Lotus house in North Ayrshire

Ordered really early on a Friday night. Took an hour to arrive. Food was cold. Last time I will ordera home delivery. Disgusting.

Giving the current situation, Lotus House never fails to disappoint. The quality of the food is superb even though I had to wait just a wee bit longer because of how busy it is; it is still definitely worth it and I would absolutely come back not so far into the future!

I have been buying meals from lotus house for 40 years and have never been disappointed. Bought 7 meals tonight for the extended family 11 people. Great service - great meals. Thanks to Lotus House and staff - again! Wouldnt go anywhere else.

I can't understand the really negative review in an earlier posting. I have always found Lotus House food to be fantastic. While probably not the cheapest Chinese food to be found, I have always thought of it as great tasting, good value and the portions to be very generous. As they say on their menu, if you don't like their food, please tell them!

1st time trying this place. Disgusted!!! The food was shocking and WAY over priced! (had old menu, £8 more!) gravy - thick and tasteless, ribs - oily! Fried rice - dry, soup - bin! Sweet and sour sauce like glue, beef as chewy as a sand shoe(not that I have tried), chicken as dry as a desert and overall NO FLAVOUR! AVOID! Will stick to my usual, golden city! (Great

Lazy night so wife decided to stop of at our local ChineseTake away. The Lotus house is the best in Irvine for curry dish.Pictures don’t do it justice. Beef curry and chips one of our regular buys was as expected Lovely. We also bought the chicken omelette to try, found it OK but chicken was dry and tasteless unless you’re eating with omelette. Both meals are big portions and well worth the money.

As always food was delicious and portions are quite generous and always open 7 days. Highly recommend.

In my opinion the best fast food carry out in Ayrshire, been ordering from this Chinese take away for around 30 years have tried some of the other fast food place in Irvine but George has been running this shop all his life and has it just right, some times the curry is just not right maybe trying out new chiefs but most times every dish we order arrives quickly and portions are good. You can phone for a delivery or phone a order in and collect I look forward to my weekly Chinese meal from Lotus house

I just had food delivered and the sweet and sour chicken was basically sweet and sour veg. The sauce is really runny and has a real overpowering stench of malt vinegar. The chicken curry we ordered also burst all over the bag. Prawn crackers were soggy. We binned the food and ordered again but from Peking chef. Far superior.

Had a lovely meal from here on Saturday evening. The food was lovely. Well presented. Hot too. Highly recommend.

Been there for takeaway on Monday...first time and I tell you it won't be the last ....overall this has to be one of the best Chinese I have ever eaten definitely well worth it good food and good service ...!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ordered meal Christmas Day. We have done for a few years now. This year food was shocking absolutely tasteless and owner totally under pressure and rude to customers won't use again.

The food from lotus house is delicious however on two occasions we have waited over two hours for delivery. The first time we ordered we took it but the second time we cancelled on principal as we called after an hour and were told it was out for delivery but it still hadnt arrived after two hours. I certainly don't want to pay for food which has been sitting in a car boot for over an hour. Very very poor.

Food is always great, good sized portions and always warm, quick delivery service, never had any problems.
