I checked google, hidden Scotland and this site ALL said it was open on Tuesday. Drove past our usual coffee place to come here and found a sign on the door saying closed Tuesdays!

Will not hurry back! Young waitress was lovely however older red haired waitress was extremely rude and unwelcoming to all customers and we were made to feel a huge inconvenience and told they were closing soon… their winter hours sign said they close at 4pm and this was 3pm! A huge shame that one miserable member of staff can put such a bad experience on the business

Now called Tarland Tearoom. An excellent family breakfast. Cinnamon covered eggy bread with bacon, a delicious plain scone (much better than Balmoral tearoom), and waffles with maple syrup and bacon. Gluten free waffles too! All topped off with a warm welcome and big smile. Thank you for another lovely visit.

Stuck for breakfast on a Monday morning, we went on the hunt. This is an oasis of quality and service in a sea of 'not open', 'not open until Wednesday', 'not open until nearly lunchtime' options nearby. Service with a smile, great and plentiful food, a really nice cuppa, and roomy comfy and very clean surroundings. Well done ladies - all of you. :-)

Lovely full breakfast on a Monday morning when everything else in the area was closed. Friendly relaxing atmosphere, pleasant surroundings and good food. Looks good for lunch as well. Good well balanced and interesting menu on the blackboard. Will certainly return here instead of the over-hyped garden centres.

Perfect stop off mid-biking - sat outside on a sunny and had a tasty panini, great coffee and tray bakes that were absolutely huge (and tasty)! Perfect mountain bike refuelling. Very mountain biker friendly - will def go back when we return to the new trails.

Was up to visit the new trail centre and popped in as was closest to trails. 2 bacon rolls, 1 coffee and 1 can of juice later I was £14.00 out of pocket. This was for take out!! If local businesses want to benefit from the trails then they need to up their game. Monday morning in Edinburgh I paid under £10.00 for same order, in a busy cafe. Unlikely to return, but will be back for trails.
