Just wanted to say we were at GG's yesterday and we're served by Gemma and a lovely young lady with short fair hair (forgot her name - so apolgies for that!) Also a young gentleman - they all were professional and mannerly - the service was first class and the food was delicious! Thank you for making our visit special

First time visiting . Totally recommend. Food excellent ,Staff very helpful and pleasant. Lovely atmosphere and also get to see the golf on the big screen. Thank you for a wonderful lunch .

Popped in for breakfast today as it had been a while since we'd been. It was really busy and took a while for coffee to be served. We'd been seated for about 50min before breakfast was actually served. This aside, both coffee and food were great and worth the wait. The staff are all friendly/professional and the café itself is very nice. Definitely recommend and will return!

I took my gran out for her birthday and the day was made extra special because of the excellent service from Liz (Irish). She went out of her way to look after us and make the day special for my gran.

We came today as a party of 14, adult and kids. Mel was amazing from start to finish and very accommodating as we were quite difficult at times in relation to our ordering snd changing things. She was so helpful and couldn’t have done anymore for us.

We visited tonight with a large group to celebrate our friends birthday food and service was fantastic. Mel was our server she was so patient with our large group and her customer service skills were fantastic

Mel was amazing , very hard to please group of 11 and she made sure everything was spot on for each one of us ... deserves a medal 🏅

Gave this another go after being at the cafe a while back, but seems to have gone downhill from there. Lots of staff on, but waited ages to get a coffee order, and then 20mins for it to arrive. Food order took a while too. Coffee is tasteless. Ordered scrambled eggs which were clearly overcooked in a microwave, they were terrible. A cafe that cant make eggs to order. Overall it was poor, and we overheard others with similar complaints. Its not cheap either, so better quality and price options elsewhere.

First time i have visited and il definitely be back. Lovely interior and the staff are friendly and keen to help with anything. I had the GG burger with lava cheese. It was absolutely fantastic. I'll 100% be back.

Visit regularly for a light lunch. Good service. Very friendly and attentive staff. Food very good. And even sausages for the dog!

On entering the coffee shop on our first first we were greeted by Aimee, who gave us such a warm welcome and her table service was first class. We will definitely be back - thanks so much Aimee.

Service is always so friendly and upbeat, all the staff are great. Food is great, I love the way you can customise your order (within reason) by adding, removing or substituting items from the dish.

Very poor service. Was told that we would have a table in a couple of minutes. Stood for 20mins with no feedback. Meanwhile 2 people were at a table for 6. Poor distribution of seating plans.

Had such a lovely experience this morning at breakfast with my family. It was my 50th birthday and the 3 girls that served us were most accommodating and extremely friendly….so sorry we forgot your names. Our party of 6 thoroughly enjoyed our breakfasts and couldn’t fault any of the food, and I look forward to returning some time soon. Furthermore I would like to express my appreciation for my complimentary cake, it too was delicious. Many many thanks to all of the staff.

Had toasted sourdough and scrambled eggs. Huge portion only ate half. Enjoyed it but would’ve liked the eggs warmer. My friend had eggs florentine and loved it.

We come here often and always enjoy the food and coffee. The staff are great, recognise us now. Usually my partner and I come with our dog who enjoys a bowl of scrambled eggs. I like GGs but a couple of improvements would make it 5 stars all day long. Please have staff approach customers when they enter, don't keep us waiting forever, the last few times I've been they look over but so much as acknowledge us - it drives me daft. I know they are busy but most of the time we arrive there are 2 or 3 of them doing very little behind the counter. Even if they could call over to say someone will be with you soon. Next up - please find another way for the driving range customers to go. It's not a nice experience when you're trying to relax and have food and drinks having them troop through with their clubs (love golf so no hate here). Finally PLEASE start selling scones, you're the only coffee venue in the world that doesn't sell them, oh and put the sugar back on the table, one packet of sugar with my coffee isn't going to cut it and I hate having to ask for more. Still love GGs though :)

We spent an hour or so at the Driving Range then sat down for lunch in the restaurant. We were looked after by Cameron, who was an absolute star, so polite, helpful and friendly! Portion sizes are plenty, everything was well cooked, piping hot and so tasty. The dining area is well kept, clean and inviting.

Waited at door to be seated for 10 mins while 2 girls at the bar chatted , husband enjoyed the philli baguette but my chicken toastie was sparse of chicken and very dry, overpriced and had better elsewhere . Golfers walking through restaurant when there is another access is not ideal either , disappointing .

Paul's service at the restaurant was excellent! He was attentive, friendly, and made our lunch experience truly enjoyable. The food was delicious, and the charming ambiance added to the overall charm. Highly recommended!

Terrible unfortunately. Took 10 mins to bring tea, then said there was a 30 min wait for a bowl of soup and a toastie! A tenner for a toastie and £6 for a bowl of soup and they think half an hour wait is okay? Absolute joke of a place.

What's happened.Very disappointed, service used to be fast and friendly. Now had to wait for 45 minutes to get served even though it was not too busy. Staffed seemed to be doing two jobs at the same time. Won't be back any time soon.

Food and coffees were good. Service was very poor apart from, I think, the manager. Several young members of staff dozing around, not paying attention and waiting the tables properly. 45 minutes wait for the table to be cleared and for dessert menus. Had to ask twice after 30 minutes for table to be cleared at bar and for menus. Again, food lovely, but service very poor. Also doesn't make sense having the golfers come through the restaurant for the driving range...causes other issues.

Service was really bad. A couple of waitresses with attitudes. One of them just threw our plate with cake on down with no care. Waited around a long time to have our table cleared. Nobody asked if we needed any sauces or how our food was. Food wasn't great, £17.50 for a cold and tasteless burger. Wraps were dry and also tasteless. Overall it is way overpriced and very poor service. We won't be visiting again.

We visited for coffee and cake with family, the cakes were not as good as expected with dry, small scones, and the service was pretty dismal to be honest. A couple of the staff were friendly, but the rest seemed to lack basic customer service knowledge and we had to ask for forgotten items from our order several times. Before leaving, the trip to the disabled toilet became an adventure as "just through the double doors" led to a fair trek to the other end of the building. The cost overall was high for the food and service we received.

We really enjoyed our experience at GG's, We hadn't booked a table so to find that there was limited availability for a table was completely understandable, the staff managed to get us a table in the sports lounge and was very apologetic which there was no need but we appreciated the apology, we were grateful that he managed to get us a table. Really enjoyed our food and waiters and waitresses could not have been nicer, we also got takeaway sweet treats, of which the lady with blonde hair got all of that sorted for us departing. Overall really nice facilities, food and staff. Well done to all staff at GG's seems like a great team. Hopefully the weather is nice enough that we can enjoy and drink and a bite to eat outside.
