Quiet hotel in residential area, but very close to beach and harbour area, and shops etc. Rooms clean and comfortable, as were general areas. WiFi worked well in room. Both dinner and breakfast really good. All staff friendly and helpful - but especially the blonde waitress who served us for dinner on the Sunday evening (sorry - didn’t catch her name). She was especially great.

Ordered food online & it said 30 mins for delivery. It then change to 90 minutes. Called after 100 minutes and wad told is was with the driver. Finally turned up after another 10 minutes. Fries missing and pizza cold. Food received tasted very good. Pizza was great. Called straight away regarding missing fries and told I could get them free next time or delivered tonight. Asked how long they would be as already waited nearly two hours. Lady didn't seem bothered by this and said it would be next delivery whenever that was. Fries took 55 minutes to arrive. Food good but wait time and service crap

Found this place through trip advisor after having had terrible service at the Puffer which was our regular go to in Irvine. Peppermill will now be our regular place for food in Irvine. Staff were lovely, food was delicious and great value. A good range of dishes from traditional steak pie, baked potatoes to pizza & pasta.

Attended an engagement party last night. Atmosphere was great. Service was very smooth concidering the numbers. Staff could not have been more attentive, especialy Declan who increased my 4 to 5 stars. Thanks for making it a night to remember

Just had another meal from this takeaway, my Fiance had the chicken curry and chips and I had the chicken fried rice. The fried rice was dried up, the curry sauce was like coloured water and the chicken in the fried rice had a chemical taste. Definitely won't be eating from here again

Cannot complement the staff enough especially Irish Liz who was so pleasant, friendly, kind, courteous and attentive. Nothing was too much trouble. She is a credit to the owners. The food was amazing and other members of staff were very attentive too. Thank you for making our family birthday brunches smazing

We used to be regulars here but after having had several horrible meals from yoohoo last year, we haven't been for a while, but we ordered a meal recently to try it again and it was so delicious. Especially the new chicken curry spring rolls. From our experience, the food is better during the week when it's less busy and horrible at the weekends?....

Visited for Afternoon Tea for my birthday. We were really looking forward to a nice wee treat and a nice afternoon. Can't express how disappointed we were with food and service. Was a lovely sunny day with plenty of tables near window but got shown to a table in a dark and dingy area of the restaurant. Waited a while then waitress came over to ask if we wanted Tea or coffee (no choice, just standard tea or coffee). Arrived back with one small pot for two with no offer for a fresh pot etc later. Waited quite a while before food arrived. When Afternoon tea tray arrived we could not believe how unappetising it looked and how little there was. 3 measly finger sandwiches each with not much filling and the bread was stale and hard. There were no other savouries like quiche, sausage rolls, mini soup etc which are usually standard everywhere else. Asked for no fish and still got served disgusting tuna sandwiches. Went on to try scones. The came with some whipped cream which looked like it had been sitting a while and wasn't fresh and some cheap jam. The scones were rock solid and stale and way past their best. No butter. Could not eat them. Just awful. The mini cakes were all awful. Every single one of them was old & stale and seemed like they'd been sitting out for a week. Disgusting. Even the strawberry cut in half on top was dried up. Left pretty much everything, not that there was much to leave as everything was tiny. The service was non existant. No offer of fresh drinks etc and waited a long time to try get the bill. Have to say this is the worst Afternoon tea we've ever had and at £35.00 way overpriced. We did raise issues re everything being stale but still got charged full price. Just awful and really ruined what should have been a nice day for my birthday. Certainly won't be back and the restaurant should be ashamed having even left the kitchen! Neighbouring tables complained their bread etc was hard too.
