Yoohoo Chinese in North Ayrshire

We used to be regulars here but after having had several horrible meals from yoohoo last year, we haven't been for a while, but we ordered a meal recently to try it again and it was so delicious. Especially the new chicken curry spring rolls. From our experience, the food is better during the week when it's less busy and horrible at the weekends?....

Ordered kung po chicken very dry and hard cldnt cut it or get forking it looked like it was dried out batter was really hard so had the chips with cold meat and beans kung po went in the bin totally unedible

Very poor from new management! The most disgusting sweet & sour that I have EVER tasted! Don't waste your money, & go elsewhere!

Absolutely shocking ordered noodles and thin noodles. I only received 9 chips!!! Ordered online and payed online then asked by driver for 50p extra because i bought a snack box- which i already paid for. Then i gave him a £1 and he just left without giving me change. Honestly very disappointed and i won’t be buying again!!!

This is one of our go-to takeaways, food is delicious and portions are a great size for the price. The delivery service is always quick and the food is always piping hot, no complaints. We would definitely recommend!

Best Chinese Take Away in Irvine!!! I would highly recommend the chips, fried rice and curry sauce (with or without mushroom and onion). It's filling without feeling too much. Also don't forget your fortune cookies! They're mystically tasty 😉✨

Absolutely nasty, “crispy” food is soggy, curry sauce is a salt fest, I’d guess there’s a middle aged drunk chef thinking he’s the bees knees in there as it’s all so so bad!

Singapore noodles were the worst thing I’ve tried in a long time one mouthful was enough the smell was disgusting 🤢

Always great food and good value. The YooHoo chips made with chilli bean paste are amazing. Took us a while to try here, but we have become regulars.

had a breast of chicken curry and salt and chilli chips. asked them to make the curry really spicy and they phoned to ask if i wanted chilli flakes in it as they didnt have fresh chillies, stupidly i agreed and ended up disappointed. really bland, like zero spiceyness to it whatsoever. salt and chilli chips were below par too for what used to be a great little takeaway

Just had my very first order from yoohoo Chinese takeaway and will be my last ordered sweet sour chicken and chips chicken balls soggy sauce certainly wasn't like sweet sour sauce funny colour chips rotten lot of bad ones 2 big spring rolls on the small side bbq spare ribs tasteless peking chicken half of it was cold in middle worst Chinese takeaway av ever had.🤑🤮 waste of money and dinner wasted went in bin.

Placed an order, food was shockingly bad. Opened the carton and the smell was appalling. Called about a refund and had to argue to get my money back. Not even an apology or an acknowledgement from the manager/owner. Will never use here again. *edit* The owners claims of 'they don't know of any complaint' are lies and I have witnesses to prove it.

Sofar had a home delivery and a self call in, both services great. Food is very good, tasty and hot. Service of a high standard. Well done.

Great food, and great staff . I use this takeaway alot when I am in North Ayrshire (Irvine.) The prices are good also Wongtong Noodle soup.

Best Chinese by far. Food is delicious, especially their king prawn and oyster sauce. Great service, good portions, always friendly and helpful.

We work as nurses long hard shifts and this is our choice of food great portions taste value and delivery always on time and courteous

Meal wasnt that great neither of us are much but the real issue for me was that in these times of trying to keep safe from covid I called order in and visited to collect. There were 5 people sitting in the small waiting area no procedures in place for distancing due to virus.. shielded windows up for protection of staff but no gloves or masks in sight. She called my name to go in collect. I am a carer on the front like and take every step available with PPE and constant washing cleaning for to be as safe as possible at all times, then am faced with a situation where I feel vulnerable and very unsafe. I think I this is truelly disgraceful, uncaring, unprofessional for any establishment at this time and can honestly say I wont be back to put myself in that position again. I believe you should be ashamed Of your lack of care and consideration for others

We got a takeaway from here, it was first time in a long time but standards haven't changed, great food and good sized portions. We had the honey/garlic shredded chicken which was delicious. We always get this from here. Cant recommend this place enough!

Ordered a chicken Maryland tonight, arrived within 10 minutes should have known absolute reheats everything in it. Phoned but they really didn’t address the problem. Never again Money in the bin.

I loved this wee take away as the food is delicious, I love curry especially beef curry with fried rice, the service is fast the staff couldn't be nicer there is about a 7 seater bench for you to wait for your meal with a tv with sub titles on. Right next to the bus stops to Ardrossan or kilmarnock and in between also a taxi rank 1 minute from Yoohoo.

Tried the Chicken Curry and Kung Po chicken, asked for breast of chicken but got leg etc which I don't like. Rice was nice but wasn't too keen on the curry as it was more like gravy with some 5 spices in it. Kung Po was just ok, wouldn't order either again if I'm honest.

I was recently recommended this take away by a colleague at work and looked forward to ordering a takeaway on my weekend off work. My husband and I had a look over the menu and decided to order sweet and sour chicken with a side order of rice and salt and chilli chips. The batter on the chicken wasn't crispy, more chewy. The sauce was almost transparent I'm colour and had very little flavour and the chips were like a pile of mush as they had been squashed into a container. Really dissatisfied with our food and having paid that bit extra hoping for a nice meal was a complete waste of money

Our usual place that we go to was closed so had to try somewhere new and Yoohoo came recommended and so glad we did the food was fantastic newlver had chicken wings like it. When the food arrived it was still piping hot and didn’t have to be microwaved as we normally have to. This may just be our new local lol.

We had heard such good reviews about yoohoo Chinese takeaway ,so we decided to try it and I am so glad we did ! Everything was so fresh couldn't fault anything! Delivery only took 40 which for a sat night is pretty quick ! Highly recommended!!

ive been getting food from this fabulous chinese takeaway for about 6 months the food is always piping hot when delivered. The staff in the shop are very chatty and the place is spotless delivery drivers are very chirpy when they come to the door would not order from anywhere yoohoo you are the BEST!!!!

first time ordering from here since it changed hands but we were not disappointed, the food was delicious although delivery did take 1 hour and 15 mins but it was a saturday night, will definitely be trying again.

Have ordered here for the first time after reading the reviews. I advised the family that this was supposed to be the best chinese in irvine. The feedback i got from my family was that the ribs were fatty, the chicken balls too doughy, s&c; chips were very overcooked and cardboardy, the s&c; chicken was greasy to the point when you bit into them the grease went down your chin and over the fingers. Normal chips were overcooked and the curry was lacking in flavour as was the extra portion of gravy. On the positive side i thot my spicy chow mein was edible - they did also send extra crackers and a portion of mini spring rolls.

My usual food I get from yoohoo is my regular beef curry with no onions, salt and chilly chips, large rice great delivery service and good customer service unlike many other restaurants around irvine area. This is the place to go if you want a full decent meal yoohoo has great Chinese food!

Food is always piping hot when we get our delivery. We usually get beef curry which is brilliant, nice tender beef and the sauce is lovely and spicy. Good prices too and speedy delivery. This is the only Chinese takeaway I use now.

1st time we've had a meal from Yoohoo, and it was really good, my wife had the prawn curry and I had the beef curry, ive tried a lot of meals from different Chinese carryout's and the beef always taste's slimey so I normally settle for chips fried rice and curry sauce.So thumbs up to Yoohoo I'll be ordering from you again.Tom

Yoohoo is a great place for take aways. The service is excellent and friendly. I am quite fussy with food and they are always happy to cater to my needs. I would certainly recommend.

About time we had a decent chinese in Irvine. Been using Yoohoo for months now and always been happy with the food. Any time delivery driver has been busy I've always been made aware of this when I place my order and if need be I drive down myself and my food is ready for me. One of the better takeaway outlets and easily the best chinese in the town in my opinion.

This chinese is easily the best in ayrshire . Very good value for money , portion sizes are very good . I read about the delivery service is not very good but i would say all delivery services are much the same in irvine

Called for an order at 7.35 food arrived at 9.20, delivery driver looked as though he was on drugs, will never get anything from here again.
