Wonderfully thought out food, a unique take away experience, one where you feel good the next morning. Friendly service, ethical policies, great creativity with lovely ingredients.

What a hidden gem - if you like fish it is a must visit spot! Staff lovely and friendly, could not do enough. Food five star taste, quality and portion size generous. Good value, lovely views. Clean and tidy and right next to the car park! Tables inside and out. Would highly recommend.

We have just dined here. The reception was very good and friendly. I like the ambiance here, it tells me that they are confident about their product and it turns out that confidence was not misplaced. We were taken upstairs to the restaurant. It was like being a member of an exclusive club. Another friendly greeting from the restaurant staff and an introduction to an absurdly simple menu. A choice of 3 starters and main courses. When have you seen that before ? This is so refreshingly different. It promised me that they know what they are doing and it came good on that promise. My starter of “sardines on toast” was superb. A game changer. Very very good. There was fennel and lemon and sardine in perfect harmony. This is the best food I have tasted in years ! Next was steak and chips with an endive salad and a sauce vert that was a good complement to the steak. The chips were perfect and a nice amount of pepper on the steak. It’s so simple and so good. Next was a tart tatin and a good custard as a pudding. You could travel all over the world and not eat better than this. Cardigan should be as proud of this as it should be of other notable eateries that have opened up in the town. This restaurant is another example of how Cardigan is going to end up as a quality destination.

Picked up a couple of delicious cakes here as we were passing by, some sort of brownie with a biscuit on top, it was the gooiest sweetest treat I’ve had in ages. A small observation, no prices/descriptions in the window, whilst we stood and chose our treat a couple of potential customers walked away commenting the cakes would probably be too expensive, many of the younger generation don’t like to ask. Your prices are amazing for the quality by the way.

Incredible experience from start to finish. There are meals out and then there’s Yr Hen Printworks… a whole different level. The building is stunning, beautifully renovated inside and out. The standard of the food lives up to its Michelin reputation, every plate was exceptional, even ones we would not normally go for. Flavours, presentation, everything was spot on. Cocktails were brilliant too. This place is about the experience and it delivers on every level. Anyone leaving a lower review might not quite get what it is aiming for. Absolutely faultless.

The food is absolutely amazing, so fresh, sl tasty and such a treat to have. The butternut squash pizza is phenomenal and tasted so fresh. We also loved the pain au chocolate, the almond croissant, the almond and pistachio croissant and the olive focaccia. The staff are so friendly, polite and welcoming, absolutely lovely people. I'd highly recommend this to anyone.

Excellent little venue with live bands and open mic nights

We went here whilst visiting Cardigan from the south coast of England and we loved it! The food was amazing, came out super quick and the portions were great. Our waitress Jane was really lovely whilst serving us. We really enjoyed meeting and talking to Jane, Katie and Gary after we had eaten as well! Such a lovely experience and a great glimpse into the lovely community of the town. We hope to be back! 😊

A nice homely cafe, with a nice atmosphere and a traditional food menu at good prices. The staff are friendly and helpful. A very community minded cafe and even a pensioner menu day on Thursdays. Worth a visit, situated at the top of Quay Street.

Went for breakfast this morning only to be told that there were no tables available. However, the cafe was only half full and non of the tables were reserved. When I went past 20 minutes later the tables were still empty.

The best baguettes with the best banter. Thanks Sharon and Gary for keeping us well fed and for all the laughs!

Good old fashioned cafe. Traditional breakfast, well priced. Pleasant service (lovely that she had a sausage for the dog!). A bit dated but I enjoyed my breakfast.

I found the pizza expensive and of an average quality. The beer was expensive too. Capitalism is rife unfortunately.

Great night out ! The atmosphere and views were so cozy. Riverside tables are nice on a warm day and tipi when it’s colder. The pizza was delicious, totally worth the money ! So were the potato poppers!!! Really nice place and staff were friendly.
