Sweet and sour chicken in batter, lovely with slightly spiced sweet & sour sauce. Chicken fried rice, chicken chow mein are tasty too.

Ordered a curry from here for the first time and the sauce is absolutely foul. Doesn’t taste like curry sauce at all and is honestly gagworthy. Chips are soggy and disgusting as well. Will never eat from here again.

Local family business cooking up fabulous takeaway meals, Lisa & Peter have run it for over 30 years & have such faithful clientele its best to phone your order in before you go to pick it up at weekends as so busy.

I'm sorry to say but the meals we had from here weren't good. The Foo yung was anemic and sloppy as if the eggs weren't cooked enough and the fried rice was dark obviously too much soya, maybe they had an off day. I'm sorry to say but I would not recommend this place for a takeaway, try somewhere else as there are plenty of places in Saltcoats and the surrounding area.

I live in Edinburgh but always make a point of visiting Orchids when I come to sunny Saltcoats. Its an absolute cracker and the prices are reasonable. I cant think I have been to a better take away in this country. Its great quality with beautiful fresh veg and the soup in particular is hearty and delicious. A real must
