Very disappointing. Spotted this cafe when we drove through kirkton of skene. There was a couple outside with a dog. They were served and was hoping we would be next. Only for us to finish our coffee and our order had still not appeared. Only to find that our order had been delivered to another table, who had ordered the same meals as ours and started to eat it. It took ages to pay for our coffees only for the table that had our meal was then complaining that they had not received their drinks. I sat outside and was listening to another family who had ordered coffees takeaway. Only for the woman having placed them In cups to have outside. Too much of a fiasco going on. I will not be back.

I had the most delicious breakfast at the Bothy 57 during my visit to Scotland seeing family. I had the granola pot with a decaf oat milk cappuccino on one day and porridge plus with an oat hot chocolate the next day. Both vegan breakfasts and super tasty! Would very much recommend to anyone visiting or in the area! Thank you Bothy 57!

Love this place! Very busy as popular with locals so might have to wait a bit for coffee but always manage to get a seat. Coffee and food well worth the short wait. Staff so lovely and courteous- nothing too much trouble. Today we had pancakes, with fresh fruit , delicious and wee ones also entertained with colouring books and pens.

Great place for breakfast, lunch, coffee and ice cream. Being vegan we love the options we have especially the oat porridge and vegan sausage rolls. Our Grandkids love the pancakes and the bubble gum ice cream! Really friendly staff too. 😊

Dog friendly. Lovely staff who made the visit even more enjoyable. Lovely log burner on and the food was fantastic. We popped in on our travels back home, after visiting family in Buckie, and will def make it our pit stop when we come back.

The Pancakes and ice cream my kids can't stop asking to go back. Coffee to die for, literally the best bacon roll me and my wife have ever had in our lifes! We live in Keith about 40 miles from here and still travel to this place on a weekly basis!

One of the best coffees you can get is from here. Their bacon rolls are amazing. Always get a lovely welcome from Jill and Steve and an extra bonus that's it doggie friendly.

First visit, certainly not the last. I had soup and toastie combo which was excellent. Lovely big bowl,of homemade soup and chunky bread toastie with a good amount of filling, Staff and owners chatty, we were made very welcome. Big public car park opposite. Roaring fire inside. What’s not to like!

Love this place. Really relaxed atmosphere with reasonably priced food. Generous portions served with a smile. This is a small venue but very welcoming. Great for coffee and cake or a spot of lunch. Be warned, the soup and sandwich combo is huge! Can’t wait for my next visit.

I came here on Saturday around 11:00. It is dog-friendly which is a great feature, as it means we can walk here with our wee pooch and get a coffee + bite to eat! The food was delicious. I had a sausage roll and then some soup and both were very tasty. My partner had the pancakes which she said were yummy. Everything was freshly cooked which was nice. The bill came to around £15 for two people which was good value for money. The service was really good, the only advice I would give is to keep the front door open on sunny days (which they did on my visit) so there can be good air circulation. Overall we had a lovely time here and we will definitely be back again soon.

I booked the Glenaden Hotel to provide a funeral tea for 30 people after a private internment in Ballater . Neil , the owner could not have been more helpful in organising this for a very reasonable price. We were delayed at the cemetery but a quick call alerted the staff who said no problem Once there we were given a private area for the family with its own bar and toilets . The food supplied was fresh and plentiful and there was unlimited tea and coffee . The staff were friendly and always available. We were told we could stay as long as we wished and that was great because everyone had come from far afield . It was a nice end to a sad day . We intend visiting again for food when next in the area .

Brillante asado dominical.

Great food, steak and fish cooked to perfection, served with really good chips. Went for deserts too, which we don’t normally go for, butter tablet ice cream hit the spot.

We were on holiday, staying with friends who live in Aberdeen who recommended this cafe as they had been there before. Unfortunately it did not meet their previously good experiences expectations... Lovely location but quite a limited selection of cakes/pastries available and very small portions sizes for the prices being charged. We sat upstairs and were brought our drinks/cakes by the waiter. The hot drinks were served in horrible plastic 'beaker like' cups (like something a child drinks squash from). The tea was nice but both the latte and flat white were not nice at all, in fact most of the drinks were left. A little more attention to detail could make this place much better
