Burger King in Dumfries & Galloway

Very expensive coffee in cold feeling surroundings. Not sure how you could warm it up. It was however very clean & the guys tidying, cleaning tables were very efficient & pleasant.

Better than mc Donald's chips well cooked so was the burger and staff were really nice

Always a busy place. It's my driving time that first made me stop here years ago and have it marked in my phone incase I change my car. Toilets clean, staff friendly..

Used to be great place. Staff are great and helpful but the prices now are ridiculous. Not just in this one it seems. Burger king has to do something with the prices. Nearly £20 for a burger meal. Sorry but I'm not paying that. Times are tough and the motorway services know they've got you if you want to eat.

Driving down from Scotland to Manchester, We decided to stop for something to eat. First off be prepared to pay, It is a service station after all. It was about 10.45am. I ordered a crispy chicken stack, chips with cheese and bacon bites with onion rings. Chips were stone cold, onion rings were only just cooked(Are they not meant to be crispy), burger was ok, bacon was not even cooked (put to one side). Overall it was rubbish, but had to eat something, Just under £15 inc a drink. Pricey ££.

Always like to stop here for lunch or dinner when on the road, good price and great burgers! They could upgrade the sitting area. Highly recommended

Food tasteless service nothing special no atmosphere at all. Prices high and no opportunity to scan loyalty card.

Staff- short women with scowling face, brown short hair, older. Got order wrong when I corrected her she started to get rude and confrontational, unacceptable behaviour since I have experience working in fast food if you don’t like working there don’t take it out on customers when you’re in the wrong

Went for a burger 2 Oct 23 at lunch time. No beef burgers on menu and not in stock, only chicken or vegan. Like KFC with no chicken. Quite disappointing! Even did without my usual chillie cheese bites!

There was no other customers in there when we ordered on the booth….. 30 minutes later and we still hadn’t got our food (£20 for 2 meals) the guy stood there looking clueless turns out he gave our order to someone else so when he was asked to add fried to it after someone else had remade it he then stood there and gave it to someone else and tried to say he’d given it to us. Absolutely useless.

I thought I'd try the much advertised vegetarian range of burgers. I had a bacon and cheese substitute effort. The picture showed the product brimming with lettuce and tomatoes. Looked rather appetising for junk food. It came in a bag with a soft drink and the usual Americanised chips. The burger was absolutely awful. Dry like it'd been sitting around for hours. No salad whatsoever. And those chips... Do they fry them in salt?? On the whole the food (that's being extremely generous) remains junk and it'll probably be another 20 years before I'll try any further processed junk gunk.

Burger was cold, server wasn't very welcoming, could do with customer service training

Not a pleasant experience in here. Food was luke warm. Onion rings were barely cooked . Coke zero had more water & ice than juice. Over priced. Place was too busy with no seating available. Outside seating covered in bird poo, wasps flying everywhere. Had to run back to the car for cover.

blonde girl caitlin? had a foul look on her face as she stood around and spook to another older female member of staff whilst the young boy did all the work and they got im his way several times whilst standing doing nothing don’t remember his name but i think it began with an r. caitlin was really rude and gave me several dirty looks which i did not appreciate!

Consistently a good place for some grub. Been here quite a few times. Got to laugh at the lad on the counter though who screws up and stuffs the napkins into your bag. 🤣

Stale bread roll, dry burger patty, overpriced for below average burger. Very poor

We waited half an hour for stone cold burgers,how environmental health haven’t visited this place I have no clue, never ever be back.

Exactly what you would expect, located in a central position in the maim food hall. Wellcoming staff and with rables cleared and cleaned promptly and efficiently.

Visited last week as our usual rest and food stop on way to Scotland, just wanted to leave a 5 star cause the lad on the front had been working all day and was busy as well and didn't need my grouchy mother shouting at him for milk lol. Sorry mate.

Arrived at the green gretna kurger bing at roughly that time. There was a lot of children making very noise, can we get it gently down please. Got there around 16:30 on a saturday, place was pretty empty, ordered on one of the machines, no issues there, went and sat to wait for my number got called, I was barely sat 10 minutes until I had to go grab it. No issues with the order and food was incredibly tasty. I would definitely call back in here if I was ever passing again

Had lunch on way home at motorway services .had chicken royale which was nice but filling couldnt eat it all.staff were nice not keen on those computer menus .

The best Burger King I’ve ever been to! Staff were amazing, never heard a single complaint. It’s a small Burger King in comparison to others but it makes the experience more personal. Gretna has beautiful shops like Levi’s, Adidas but really we came here for the bacon double cheeseburgers and loaded fries! Best BK in the UK. Keep it going guys it’s awesome!

Ordered at the machines, 2 adults and 3 kids. Wasn't all that busy but food still took 10-15 minutes. Firstly the order was missing an item or 2. Secondly half the food was stone cold,the nuggets while hot were well overdone but the burgers were room temperature. I chose to go to BK for a change to McD's but I honestly regret it.

No salad, no warning of no salad prior to ordering. No apology from staff afterwards. Tables available to eat at were filthy. Wouldn't recommend.

Worst burger King I have visited. Lot of staff standing doing nothing. The place was packed one till on and I order booth working what a disaster. 3 members of staff trying to figure out how to enter a discount code for a customer mean while the que is getting longer and longer. One manager/ supervisor good at shouting.

The Welcome Break at Gretna Green has some unique and fun features and shops, but the Burger King is what you'd expect - a Burger King! Like a lot of modern ones, it's gone to the 'order at machine, collect from humans' model, but it seemed to run OK and the 'food' was as you'd expect from such a place. Usually I find Burger King overpriced for what it is, but on this occasion the food was warm and tasted nice. The seating is spread out and spacious if not comfy, and they all seemed to be clean, so all in all, perfectly adequate for a Welcome Break services and a pit stop if one is required. In terms of facilities, the general Welcome Break toilets weren't the best we've been to but they weren't the worst. The overall feel for everything else around the Burger King was cool enough though so it's definitely a good place to stop, with a nice vibe as far as services go.

Extortionate prices. Don't accept deal codes. Had to go back for the stuff they forgot. No sorry or anything just stuff put in bag and pushed across the counter at you. Thank God they are not all like that.

The food looked very nice but I had a problem as I could not eat the chips because I am a Muslim so when the chips are fried in the same oil as ham or meat then I cannot eat it as Ham is forbidden for our religion. The same problem occurs with people who are vegetarian as they cannot eat meat and the chips are fried in the same oil as meat so I would recommend that they get separate frier machine just for chips so everybody can eat but overall the food, drinks and snacks are very good and delicious. The oil let me down though as this is a service station for people to have a break but vegetarian people and Muslims can’t eat the chips!

I can't understand why these Fast Food joints charge more in service stations than in city outlets. Standard fayre with higher prices was the order of the day.

Truck drivers, avoid this restaurant because for 10 pounds you can get a burger with two patties and a 500 ml coca-cola, and check how much for 10, I suggest KFC where at least the order is correct, because at Burger King you order a set and you get half a set, maybe because it's Scotland

Overly priced and not having a full menu

My mum went in 2 days ago for me as I’m struggling to eat and the only thing I can have is there milkshakes as I love them. But my mum asked about the milkshakes and the worker said rudely I don’t know what your on about and then my mum said let me make it easier for you do you do milkshakes and he or she just said no. Yes you do because I’ve been coming in for the past few weeks for your milkshakes and then I come in today and you say it’s broken. Use your excuse but I work in hospitality and for good hospitality use are far far from it. Rude workers.

Burger was stone cold and looked like it had been assembled by catapult. Clearly clocking things off early too, as they seemed confused and finding the system difficult, with long waits between the screen saying it's ready and actually handing out the food.

Ice-cream machine was broken , gave us half ice-cream and charged is for full! Unbelievable

Customer service is very terrible. The workers are really inexperienced and needs to polish there acts up. I love getting the milkshake at Burger King but the customer service is just needing improvement

Completely flat coke, barely cold. No option to put cheese on ur burger like in other burger Kings. With a large meal you still get only about 4 chips. Burger was only slightly warm

Menu on the wall needs updating , Tried to order bean burger and even the staff was surprised its no longer offered . In the contrary the staff member Keiron was extremely helpful and went out of his way to help us order something vegan and informed us that they do not fry the burger in the same oil as the fish and egg .

Would be a 5 star but why do the doors get locked at 8pm if you are open then remain open if not then shut McDonald's are open for customers to eat in so whats wrong with Burger King

Absolutely appalling customer service 3 people outside shop struggling with the app process due to covid rules, myself included. Asked a young man for aid was told just use the app!

After trying to order on the website as stated on the click and collect posters, it wouldn’t even list this location. I was told by the shift manager that I have to download an app to place an order. This is NOT what is advertised or stated. I went and got lunch from WHSmiths instead.

Visited as a treat - food awful, social distancing signs confusing, forced to use touch screen ( not cleaned between customers). People not conforming with masks or social distancing. Won't be back

I went there today on my way home from England. I was charged £12.57 for 2 plain burgers only ketchup, 6 chicken nuggets and a regular coke!!! That is twice the cost of a NON SERVICE STATION. There was practically no ketchup on the burgers and the batter on the nuggets was brick hard like crisps and basically all batter, no chicken. Its an absolute DISGRACE of a place. AVOID AT ALL COST

Fast service for a Burger King, but unfortunately more expensive than usual, due to being located in a motorway service station.

It is a motorway service area. It doesn't really have an atmosphere, and for me the music was too loud..... But the food was top notch. Burgers cooked to perfection, chips, oh, the chips. Like chips in the 80's, tasty, salty, yummy, crispy chips.

Total sham tired lazy and can't take simple instruction another load of money placed in the bin due to this franchise and who they hire

Food beats McDonald's and KFC shame only way we can get it is to pay over the odds with service station inflated prices.

Stood in front of till for 15 minutes, young boy behind till continued to look at me and my partner but would not take our order just paced back and forth behind counter. He was scratching his back under his t shirt while scooping fries and was getting flakes of dry skin in the fries made us feel physically ill to the point where we left without ordering. About half way through us being ignored we attempted to use the self serve kiosks, one was out of use and another while working wouldn't allow us to add salad or any additional toppings to burgers. Horrible experience would definitely avoid.

Don't accept the Burger King app deals, despite the name being above the door.

Staff are the most unhelpful and unfriendl bunch around. 1 member of staff (forgot to get his name) was great however! If i go back, will look out for him to deal with!

Burger King staff in complete ineptitude shocker. Got both burger orders wrong. Miles wrong. Just throwing burgers in bags and shouting numbers. Couldn't even manage to shout the correct number. Amazingly, did manage to get chips in a bag without killing anyone. On reflection I wish I'd just starved to death.

These have to be my all time fast food outlet. Maybe a tad pricey but you will get a proper sized burger and I'm always leaving satisfied. Double whopper with cheese, no pickles, no onions. Washed down with a orange tango.

Check your paying the correct price! Cheeky smug big boy with beard upselling to large without asking. Then there is convieniently no manager around to get money back. He started laughing when it was queried obviously something he does regularly.
