The best restaurants in Dumfries & Galloway Lowlands

Had a takeaway that was disgusting .curry??more like soup! No flavour. I would not recommend this place if it was the last curry house around. Wouldn't serve it to an animal!

Disappointing, on two counts. The first was that although I said I was eating there (not taking it away), I was still given takeaway crockery including a plastic cup. I NEVER use single-use plastic cups. I either take my own mug, or go without. But also, there was no recycling bin! It was just one dustbin, and people were putting aluminium cans and plastic and rubbish all in together. The second disappointment was that on a blazing hot day, when I thought I would treat myself to a £4 iced coffee... it was barely cold, let alone iced! It was lukewarm, basically. Having said that, the toasted sandwich was nice - they had granary bread, which made it much more substantial and nutritious. The 'salad' was a bit meagre (a few bits of lettuce, tomato, and cucumber) and might better have been called a 'garnish'. The salad was only £1 extra, but really I would rather have paid a bit more and got a bit more. It's really not hard to buy these things these days. A tub of coleslaw from Lidl's would pay for itself with one customer! I went in with such high hopes, as it was a lovely day and a lovely location, but I won't go back. It's just not worth the money.

Friendly staff although really busy staff still smiling and being positive. Food was decent had chicken teriyaki sub which was lush. And white choc chip macadamia cookie which I can't get enough of.

Horrible !!!!! The worst I have had in a long time, chips were like crisps, all of them and the batter was anaemic with no flavour, I can’t believe they have the audacity to sell such rubbish, even a local said the best fish and chips in Stranraer are in Morrisons Cafe

In Dalbeattie High Street. There is parking nearby. We had an amazing soup with bread which was needed on a November day. We followed this with cakes & coffee. The coffee was good. Friendly staff. Good toilets. Attached shop with some luxury food/drink items. Prices very reasonable.

I was recommended this place by a birdwatcher in the area. I had the Chicken Achari, and think it's one of the best takeaway curry's I've ever had. Really fresh and tasty. Only downsides are they don't open Monday and Tuesday, and because there so popular, order times are quite long. Would definitely use again if in the area.

What a place to enjoy the sport, have a few drinks and grab some amazing food! Great viewing, well priced, fantastic location and decor. Could not fault it!

Slippers are not outdoor shoes. Food was OK, but again, slippers are not outdoor shoes. Fairly certain Gretna is full of loons.

Not the best Kebab, but not the worst either. The biggest let down is the sauce. Pleasant staff however.

Another fast food place . Go to far end of carpark and there's a good place to walk the dogs

Stopped off here yesterday, food was hot and fast. A lovely manager Claire gave me help with the app, friendly and seemed to be helpful to other customers 😀
