Possibly the best scones I’ve ever had!! The specials were well worth the diesel , in fact we went back 10 miles on our trip to get some more before we moved on. Great place, don’t be fooled by the industrial unit frontage.

What an amazing bakery! Stop here to get fantastic sandwiches, scones, donuts, cakes, rolls and anything else you might want to eat. A wide variety of artisan breads, and treats. They also do hot and cold drinks, have a lovely seating area outside and many cooking supplies. While it’s out of the way in the industrial estate, it’s well with the trip and a short walk from town (across the Spey and along the woods).

Lovely bakery, a hidden gem in an industrial state. I recommend the sandwiches, doughnuts and tray bakes. However I bet the pastries and bread will be at the same level. Please try a tan slice or a ginger crunch. The coffee is out of this world too. Finally, the staff cannot be more helpful and nice. I will definitely go back on my travels.

I’d have to start that £15.60 for 2 lattes and 2 cakes is expensive in my book. The cakes were delicious and reasonable portions, but coffee was warm/not hot and your options to “sit in” are actually to “sit out” in the car park on an industrial site. If you’re a fan of Selfridges Food Hall and taking away - you won’t be disappointed and the visual feast of all the baking going on in front of your eyes is great. But in my opinion there are better options in Grantown itself.

It was one of my online ESL students from Korea who noticed this bakery during one of our lessons. Even though I live quite close to KJ's, I had never heard of it until then. My partner and I finally paid a visit today. I don't think I can describe just how delicious the food is here. I really wanted something meaty and my Beef and Black Pudding Roll did not disappoint. It was full of meaty goodness encased in a light pastry served warm. My partner had a Pork and Herb roll. He, too, was in awe. Next, I had the lemon curd and apricot jam doughnut. It was jam-packed (pardon the pun) full of lemon curd. I'm pretty sure it was homemade because it was almost like a custard. The doughnut itself was light and fluffy. Amazingly, it was not overly-sweet. The latte was mild and delicious. I hope if my Korean student ever pays a visit to this area, I will happily treat her to some amazing food!

This place is amazing. We had a sausage roll (best one we’ve ever had) and a Cajun chicken sandwich (beautiful). The cakes were also amazing. This place is the best lunch, we will certainly make this our stopping place when driving down the A9. Can’t say enough about how good the food is here!

Great selection of stuff and all homemade on-site. Staff couldn’t be more helpful and will happily talk you through what they have on offer. Really good coffee as well. Good to see local businesses doing so well! Only suggestion would be a patio heater for outside since you can’t always trust the weather up North!

Spied this on google but had to have it added to tripadvisor!! I was that keen to give a review! Lovely bakery, well laid out with coffee etc as well as cakes, pastries, sandwiches and the likes. Really enjoyed our food - took it away for a later picnic but could easily have sat outside in their picnic area. Really great!

We had some really delicious cake and tea. I would definitely recommend the banana chocolate cake and the apple caramel cake. The service was really nice and I would definitely stop there again.

Food was nice and service was, for the most part, friendly. One server seemed to be having a bad day. Brusque and barely civil. Very expensive for what was served.

Lucky to find that dinner was available on one of the nights. The meal was excellent. Extremely well cooked, presented and served. Don't miss the opportunity to eat there if you can. Elaine is a great cook/chef.

Agree with the other reviews. This is an unlikely place to find at the end of the world. We felt welcomed and in the main enjoyed our stay. The only downside was the cost for the 2 of us. £200 for a snack, breakfast, plate of curry and a bunkhouse bed with no shower and a outside toilet seemed breathtaking expensive. To put this into perspective, we go to a nice hotel each year for a winter break, that's more than we pay per day at the hotel with vastly more civilized amenities. I do understand there are logistics involved at Cape wrath. However for an 'ordinary' local Scottish person I'd be looking to stay at sandwood bay and make a lunch trip to the cafe as I simply can't justify the cost/value. However, it is altogether improbably situated and a must experience if you are doing a long walk. Just be prepae your expectations.
