Wonderful food, quick delivery and friendly staff - I loved it! Ordered the chicken satay starter, chicken fried rice, chips and curry sauce. Portions were so big that it easily fed 3 adults! I’ll definitely be using the Shanghai going forward!

Fantastic food every time, fast delivery service & there’s definitely something on the menu for everyone! The snack boxes are fantastic for anyone just wanting a small portion or a meal for themselves without spending a fortune on a large meal.

Extremely good value quick service and fantastic food. The delivery as well is ALWAYS extremely quick!! Definitely one of the best takeaways in the three towns. The staff as well are always friendly and helpful and the portions are great.

We finally got the chance to try this Chinese, the service was quick, food was delicious, great sized portions and all reasonably priced. They have some unusual items on the menu which we want to try, so we will definitely be back!

Came here for many years! And never had a bad meal from it it’s cheap fantastic value and great food and service! There’s plenty to pick from too. The delivery is always extremely fast!! Honestly can’t recommend this place enough!

My favourite Chinese by a mile!!! Fantastic food and plenty to pick from also the prices are half the price of some other local Chinese. I love enjoy the fact the do smaller portions (meal boxes) for a meal for 1 person I regularly get this as it’s filling and perfect for 1 person and you can chose from many different dishes/sauces in this. The delivery is normally quick as well.

Returned the food and stated I didn’t want refund as I ate the chips ,told the Chinese owner the chicken wasn’t nice and said it’s slimey and not chicken texture , she told me I’m a lier no one else complains, also wouldn’t look at chicken told me to take it away from her and dump it outside , called me disgusting and I don’t know why all because I said the chicken was disgusting , extremely rude and not nice atall,avoid at all costs

I ordered weekly from this takeaway and have never had a bad meal in over 6 years of using it. It offers smaller portions as well which comes in handy if it’s just for 1 person. Fantastic food and prices.

Got our order completely wrong. Rang to ask them to put it right and accused me of being drunk. Just finished a 12 hour shift in A&E. Disgraceful service.

My misses who is pregnant by the way had ordered herself something to eat from this restaurant and which contained chips and curry and other items the chips were cold and the curry sauce which was on my food also was all congealed and when phoned back the woman on the phone was very cheeky and hung the phone up multiple times on us will definitely not be buying from here again!!!

I order here most weeks from the soup to the curries and the set meal boxes for one evening everything is delicious and always is! The prices are good and delivery is normally quick.

Okay, Covid makes life tough for all places but this was just ridiculous. It is impossible to find the menus online - the website linked here is wrong and just does not resolve to a live site. Google searches fail t find them. We were nearby so decided to drop by - outside there was queue of people waiting, there was a very faded (and almost impossible to read) menu outside. We tried to get a printed menu but were waved off. Eventually we just about worked out what was on the menu then went through the rigmarole of phoning in an order as per their Covid compliant instructions. Engaged. Engaged. Engaged. Engaged. Engaged. You get the idea. Eventually they answered and was told to "wait a minute" and the phone just went dead while we heard sounds of a restaurant. Waited. Waited. Waited. Eventually got fed up, hung up and went elsewhere. Oh and for all the Covid security, they only take case not the much safer contactless transactions as all the other takeaways in the area do.

Amazing food I’ve tried just about every chinesse in the 3 towns and this is by far the best! The food is always beautiful to the snack boxes to the curries it’s all amazing I order normally once a week and I’m never disappointed the staff are friendly and the delivery drivers are extremely friendly and fast!!

The food at The Shanghai is first class. I would recommend it to anyone. I especially loved the Thai prawn curry.

I’ve been using shanghai for many years now and order normally once a week (family treat) I can honestly say there food is beautiful I’ve never had a bad meal or any of our family complain about anything the staff are friendly the delivery is quick and delivery drivers are extremely friendly and pleasant I personally wouldn’t go anywhere else ! There curry and salt and chilli chips is my favourite!

Ordered from here recently and am very disappointed. They went to the wrong address and got my order wrong, when I phoned to complain the woman on the phone wouldnt listen to the fact it was wrong and was very rude. She clearly needs her hearing tested because she is as deaf as a post and needs to work on her stinking horrible attitude. Surprised the place has lasted this long being that mediocre and unpleasant Worst dining experience in my life, would not recommend to anyone. There are much better chinese takeaways in the three towns stay away feom this place

Very good chinese carryout. Especially like the Snack Boxes which are smaller versions of main dishes. Find these are plenty to eat & not much thengoes to waste.

I collect a Chinese meal nearly every week from this takeaway. Tonight not for this first time I ordered a home delivery. After 1 hour and 10 minutes I phoned to ask if it would be much longer. I was told that I gave the wrong phone number and address and the driver had to return it to the shop as I had not answered the phone or the door. Why would I do that !!!.Shanmoon for me from now on. Never a bad meal or late. I always like to give everyone a bit of buisness. And to be told I dont know my phone number or address ....shocking !!@

The service you receive here is really good. And the portions of food are great and well worth the money.

We tried this Chinese takeaway for the first time and will be definitely going back! And will be referring them to friends! Food is very tasty!!

Christmas eve dinner. Fantastic takeaway. The delivery driver was very pleasant and considering it was Christmas eve I thought it would take a while but got our food 30 mins after ordering. Everyone really enjoyed the food. Highly recommended.

When I want a Chinese Takeaway, this is where I phone. Rarely have problems and the food is always really really good.

We visited here whilst in the area last year for an amazing take away, being in the area again this year thought we would try it again. We were not disappointed, the food was well cooked and the service was very good and the staff were friendly. They have offers where you spend over £9 and get free prawn crackers and orders over £18 free spring rolls or spare ribs. Great food thoroughly recommend, shame it isn't closer to where we live.

My husband is coeliac and they cater for gluten free choices. Kids loved the salt and chilli munch box which is a bargain

Just moved to Ardrossan so finding my feet. The menu was a lot more expensive than advertised online! Got prawn Satay, prawns were very chewy and a bit under cooked which is a worry. The Satay sauce was watery.Wandering Dragon for the main course was quite nice, a mixture of chicken and prawns with vegetables. Garlic sauce was lovely and strong tasting, only thing was I would have liked a better range of vegetables. Chips were tasty and the overall portions were large, could easily have done two people. Delivery driver was really nice and pleasant.

We ordered a take away on Saturday night, we got salt and chilli chicken wings and my daughter had honey chicken. The chicken was raw in the middle on both meals. i always have got my Chinese meals there but never again.

Apsolutely discusting rude staff and food that if you were to eat it would cause you harm chicken is cooked from freezer STAY WELL AWAY !!!

This was the best takeaway I have had for a long time. The quality of food was good and it was cooked to perfection. If I am every in the area again I will revisit. The service was quick. The only thing was that they only accepted cash.
