intersting and effective cusions, making them much more comfortable. Our FOOD - scallop thermidor. I wondered if the scllop would stand up to the powerful sauce .They did. well cooked scallops served in a shell with interesting tastes and texturesHallibut- The large helping of the fish was perfectly cooked, If I am to quibble not all of the accompanyment workd well. The braised lettuce complimented the fish in taste and texture. The almost raw spiced cauliflower contrasted ditractingly. If it had been served in thin slices ,would it have gone better. A lot of different thins on the plate, but wonderful fish. Bara brith bread and butter pudding, lovely rich custard in the well cooked pudding, the bara noyt adding much but was much enjoyed.Service was informed and attentive, but the fairly log gaps between courses made me grateful for the good company in which I dined.Unfortunately I do not have the opportunity of regular visits. When I return I will go for the good choice of the regulars on the menu.

4 covers on a windswept December evening. How I wished we’d stayed home insteadThe restaurant itself is a comfortable room with one wall taken up with a cocktail bar. The dining tables are comfy and well-spaced.Pre-dinner drinks were ordered. Nothing complicated here, a wine, two beers and a soft drink, for the nominated driver. After nearly 15 minutes of waiting patiently I could see that even the young chap who took our order was becoming embarrassed. He jumped behind the bar and poured our drinks himself. The food order was taken, four starters and four mainsOn the whole the starters were good and of generous portions, although the ‘special’ Whitebait did seem over-salty.The mains arrived:- Lamb Hot Pot. No complaints there- Crusted Hake. Lukewarm fish although the chips were piping - Steak. Same criticism as the Hake, lukewarm- Seafood Linguini. Again lukewarm and dry, no sauce to speak of save for some obscure dregs at the bottom of the dish. A good number of mussels in the shell ✔️The other constituents were a few shrimps and what I assume be salmon which had collapsed into minute pieces. The linguini was well-overcooked. Very averageGiven lukewarm properties of all the mains and the over-cooking of the linguini, we could only assume that they had been sat on the pass awaiting the piping hot chipsIn all, four starters, four mains and drinks £160, a bit overpriced Go again? No thanks

We had the pork and hake as the mains options as well as great vegetarian/vegan options which weren't run of the mill providing our veggie guests with a choice- the seitan Katsu curry was lush. The trio of desserts was fabulous. Dylan's were very accommodating of some of our guests dietary requirements. We love the quirky decor, especially the large topographical map and Welsh blanket lamp shades, and had use of the top floor. The cocktail bar was ideal for welcome drinks after we held the ceremony in the large room. The canapes were delicious. The day went very smoothly and felt relaxed. Dylan's were accommodating with us setting up the day before and putting together our wedding cake of cheese. Craig and Bethany were super friendly and helpful before and during. We went to the place because it was quite popular on tripvisor. My mum ordered the lamb hotpot and apparently it's tasteless so she had to add a lot of salt to make taste better. My dad and I both ordered the Dylan's chicken in a basket, we couldn't really tell what's the special of this because it actually taste like fried chicken stripes. But skinny chips are nice and salty. The mussel we've ordered is not that good because it has so much sand in them so we barely touched them. The staff is lovely but it's not worth the wait because we waited nearly an hour to have order food and waited another 40 mins to have our bills. My parents and I don't recommend the place and we only leave this review with two stars only because the staff are lovely.

Tonight I witnessed what is possibly the worst customer service and staff attitude ever in my life. Myself and 3 friends walked in to Dylan's at about 9.30pm for some post theatre drinks whilst waiting for our lift home. We explained that we only wanted a couple of cocktails but were immediately met with resistance from the gentleman at the bar (but that's the last time I'll describe him as a gentleman). Initially he refused to serve us but we pointed out that it was only 9.30pm and only wanted drinks and no food. He eventually agreed to serve us. He made it quite clear that he was doing us a big favour and was frosty at best from here onwards. We ordered 2 cocktails each to make it easier and quicker for him. He bought one round to the table first and then before we had finished these bought the 2nd round over. At this point he informed us in no uncertain terms that we had 15 minutes to finish the whole lot or he would come back and take whatever we hadn't drunk back. I looked back at him in disbelief as I thought he was joking, but alas not. He said "no, I will come back and take from you!" He then walked off. Our lift came just before 10.15pm and asked where the 4 ladies were sat. Gareth told him that we were sat in the corner and he was just about to go and take our drinks from us. We are all sensible professional ladies and none of us are heavy drinkers. At this point 2 of us still had about half of one cocktail left each. All of us had tried to down the drinks quicker than we normally would. Remember, we were only give the short deadline after the 2nd drinks were served. We pointed out to Gareth that we were really disappointed in his attitude despite having paid around £60 for 8 drinks. We mentioned that we may contact his employers, he whispered under his breath that he "shouldn't have bloody let you lot in in the first place"! We are local people who have to be honest, never really had a good experience at Dylans Llandudno, but were willing to give it a 2nd chance. It will not be getting a third chance! We have been to Dylans in Menia Bridge on several occasions and always been impressed by the service and hospitality every time. Shame the same can not be said about LLandudno.

Really disappointed with our visit to Dylans. We had several outstanding meals before but definitely not this time. Im not sure if the Chef has changed or there is a staff shortage but there is definitely something not right.Poor quality of food and overpriced Shame we use to love coming here

A pub atmospere, some musac, fortunately not too loud. GOOD-the food.NOT SO GOOD- the bum-achingly uncomfortable bentwood chairs. To eat- Starters,Crab and lime aranchini-superb crisp coating tasting of crab modified by llime. served with a fruit chutney and fried onions and pepper. All worked well together.Garlic bread, but as a light pizza with garlic topping, again superb, but order smallest possible unless you are very hungry.Mains HERB CRUSTED HAKE FILLET. A simple well thought out and perfectly cooked dish;crusting lightly browned, served on four roasted new potatoes and creamed leeks. This is what really good fish cookery is about.Lamb duo was good but not to the same standard. \The braised shoulder was all it should be, but the crisp/dry beast did little to help. Tassty cous cous, but a lack of sauce or citrus to bring it all together. puddings -both large, a chocolatee brownie and four welsh cheeses. Helpings of the chees were generous, laid out in a sensible order of soft, smoked, blue and herbed, with buicuit chutney and micro picalli.SO WHY ONLY 4 STARS? The service was usually attentive and agreeable, but slow. Main course was served 1 hour after arrival. A bar order took 15 minutes to arrive. The barman seemed more iterested in arranging his stock than serving. None of this was too bad, but combined with growing aches from the seating the delays increased pain more than pleasure. THE SEATS LOOK NICE BUT WERE UNPLEASANT, PAINFUL, BEYOND AN HOUR

We visited Dylan's in Menai Bridge on June and found it fantastic, so when we visited Llandudno for the day at the end of the summer we had to give dylan's here a try too.The building it beautify and it is laid out well to take advantage of this, we sat inside but I notice there was a large outdoor space too. It was a late lunch booking so was busy when we arrived but slowed down during our meal. The staff were attentive throughout. We had the same starters as last time (whitebait and calamari) then a curry and seabass (I think) for mains. We had sticky toffee pudding and brownie for dessert. My partner was pleased to see Aspalls cider on tap which is unusual. The food and drinks were great, and I even remembered to pick up some bbq sauce from the shop. One of the staff talked me though some of the other sauces and I got some sweet chilli on his recommendation, which on getting it home was very tasty. Another great trip to Dylan's, next time we will try the Criccieth branch!

I tried Dylan’s after wanting to go for some time, the safe where amazing and the inside was well fitted. I found the drinks a little pricey but ok. I had the chicken in a basket and was disappointed, to me it’s called chicken in a basket because you get a bit of every part of the chicken. This was more like chips in a basket, you got 4 small bits of what I’m guessing was chicken tenders with loads of fries. The chick part was what you would expect to get on a child’s portion and just made it come across as cheep and penny pitching. I can say what was there was nice, I just felt a little ripped off. It was the worst attempt at chick in a basket iv seen to date.

Food was rushed, cold and undercooked - had to be sent back and some of it was inedible. The waiter (who was friendly) explained that the replacement food would be 4mins!?!? Yep suggests microwave ready… nice. By way of an apology for the bad experience, we were offered a cup of chips! Who thinks that makes a difference?!? One of the mains was taken off the bill, all in all a bad experience.

Really disappointed with pre-theatre booking last night: staff friendly, food OK but pricey for what it is. Unfortunately, rudely told off by Gareth for not waiting my turn 20 mins after coffee failed to arrive. I didn’t deserve that. Five mins later told the coffee would not be coming, was that a punishment? Was ‘generously’ removed from bill!! Left a good tip because everybody can have an off moment but unlikely to return in a hurry ☹️☹️☹️

Surprised how big the place was, very nice inside, food was very good and the service was good, only down point as far as i was concerned was the drinks side, wanted Bacardi, no problem but could not get a diet coke in can or bottle, being diabetic cannot have the pump version, which is all they had, Vodka again ok but did not have red bull so ended up having a cocktail which was ok.

Absolutely stunning building, modern and cosy decor and all of the food we had was tasty, fresh and good value for the money. Great drinks choice too and our server was up front and honest about all the dishes (e.g. explaining the mussels were not the usual order and may be more gritty) and very friendly.

Terrible food and atmosphere. The food is obviously taken out of the freezer and reheated - they couldn't even do that well. Most things were overcooked, the doughballs were nothing more than bread roll bullets. The photos of the main restaurant look lovely but we were plonked in a dark back corner, despite tables being available in the advertised bright smart looking area. The staff didn't even show any interest in being there. Don't order, dough balls, Caesar salad, chicken burger or pizza. To top it all off the prices are high, I wouldn't mind if the food lived up to it - we wont be going here again.

I found this a disappointing experience. I had been recommended Dylan’s at Menai bridge and people rave about it but as it was too far to travel from our accommodation I booked Llandudno. Our Dough ball starters were dreadful and the portion of scallops were very small. The seafood pasta was not much better Probably because of COVID the restaurant was not busy so no excuse for being rushed , a poor experience.

Such a lovely environment......lovely restaurant area in a lovely old building with lovely views across Llandudno Bay.However, the food is very basic, presented with no flare, and over priced. My Caesar Salad was presented on a whole Roumaine Lettuce (not trimmed in any way!), sprinkled with small cubed chicken (not a lot of jt) some croutons which weren't at their freshest, a small covering of very finely grated cheese and a very small pot of Caesar dressing......the bacon was like leather!! £11.95 !! Sorry Dylans......your Chef needs replacing..... try and find another that has more experience and a little more idea on the presentation of your overly priced food

Dated environment. The food is basically cooked from frozen and not as described and 3 out of 4 main courses were sent back. The Duo of Lamb is consists of reconstituted medallions and so disappointing. You staff learning and refunds given but they need help. They even brought and left a bottle of wine with the cork still in situ.

Had a lovely meal today, lamb was great. Husband’s hake got a good reception too. One child had an adult’s pizza and we brought half of it home, other two had linguini… all popular. Garlic bread superb as it is across Dylans venues. More than that, wanted to say the staff were superb. It’s difficult right now, with them wearing masks all day and no doubt facing some difficult customers, but the two ladies who served us were warm, friendly and on top of the service. My only negative comment, and truly this wouldn’t stop us returning, was that it was a little dark where we were sat. I appreciate it’s an old building and the transformation has been done well, but perhaps on next refurb the lighting should be looked at.

Let's start with food. Shared starters between two couples - breads, Olives and AMAZING mussels - great start. Mains - beautiful Hake dish, an OK burger and an OK seafood linguine. Fourth dish was a pizza that was just not edible - dominated by truffle oil and lacking in the promised goats cheese (almost invisible). They did take the price off the bill. Disappointed that the restaurant wasn't open as it is the most impressive reason for visiting (only the downstairs bar/restaurant available). Also, got sat in a very dark corner near the toilets to start with but was moved on request. The wine we chose wasn't available but it took well over 15 mins to be told this to enable us to order another one. Not so welcoming on arrival but our waitress was friendly and polite. Overall we would try another Dylan's but would probably not visit this one again. It didn't deliver on what it portrays on the website or its reputation.

I have rated 3 as we left before ordering. Not fair to rate 1 as staff excellent and did not eat.....but I have to rate it and give my opinion as I anticipated the same quality venue as Criccieth.... wrong. This was a Wetherspoons....nothing wrong with that if that’s what you want.....but Criccieth it is not. It was heart warming to see staff helping a drunk to a free cup of ice on arrival. In our view not what we wanted. Not Criccieth but a Wetherspoons style vibe. Staff excellent.....very friendly....just not the venue anticipated. No problem....went somewhere else. Our opinion. Try it. You may disagree.

We are a family of six, and had booked a table at the Llandudno restaurant to start our holiday, given our very positive experiences at the Menai Straits restaurant. Immediately behind our table were placed a group of six men. They were very loud and clearly were oblivious to the impact of their boorish behaviour on us and other diners. When we ordered our drinks, we asked politely if we could be discreetly moved away from our table. We were told this wasn’t possible, as the reconfiguration of the tables could impact on available customer tables. Unfortunately the enjoyment of what was a very nice meal was spoiled by the noise from these men. No one made the customary check to see if we were happy with our meal, and no one said goodbye to us as we walked out(having spent over £140 on food and drinks) Overall we didn’t feel our main waiter was as attentive to our needs as he could have been. This experience was totally different to the welcome and warmth that we have received on our annual visits to the Menai restaurant and as a result will we will not returning to the Llandudno restaurant. Everything started well! The building and decor are gorgeous and we were welcomed warmly. A male manager came to take our drinks and food order and was friendly enough. The food was VERY slow in arriving and my friend, who had ordered the scallops as a main, received a starter portion and was told that, that was how it was! The food itself was good, but the service did a big U turn. We had various young waiters/waitresses, who whilst pleasant, were somewhat dippy! We were presented with a half filled jug each of chocolate sauce with our churros ( the next table had full ones!), and in the end I had to find a waiter to ask for dessert cutlery. The final bill for 4 came to £176, which I accept, but for that price, I need a MUCH more efficient service!! Such a pity, as has the potential to be so good, but I shan’t be rushing back.

Disappointed with the poor choice of gluten free options. Starter choice of olives or garlic bread made with sliced bread. Mains I could have a burger but only with sliced bread! Pizza has gf option for an extra £1.80 for the gf base! I went with the Thai green curry and added a piece of grilled chicken. Desserts also nothing gf so we left after just having main course and a drink. The restaurant was quiet and the service was slow. Only two of us eating but the meals didn’t arrive together. Bar service was garbage. Whilst waiting for barrel to be changed I was looking at the menu. When drink was brought over girl sloshed a load over menu I was reading and then over the table , she never said a word or even cleaned up, just looked at us and walked off. The beer itself was flat and nothing like it should of tasted like. Good knows why but we still ordered food. Pizza was ok. Jacket potato’s ok but burger was tasteless full of gristle and grease. Horrible.
