Delicious pizza served by very friendly staff. It was lovely to sit out by the water in the little booths with a heater overhead. I’d highly recommend 😁

Excellent eatery-funky booths or sit around the fire. We had a two year old and could sit in a self contained booth with a heater and great view of the river. Amazing pizza- I had a mushroom special which had lashings of garlic and leeks and was probably the best I've had in a long time! Really friendly staff, we will be back! ❤️🍕🍕🍕

Having been here many many times over a number of years, we were shocked by the place on our last visit in March. Everywhere is now boxed in and, even though we were on the side of the river, we couldn't see it. Sadly, it has been utterly ruined in our opinion. The pizza was not of the same quality, either. One of our party said that they wouldn't be back and I'm not sure if we will, either.

We last visited here 6 years ago and what a transformation since then! We loved it back then but now it’s even better. Great pizzas, potato puffs and salad. Shame there was no cloud bread for us but the garlic focaccia was epic as ever. I’d recommend the seaweed gin as well as the gin made especially for Pizzatipi. We will be back when we are next exploring this area of Wales.

I do love this place usually, I know Saturday is a busy time... Family of 6, we ordered starters, drinks and pizza.. It took more than 45 mins for our pizzas to arrive, when I went outside to vape I was told off, I was being respectful about it too! I saw no clear signage and assumed as alcohol is served I could vape outside! I did then mention I've been waiting quite a long time. I could of whacked out a whole lot of pizza's in a pizza oven within 45 mins at a 3 min bake time. Funnily enough the logs weren't completely seasoned which produced alot of smoke in the (enclosed) tipi. I don't recall it ever being this slow, but the food was good when it came. Just not a great experience this time.

What an incredible place, my wife and I went on a wet and drizzly night but it did nothing to dampen the experience here. The cosy Tipi was great, sitting by the fire you couldn't tell the weather was typically Welsh outside and still had a buzzing but not too loud atmosphere great for adults and kids alike, even pets too. Even though it was absolutely packed the people that worked there were always helpful and very kind, great people to be around. Very impressive considering how busy it was. Can only imagine how great this place is on a sunny day when it's this good on a cold February night. And then of course there's the food. Authentic pizzas you can't get enough of, we also had the potato cakes for bits and bobs to begin and can't say enough great things about it all. My new favourite place to eat, can't wait to come back with my 2 children and maybe even the dog if she ever decides to calm down enough to come to these places. 5 stars is not enough. Thank you guys

Great location and the teepee in a courtyard makes for a great atmosphere. They advised a wait time of 40 mins for us, which was pretty much correct. I took a star off the service because while you order the pizza through the QR code, you have to go and queue at the bar separately for your drinks, which was quite slow at peak dinner time, and a little bit annoying. The stand out food item was the fried potato cakes. Absolutely terrific; I would go back just to have those again. The Greek salad was nice, but quite heavy on the salad leaves. The pizzas tasted really good but had quite a wide, hard crust. Perhaps this is authentic, but we ended up with most of these crusts uneaten, which feels like a bit of a waste.

The staff were super friendly particularly the bar man who gave us advice on drinks (go for the CWRW Fforest it was delicious). We chose to eat fire side in the tipi and it was such a gorgeous cosy space. The pizzas arrived within 15 mins and they were delicious. We also had the potato cakes with the aioli and sriracha mayo and they were pretty special. Overall it was the perfect way to spend a lazy afternoon. We will be back!

We’ve visited Pizzatipi on numerous occasions in the past and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Unfortunately, our latest visit was one to forget and it appears that we’re not alone. Recent reviews highlight the long wait for food, poor to no communication regarding the delay, doughy pizzas that appear to have been rushed and a decline in the overall customer experience. We waited 55 minutes for two pizzas, despite the chalk board at the reception desk quoting a waiting time of 20 minutes. The staff themselves are all polite, however, leadership and direction seems to be lacking from senior staff/management. As customers, we understand that issues arise and delays are a fact of life. However, it’s the lack of communication regarding this that is particularly frustrating. A quick visit to the table to explain that there was going to be a delay would have gone a long way. It is sad to see what was a fantastic restaurant seemingly becoming complacent in their success, ultimately, at the expense of the customer and overall experience.

We have been here many times before over 4 or 5 years and always enjoyed the experience but this time was really disappointing so much so we will not be returning. We arrived and we were sat in a riverside booth and went to place our order which just kept crashing so we went to reception and they placed the order so no problem our starters came out 15 mins later so good timing and were delicious this then is where the eve went downhill we waited and waited for our pizzas after an hour we asked the person in charge how much longer and she said oh sorry I was just coming to you your order got lost which seemed odd since we had had our starters can I take the order again she asked so I asked how long it would take as we were slightly over it and she said 5/10 mins tops after 20 mins we went to reception and said we had had enough and could she refund our pizza money and she said no as the system was down but they were still taking orders and payments so didn’t seem very truthful and she got very chippy with us the pizzas arrived a few minutes later under cooked as they had obviously been rushed. I totally get that problems happen and that’s ok if you deal with it well and sadly the customer service was truly lacking and we were treated so poorly we would not go back which is a shame as we will soon be full time residents of Cardigan

Well, wishing I had read more of the negative comments before going! Not worth the visit and the experience ruined the last night of our holiday. The food itself was ok once we finally got it, but the place is very poorly run. 1st stood for 10mins at the check in desk waiting for someone to seat us, staff walking past and avoiding eye contact. Then once sat down did as was told and ordered food through the app immediately and then went to bar to get drinks. 40 mins went by and it was clear there was a problem - overheard other customers saying the app for food ordering had gone down so they had no idea who had ordered what…then chaos ensued. No organisation or logical thought, the staff went into panic mode. Began taking orders from 2 large groups and one of these had just arrived and not yet even ordered, completely ignoring us and another couple who had been waiting over 40mins and had paid for our food already!!! When this was pointed out to staff they were rude and indifferent (one lovely young waitress tried to help but her colleagues were not helpful). They said they had no idea who arrived when so needed to take everyone’s orders - but never came back to get everyone elses! As these large orders were already in progress we then got left to wait longer. Staff never approached us to apologise/explain, in fact actively avoided us. After waiting an 1hr and 15mins we approached staff again and expressed we felt we were being ignored - others who arrived after us were now finished their meals and we still had no food. The lady who we spoke with was very condescending. She had given others free drinks/food, whilst completely ignoring us. It appeared all the larger groups were given priority/preferential treatment. Eventually, and only as we had got quite cross at this point, one of the owners came over and expressed we would get a full refund but this has still not happened. I sincerely hope the debrief he said would happen for the staff has, and that they have a plan for what to do should this happen again. Completely understand the app going down is no one’s fault, and we expressed this at the time but this whole scenario could have been much better managed, not one person took responsibility for it or dealt with it professionally, and there was no communication from staff. I would not be recommending this place to anyone. There are plenty of other places that do a decent pizza - the experience is not worth it. It was a waste of a 40min journey and ruined the last night of the holiday.

The Olives were terrible. Barely edible. We heard a table behind us complain about them and instead of apologising the manager became very condescending and dismissive to the mans request. The manager seemed to accuse the man of lying by attempting to contradict his claims by saying "Actually, they came fresh this morning". Very insulting. I was very disappointed, incredibly rude manager. Also, it is very annoying you have to order drinks at the bar in person but food through the app. This caused a major issue as the bar was wholly understaffed on the night we dined here. I was left for over twenty minutes waiting for the two people behind the bar to get their act together while a queue of customers gathered behind me. By the time I got back to my table my food was already ten minutes cold. Pizzas were very nice though.

Had a disappointing experience at pizza tipi today. Called to book a table and was told they had no table for our group size (12) but that we could still turn up and use the outside seating and bar and still get pizza. When we got there we were told they couldn't serve us pizza or do takeaway so we left hungry. It was frustrating to see many free tables but no attempt to seat us. Have been a customer for years and the new booking system and rules around the length of time you're allowed to have your table, if you manage to get one, has really taken a lot away from what for me was a relaxed and friendly local bar and pizza place.

We have been to pizza tipi three times over 3 years so have seen this place improve massively. The atmosphere has always been brilliant and there were much more seating arrangements than expected. They have a wait time when you enter the restaurant in order to inform you how long the food will take. Food came quick which was impressive as we were a table of seven. We would highly recommend the potato cakes as a starter as they tasted amazing (very similar to hash browns). The garlic focaccia had unfortunately sold out so we were unable to taste that dish however I have heard that it is highly rated. The only thing which was different this time was the pizzas (compared to a year ago). In my opinion, the pizzas had too much cheese but by no means did it ruin the experience. We would love to see other sides on the menu in the future e.g chips / fries and maybe some more pizza toppings (e.g peppers).

We had already booked to return one evening ( you have to book on line and leave a credit card and you get charged £20 for a no show ) and we chose to sit around the fire inside the tepi this time. You do tend to get a few smuts on you if you sit here but it is warm. There are lots of different areas to sit in depending on group size and what you fancy. There were a lot of children here when we went during the day time but they were not here at night. Only pizza is served but they are delicious and slightly different and a good size. We ate one each but a lot of people were given a cardboard box to take the remains away. You can order by QR code at the table but I could not get it to check out ( signal ) so ended up at the bar in a queue. Good atmostphere and great friendly staff.

We wanted to love this place, and the pizzas were tasty and the waiting staff friendly. But it seems like it’s got too big & the systems don’t work. It’s kind of like a takeaway experience with tables. You order food online which is difficult with no phone signal or WiFi & we waited 40 mins for food despite needing to book a time slot. Then you order drinks at the bar (big queue and long wait). It’s really annoying not be sitting with the people you came with or leaving your food to go cold to stand and wait at a bar for 15 mins. After being seated we were left to our own devices - no-one checked on us and when we wanted to order extra dips we had to find a waiter who told us to order online - which arrived well after everyone had finished eating. Overall a frustrating experience.

We visited Pizza Tippi whilst we were on holiday in Fishguard. We are a family of 5 and we booked this place to make sure that we got a table as the website indicated that it would be best. We got there a bit early and the gentleman at the front desk shows us to our table. We were seated and got an explanation as to what we would have to do to order food and drinks. The ambience and overall surroundings are lovely and create for a cosy and relaxing place. We ordered our food and picked up our drinks at the bar. Now sadly come some negative points. We waited for ages to get our food and when I say ages I mean over an hour which wiht three kids is a challenge and we weren’t the only ones to wait that long. I am Gluten Intolerant and was extremely disappointed by Pizza Tippi’s Gluten Free Pizza size as it was small. I am a grown man and this was nothing more than a starters rather than a main course and sadly the Gluten Free Base was not that good either. I have visited a few pizza places and their Gluten free bases have not only been bigger but also a lot tastier. So I would sum it up as great place but if you are suffering from allergies or food intolerances then you probably should give the place a miss or plan to get some other food somewhere else as you will not be full that’s for sure. In an ideal world I would rate it a 3.5 but as this isn’t available I have given it 4 stars

I'll sum up the below for people who don't want to read the full thing: 1. Go later in the evening if you don't want your experience ruined by kids running around and playing. 2. Just have the pizzas, they are delicious but the dips and desserts are an absolute rip off! 3. Don't go in the Tipi in summer as it's boiling. 4. The staff are great and happy to help! 5. The venue is stunning! 6. Be prepared for a faff to order your food and drinks as there's no table service Visited 14/08/23 with my Mum and Step Dad after a walk in the local area. The venue itself is stunning, the wooden decor and being on the river is very pretty! Originally booked a table in the Tipi which was lovely buy very hot! So we asked to move outside and the staff were very happy to accommodate. Ordering was a bit of a drama I won't lie, couldn't get on their app via the QR code as the phone singal isn't very good and the guest WiFi provided was so slow my phone kept trying to go back to mobile data and wouldn't even let me connect to it. So we eventually ordered at the bar which I would advise you do anyway since you can't order drinks via the app you need to go to the bar for them. The pizzas came after about 35 mins which was a little long but they have a current wait time when you walk in to pre warn you so this didn't bother me to much as the venue was so nice to just sit and enjoy. When the pizzas came they looked stunning and were absolutely delicious however because we ordered via the bar we didn't get to see what sauces and dips were available as these were only listed on the app and not on the physical menus or at the bar. I went to the bar to get a pot of garlic mayo and vegan mayo was then charged £3.60 for these 2 pots of sauces. What an absolute rip off! Once we finished our pizzas we ordered dessert, I had the Brownie which I though was very reasonably priced at £4.20 but then later found out it was £2.50 to add ice cream to it so £6.70 in total! And when it came the portion size was pathetic! My Brownie was about the size of your average slice of Mr kipling. Was gone in 3 bites! Booking the table via the app was very easy however when we got there the front desk was turning people away despite having loads of free tables, a good 8 of which had no occupants for the 1hr 45mins they we where there so not sure what was going on there as it said the place was fully booked 17:15 - 20:00 when we went. I know this is not the fault of the owners or staff but the amount of kids running around uncontrolled in the place was absurd. This was likely the results of parents who didn't care what their kids were doing but one thing Pizzatipi could do to help would be to have a section of the place where kids are not allowed. Kids were throwing stones in the river and running around the place. One even started doing the splits next to our table and then started throwing stones at another lady's bag. Again I will say this isn't the venue's fault but they can do things to help. Another small thing that my step dad in particular was disappointed with was the drinks or lack their off, you can get your standard soft drinks but the beer and larger was very limited and only local craft kind of stuff available. We are all for new business and supporting the local ones so by all means have a few local crafts on the menu but please get some of the mainstream ones in as well like madri or bud. There's a reason they are so popular! I would happily give this place another go but only in a few months time after these issues have been addressed: 1. If you are gonna implement an app based ordering system, please make sure your WiFi infrastructure is good enough for people to order on it. Also make sure the full menu including dips are in the physical menus and put the drinks on the app to. 2. Either up your portion sizes or drop your prices on the desserts as they are currently a rip off! They were nice but the portion sizes are pathetic. 3. Sort the booking system out! There were loads of free tables, despite only being given a small slot!

Not been here for a while and not in a rush to go back. Service was good but nothing more than you would expect. Menu was explained and how to order which is odd as now order on your phone and order and pay for drinks at the bar. Not sure what staff do in a restaurant if you do most of it for them. Burrata said seasonal vegetables but was 6 tomatoes £7 ok but it is just that. Pizza all arrived and considering how many people there they really shouldn't have been sent. I get the Wood fired oven can be difficult to keep clean but bases were caked in charred Ash and 2 burnt on edges see pictures. Larger/Beer is local but I didn't even finish most the pint as felt bloated and gassy. Potato cakes were really nice but again for price fell flat.£ 65 for food and £16 for 2 beers and 2 soft drinks not in a rush to get back

You can either have your own booth or sit in the spacious main tent with a large fire grate as the central feature. Some of the benches had faux animal hides stretched across them, which I guess was meant to add an authentic touch. Unfortunately they moulted worse than our husky although it brushed off the kids a lot easier! Great pizzas and a nice relaxing family atmosphere are the selling points. Navigation of the table service app was a pain and didn't work properly on our visit. One of the staff found it equally troublesome and took the order at the counter instead. That obviously needs to be sorted out but didn't detract from the overall experience. On recommendation we'd driven for an hour to get there only to find that they had run out of our son's favourite topping, pepperoni. Chorizo to the rescue and it was the best pepperoni ever apparently! Would I drive for an hour to go there again? No, because there were plenty of as good if not better pizza restaurants nearer our holiday apartment. However if I was in or around Cardigan then I'd definitely be up for seconds.

I can't comment on the quality of the pizzas because they have not arrived - 60 minutes after we placed our order!!! See attached photo of our table. 25 minutes ago we were told they would arrive in 10. Table 48 Update! After waiting over an hour we received the wrong order. Second update- we eventually received more pizzas than we ordered but not sure the ones we wanted. Pizzas ok but nothing special. Very expensive. By the way, is it a good idea to have a system where customers place orders by phone in a location with no decent phone signal and free WiFi that doesn't work? Also, despite us waiting at our table for an hour no member of staff asked us if everything was ok. The staff we spoke to were pleasant but management need to pull their fingers out

Original place, great pizza and good knowledgeable staff, especially in the bar. It's refreshing to have a bar person who can actually tell you the differences between the beers and lagers they sell.

A bit expensive for what you get (£2.50 for a can of coke) but the Riverside view helped. No kids menu. Enjoyable enough.

Great service from George who accommodated a request for us to be moved to a different table, to be in the wonderful tipi tent with central open fire! Great pizzas but make sure you order starters as the pizzas took well over 45 minutes to arrive. Good job the beer is good too!

So-so to be honest. Pizzas burnt underneath, with the rest of the base and toppings flacid. A problem with the oven we were told... maybe better to not serve substandard food, if you know there's a problem? Not cheap given what we got. Staff seem a bit jaded and insincere. Beer was decent

Been many times before. And it's the locals who keep the place running in the quieter out of season months. Waited 45 minutes for two pizzas which when they turned up were hurriedly made and still doughy in the middle. I enquired with the kitchen at the 35 minute point to which they responded 'we've only had the ticket 30 minutes'. Seriously? Table staff weren't well trained. The toilets were dirty, seat brackets loose and the seat hanging off. The rustic charm still needs to be clean. I was left with the distinct impression that they have become complacent due to their success.

Fantastic location on the banks of the river, with plenty of places to sit. Tipi, Riverside or courtyard each with their own atmosphere. We chose Tipi and wasn't disappointed with the real fire burning all day, benches with fur seats. Food was incredible, pizzas obviously were amazing but the potato cakes are a must try. Can't recommend this place enough if you are visiting Cardigan.

When is a Greek salad not a Greek salad? When you got to pizzatipi!!! When my Greek salad arrived it was full of lettuce and no red onion even though the correct ingredients were written on their menu. I asked the waiter if he could bring me a salad as written in their menu and he apologised and said of course. Soon a stroppy jumped up "assistant manger' came over and said she was happy to change it or refund my money. When she brought it back it was still full of lettuce and when I asked for a refund she basically said I had no idea what a Greek salad was, even though I lived there for 4 years, and that was the way they made the dish even though their own menu version was correct. She was arrogant and ignorant in her job. Definitely wouldn't recommend this place.

As always, Pizzatipi was superb! We absolutely love going to Tipi and even on a busy summer's day the service was quick, friendly and the food was delicious! Our bread was delayed due to a kitchen error but was quickly rectified and refund was offered (we didn't take the refund as we've never had any other issues here after lots of visits!). The beer on tap is always fantastic and the atmosphere is chilled with a great buzz. Our children love running around and it is always a welcoming, family friendly place. Perfect pizza restaurant!
