A France meets Ayr night at The Bistro-gorgeous cocktails;interesting menu- onion soup,duck,bourguignon and fish were beautifully cooked; service was,as always,immaculate. Thanks to the whole team for a really lovely evening- looking forward to the next one.

So pleased we came across this cafe. Delicious, all Vegan home cooked food. The breakfast was wonderful, made to order and not a quorn sausage in sight! Coffee was perfect and the staff very friendly. It’s no surprise to see they have won awards. 😊

The café has a really warm and welcoming environment. The staff leave you to it but are very friendly and personable if you need any help. My boyfriend and I went here for just a couple of hours whilst we were on our holiday but we wish we could go more often as it was such a lovely place - it felt like they had their own little community. Big thanks to the staff and we hope that your business is thriving. We also managed to pick up a great game - Wildlands - which we had great fun playing that evening (would recommend).

Je n'ai jamais été déçue par un gâteau de cette pâtisserie. Par contre les Bredle, chocolats etc. gagneraient à être un peu moins chers pour me faire acheter autre chose que juste les gâteaux, qui eux sont pour la qualité à un prix normal. Sans doute la meilleure pâtisserie de BARR.

Have to say exrtremely impressed by this Greggs shop lovely staff excellent food and drink. All in all top notch indeed!

Focaccia was lovely but the lasagna stole the show! Tasted just like the kind you get in Italy, which is hard to find here in Scotland. Pesto was great too. 10/10 will definitely be back again to try the pizza and desserts!

We had a Tempura 2go and it was delicious. We had a main portion of Filthy Fries, a main portion of Naughty Fries, and two kids Chicken Tempura and Fries. All meals were very nice and tasted amazing. Big portions, we could not finish it all. Very friendly staff. Will be back!

The Old Racecourse has no rooms

We thought we would give the westerly a try and see how it was. Both decided to dress up and make a date out of it, and I'm glad we did! The restaurant itself is attractive and has a good atmosphere. Staff (students) were brill and absolutely did their best. Our waiter was Adam and it was his first day, he was so sweet! The food was incredible. Far better than we expected, and if in any non training restaurant, could easily have been triple the price. Will definitely be back

We use your restaurant regularly but last night was absolutely shocking!…you knew there was 13 of us coming for a meal! Service was absolutely appalling from the kitchen. Food coming out in drips and drabs…making lots of mistakes, having to be asked several times where peoples orders were, …really really poor. Your food is delicious but when I raised my concerns your answer is the staff..no staff are lovely…you need to be more organised..you then say you were actually going to tell me to go elsewhere the night before our booking as you knew you couldn’t cope !!..seriously!!??…..please please sort this out !

Love the Chestnuts Hotel after an early evening walk along the promenade, great service in a great atmosphere.

Organised Christmas party of 30 people filled the place but the welcome was warm and everyone enjoyed their meal. We had the Christmas tradition meal lovely turkey with all the trimmings and Christmas pudding which was homemade with nice custard. Other options were included and everyone enjoyed the food.
