delicious, super healthy food. got a combo of 3 salads - lentils with roasted carrots, roasted potatoes and third was brussel sprouts with chick peas and a yogurt sauce.
Will definitely return!
Anywhere else, I would be unenthusiastic about Chef Bako, but for touristic Edinburgh it's not at all bad. Situated at the far end of the Royal Mile, near the Museum of Edinburgh, it has a fairly basic menu that includes fish & chips. This was freshly cooked to order, and served with a micro pot of mushy peas, and equally sized one of tartare sauce. They are unlicensed, so I splashed out on a can of Irn Brew. The fish & chips were fine - not a huge portion, and not cheap, but about as good a deal as you can get in this part of the city. There are a few seats along a counter on one side of the shop. I'm amazed how much more expensive it is than Glasgow!
Hidden gem of a place! Korma is outstanding, best I've had in a long time. My hubby had the garlic chilli chicken to try something different, also amazing! The staff are also super friendly and attentive. Will definitely be back!
I have passed here many times but today was the first time I went for a coffee.
Great coffee and cake however very noisy with dancing staff chatting and dragging dance mats through the cafe into the dance studios 😬 it’s ideal for dance mums waiting on their kids but not for a quiet coffee and chat
Staying at this hotel for work. Decided to try the hotel restaurant for dinner, what a delight we was served by the beautiful Laura taylor who catered for our every need, was disappointed we couldn't leave her a tip as a thank you for looking after us.
Am looking forward to the rest of our stay and enjoying more of the menu. Our compliments to the chef who was on duty.

Possibly the best scones I’ve ever had!!
The specials were well worth the diesel , in fact we went back 10 miles on our trip to get some more before we moved on.
Great place, don’t be fooled by the industrial unit frontage.
This place is AMAZING. Their chicken wings are the best I've ever tasted. The staff are so courteous and friendly. Service was fast & efficient and the food was all cooked to perfection. Prices were very reasonable for the quality and quantity. I can really recommend them, and we will definitely be back.
This is a church cafe run by volunteers. It says it is an outreach cafe and an asset to the community - but this is hardly the case when the prices are off putting and more expensive than most cafes run as businesses. A very poor cappuccino cost £3.40 and my baked potato was nearly £8. It is set up in a church hall and the volunteers are pleasant but not exactly efficient (my baked potato was left on an adjacent table until I asked where it was). All the members of our table had their food delivered at different times so some were finished before others had started (we ordered together).
We popped in for breakfast and we are so glad that we did! The owners were so kind, personable and great chat. Very welcoming and were genuinely interested in both of us. We can't fault the food either, and the coffee was the best we've had in recent memory! All for extremely reasonable prices too. Lovely wee place tucked away from the busy city centre, well worth the 10 minute walk to the quay.
Whenever we come back to Aberdeen we shall definitely be coming back to visit :)
First time getting carry out here was not disappointed
Had the honey chicken which was delicious
Also had Hawaiian pizza which was amazing
Staff so friendly will defo go back

I nipped in while at work for a sandwich. Ordered a BLT and added on a soup on a deal. Sandwich was freshly made with crisps and side salad. Soup was a homemade lentil. Staff really friendly and good atmosphere. I would recommend.
