We have two 7-year-olds and asked for the children’s menu. The waitress said they didn’t have one, which is nonsense because they do. There’s a pile of them next to the normal menus on a table at the entrance. A family that arrived five minutes later with slightly younger children was given a children’s menu. No idea why. Otherwise a very pleasant place.

I checked google, hidden Scotland and this site ALL said it was open on Tuesday. Drove past our usual coffee place to come here and found a sign on the door saying closed Tuesdays!

This was my second visit, the first being a summer lunch over a year ago. This time I went for Sunday roast. Everything is very clean and pleasant, staff were smart and friendly it was just lacking in any atmosphere. There was popular music on the speakers which doesn't really fit the vibe they appear to be going for. The 'drugs' will not be tolerated sign on the back of the ladies cubicles also seemed a bit out of place alongside Arran Aromatics products on the sink. The Sunday roast was ok, average I would say. The gravy was pre poured only over meat, leaving yorkies and the 3 potatoes very dry. Minimal fancy veg (a carrot and a long floret of cauliflower and a spoon of mashed neeps) although you could order extra side dishes. I had the Pear and Frangipane tart, which was nice enough but did not taste of almonds at all, needed extra essence.

No hair nets hats worn in food preparation area. No gloves worn either No Elementary Food Hygiene Certificate Displayed Just poor food hygiene, I don't think none of the staff in the coffee shop are even qualified to work in the kitchen in the first place. I would avoid unless you want some ones hair on finger nail in your food. Best avoid

Very disappointing. Spotted this cafe when we drove through kirkton of skene. There was a couple outside with a dog. They were served and was hoping we would be next. Only for us to finish our coffee and our order had still not appeared. Only to find that our order had been delivered to another table, who had ordered the same meals as ours and started to eat it. It took ages to pay for our coffees only for the table that had our meal was then complaining that they had not received their drinks. I sat outside and was listening to another family who had ordered coffees takeaway. Only for the woman having placed them In cups to have outside. Too much of a fiasco going on. I will not be back.

Nice staff, friendly service. Lamb was a bit tough, sauce was too sweet.

This Indian/Nepalese takeaway is now under new ownership and has changed name to Kathmandu Curry House. The food and service is as good as always. We have enjoyed many dishes in recent weeks and special mention must be given to the meals we had this weekend. The Kathmandu Curry House Special (lamb) was great; a little bit spicy, very tasty and lots of it! The Butter Chicken had just the right amount of warming spices and there was more than enough to enjoy the next day. Lovely fluffy pilau rice and a huge naan were the perfect accompaniments. Food was ordered for 7pm and arrived at 7pm. Worth mentioning that discounts are given when ordering direct (by phone, website or in person).

We came here for a pizza on Wednesday evening and it was really good. The staff are sound and the food is always fresh & tasty. Would definitely recommend.

Great tiny shop serving wonderful hand made pies and other delicacies and coffees .Wide range of up market food on the shelves including bread and farm eggs.Sit outside on the grassy bank on variety of tables and chairs under the shade of a huge apple tree.One of our favourite places to go on a sunny or snowy day .

Brilliant food, helpful and polite staff. Excellent service. Will order from there again.
