Frasers Bar in North Ayrshire

Popped in for a quick pint while waiting on the bus back to the ferry. The pub was quiet but looked to have their regulars in for lunch and the large portions of food looked delicious.

Food is magic nice old fashioned bar service is spot on.

Brilliant pub with delicious real ale (something I rarely see!!) The steak pie was excellent and unbelievable value for the amount of meat. A great experience 👍

The trip to Millport was a Birthday treat, and we were advised to have lunch in Frasers, which must be the steak pie. Our guide was a regular visitor to Millport, and his recommendation did not disappoint. The food and service was 10/10, Frasers is a must visit on our next trip.

Arrived the first night on Cumbrae and decided to eat here the first night as the local chip was closed. Glad we have it a go as the food was excellent, nice traditional menu, well priced and it did not take long at all. Kids portions were a good size for an 11yr old, he managed the ice cream after (just!). Very warm and welcoming local pub in the front, with a comfortable family restaurant area to the rear. Great staff who were friendly and great banter.

Lovely place to stop off when visiting Millport. Food quality was ok . Nothing really special, Piping hot and it did exactly what it said . For the price , definitely value for money . We went for the Mac a Cheese and the Fish a Chips .

Didn’t expect it to be so busy on a Saturday night at the end of September but it was! Arrived just after 530pm got the last table in family dining area! Ordered food and drinks at the bar, made aware could be a 40min wait, which was fine, and the food arrived a little before that. Orders were leaving kitchen quick and fast. Prices are extremely fair for the current climate and food good quality pub fare. Absolutely no complaints. The staff were all friendly and pleasant. We may have found our new go to in Millport :)

Lovely lovely friendly staff and pub. Food was the worst ive ever had. The cajun chicken which should have been butterflied, seasoned and pan fried was straight out of fridge tasteless spongy and freezing. The fish goujons were nothing more than fish fingers. Soooo disapponting. Dont dress like a chef and serve such terrible food. Loved the bar though.

Every time I go to Milport I've got to visit Fraser's Bar for a meal and today was the day they make you so welcome. I have visitors from Kent and they thoroughly enjoyed their meal . I must say the staff was first class .

Had a great pint here on a weekend evening. Was busy but we managed to grab a seat by the bar, they had great choice and it was a good atmosphere!

Very busy, but managed to get a table. Burgers were tasteless and so were the chips. Salad was lovely. Their saving Grace was the lovely hard working resturant staff. Expecially the young chap who had to maneuver past kids wandering about while he was carrying plates of food. We done young chap.

In Millport for a short break. Did not want self catering so ate out. Read the reviews and liked the sound of Frasers, Menu in digs out of date so went in and asked for a new one. " Certainly ... No problem, " Good start. Checked against previous prices and found some increase but not to worry. Location near the harbour good for parking. Went about 6.00 pm and found bar busy but lots of room in family restaurant area. Order at the bar with a delightful barmaid and and watch a giant TV while waiting ( not long ) for first course. Soups wonderful. Mains equally delicious. Sweets to die for. Herself had wine, I ( driver ) had juice, both had coffee. Tout ensemble £ 41. Incredible ! ! !

Wee day trip to Millport so me my friend and the kids popped into Frasers for lunch. We usually eat anything, never fussy and never complain or leave reviews. But the food we got today (steak pie) was tasteless, the meat was fatty and the gravy was pale in colour, watery and tasteless. The chunky chips were pale white and floppy. All that being said, the pastry looked and tasted good and the tomato sauce was the tastiest part of it all. At our summer trip, we will definitely avoid here for lunch. Finally we were freezing cold and the pub was too, no heating on and so we ate the little bit food with our jackets on.

We decided to have a trip over from Largs to Millport for lunch, to celebrate a family member's birthday. We went to Frasers and had a lovely lunch; roast beef dinner, fish and chips and Madras Curry. All the food was excellent and good value, staff were attentive and kind, a lovely fire was lit and we felt very relaxed. Thank you for a great afternoon.

We went here after waiting an hour for lunch service and experiencing bad customer service at another establishment just yards down the street. Frasers Bar was friendly, good customer service and dogs allowed but only in the beer garden area which was fine with us as the sun was beaming and we were quite hungry by then. Highly recommended for a relaxing lunch and drink. Will definitely come back here.

Have visited Frasers many times so had to pop in whilst we were here, the menu has plenty of choice and the specials are worth a look too! Great staff and a nice atmosphere in the bar and restaurant.

What a little gem! Not only did we have a really tasty meal here, the chef brought us out treats on the house. Really friendly staff and a lovely roaring fire. We loved it so much we bought the staff a drink each to say thanks. Can't underestimate how wonderful this place is.

This place is outstanding. The staff have phenomenal customer service skills. The food was delicious and reasonably priced. Very baby/child friendly. Definitely worth a visit.

Quite quiet when I was in a bit disappointed that meals are not served till 17:30 but it was off season.

Every time we have been at Fraser's the food has been great value and service has been speedy and very well organised. Battered fish and chips, scampi and chips and steak pie very tasty. Best place in Millport 😀😀😀😀Highly recommended

This place is brilliant me, my hubby, my daughter and her 4 kids all went in for lunch and even the kids loved their food. The service was amazing and Linsay behind the bar was amazing with us and the kids. Thankyou Linsay for a great experience..

First class establishment, can't fault any aspect of it.

First visit to Millport and we were looking for a nice bar meal. The bar was busy with a good atmosphere. My husband had a pint of Belhaven Black which he said was the best one he had tasted in a long while. I had the steak pie which was good and my husband had mince n tatties which he said was also good. Would recommend.

Had a few wines and real ales and food. Staff very friendly and helpful and services good.

Arrived lateish on a Friday evening but all ok for a good couple of dinners. Good sized ham salad plus a chicken burger and chips did us well. Good cheery vibe on a busy evening. Good range of drinks with friendly attentive staff.

Sat in beer garden as we had dogs but nice wee spot and nice day. We had soups with piece tiger bread. Soup wasnt a thick soup and could have done with bigger bowl but nice big bit bread and soup had good flavour. Nice service and would return

Checked out TripAdvisor and saw Fraser's Bar had glowing recommendations. There were a lot of people in, but the staff were great as I was told there would a wait. I had time to enjoy my beer and read my magazine before the food came. The food was well worth the wait. I had the steak pie, rich chunks of tender beef in gravy with a flaky topping. The meal came with neeps, peas and smashed potatoes. Some might argue it was not technically a 'pie' but with food this good, I was happy. I sat in the public bar although there was a dining area adjacent. 'Old school' bar - good atmosphere, friendly staff. Worth a return visit.

Went here for our 16th wedding anniversary. We have been here a couple if times and always enjoyed the toastie's with pineapple. This time, as we were staying on the island, we came for our anniversary dinner. We sat through the back which seemed quieter. We knew what was on the menu, but went for the specials on the board, a beautiful roast lamb dinner, with the trimmings and even mint sauce! Staff were friendly, and the food was the best we have had. Really hot and stayed hot. Would definitely recommend and will be back in the future. This is definitely the place to eat when staying on the island. And it's good value too.

Popped in on our wee visit recently and we both thoroughly enjoyed our visit. Place has a real community feel,visitors and locals mingling together without any fuss. Unfortunately we didn't have time to try the food but from what we saw it looked really good,maybe another day.

Anyone who likes alcoholic drinks will love it. It is a more traditional style bar, with several types of beers. I don't drink so I always drink soda. I will accompany my na morado who loves this place. It has piped music, TV, games. The place is always clean and the staff are always very polite. Food is very tasty and place is clean. A great place to meet in Milport.

The great thing about Frasers is that you always feel welcome and comfortable, the fire was cosy this weekend and we were in a few times for lunch, dinner and drinks.

Beer garden in the 🌞. All staff are extremely helpful and pleasant. We only had soup at lunchtime but it was delicious

Visited on 31st March with my husband. Great family pub. Plenty of room in the rear with a large roomy eating area for families. The bar/lounge also had a large area for locals and tourists alike. The service was pleasant and friendly. We were told apologetically that the prices had just risen on the day but still reasonable. Pub was a little dated but spotless so wouldn't have a problem eating here in future.

Visited for the first time and received a fantastic welcome from the landlord, roaring fire, excellent real ale and just a great place to spend time. I can’t recommend this bar highly enough.

Pass the bar, Frasers offers a section where you can dine with your family while still feeling like you are among the obeisance of this fantastic gem of Millport. The staff are all warm, welcoming individuals who go above and beyond to make sure you are enjoying your visit. Restrooms are immaculately clean and easy to find. This is a must visit venue that is guaranteed to add that extra bit of joy to your visit. The food is always freshly prepared, delicious, and well priced. You won't be disappointed.

Was here Saturday the 9th July. Delicious food excellent atmosphere great prices and lovely staff. Roast beef melt in the mouth beautiful. Only thing is I felt portions were a bit smaller. I would be more than happy to pay a few pounds more for larger portion for such delicious food. B back again next year ❤️

Went here for drink/evening meal. Excellent welcoming staff, very clean pleasant bar. Choice of food was good - pretty standard pub fare but efficiently served and well prepared. Enjoyed the meals we had here & would recommend this pub for drinks/lunch/dinner.

Lovely little pub however I found the female staff member who was behind the bar to be rude and very abrupt. Did not seem interested in serving drinks to anyone who was not a local patron. Despite the bar not being busy I had a fairly long wait to be served and when I was eventually served it would be fair to say she appeared uninterested, for example when I asked if there was crisps available I was met with a nod towards the floor. My friend and myself promptly finished the drinks we had purchased and left due to feeling uncomfortable in this environment. Unfortunately I would not go to this establishment again due to the experience we had.
