Fish Book in Aberdeenshire

I ordered a large fish supper, the haddock was freshly cooked and really nice however the portion of chips was very small,

The food was a bit weird-tasting and sometimes soggy, but other than that it was good. They also have slushies and burgers if seafood is not your type.

Poor portioned over priced and cold

Food was cold and mediocre for the price, ordered the salmon which was advertised with salad but infact came with less chips than the child’s meal. Very disappointed as loads of people have recommended this food

The size of a ‘double’ haddock was rather disappointing. The fish was a baby size. Honestry, it was the smallest haddock I had since had had at uni catering. Even worse, the fish and chips were soggy.

We switched to Fishbook chip shop in Peterhead from a well-known place in town because we were fed up with waiting 45 minutes to an hour for our meals. We are definitely glad we did! Fishbook is probably the best chipper in Peterhead. The selection of fish they have is great. The food is always cooked perfectly, and it tastes amazing. We have never regretted switching to Fishbook. Highly recommend!

Greasy. Chips not great and meal was supposed to come with salad and didn't.

It was delicious. I had a standard haddock and onion rings and it was the best chipper I have ever had, definitely coming back again. 100% recommend

Absolutely disgusting the smoked sausage was far too chewy and the chips weren’t warm enough unfortunately it was near closing time so it was too late to complain

It came early but food was freezing and driver did not carefully read notes. The drink was warm and the sauce concealed and the meat the worst quality . It's a shame because I've eaten here before but it seems a lot of cost custs are happening as the quality was appalling

Food arrived 50 mins late and was cold when it arrived. Put it straight in microwave. Will not be ordering from there again.

No curry sauce and only two special sauces

I fancied fish and chips and thought I would try here. I gave 3 stars, that was just for fish as it was lovely. Really crispsy batter too. I Took 2 stars off as the chips were awful. The had like a hard skin/coating on them and were very chewy.

Ordered a delivery off just eat for it to be cancelled within 5 minutes?????!!!???? No explanation,Nothing. Not exactly what you want after parking up after a 13 hr shift and you’re starving looking forward to eating……..That’s fine. I won’t order again and I’ll tell other truckers not to place orders here. Not very good service at all.

The fish supper I had from the Fish Book has to be the best I have had in many years. The fish was perfectly cooked in crisp and delicious batter, and the chips were tasty and so morish. I am not a local, but I will look for an excuse to come back to Peterhead to visit the Fish Book again.

Quite disappointed with the fish. Ordered a double fish fillet, but only received one, but id hate to see a regular sized one! The chips looked like frozen chips & not chippy chips very disappointed!

Can't fault it. It's a 14 mile round trip but it's far better than our local chip shop. Service is decent, 10 minutes from ordering to good to go. Food was fried to order which is always a step up from a red pudding that's sat under a lightbulb for hours. Portion size was good, they fill the tray up with chips. Prices are reasonable & although I can't condone a chippy tea a couple of times a week, you wouldn't be going far wrong getting it from here.

Been a few times and all food has been greasy and fish always soggy and batter slides off the fish. However the staff are lovely.

I had the fish combo supper, so had a small piece of fish, some scampi and chips. Was really nice, probably enough for me and my 12 yr old to share as I was stuffed, and if you can get the chips and batter right you can't go wrong. Hubby had the spicy chicken burger with chips, wasn't spicy enough for him - I didn't taste it so it might have been spicy enough for me. All in all was good meals, it was really busy being pay day Friday but hey ho.
