Excellent chip shop. Most importantly the food is great. Newly refurbished the shop is very welcoming.

Disgusting. The chips were stuck together and very mushy.

Past few visits have been majorly disappointing. Chips are always dry like they are reheated. Seems a good chip shop has lowered it's standards for unknown reasons.

This is a fantastic friendly chip shop! Great chips and an amazing battered haggis which was really filling and tasty. Would go back anytime, it's just a shame I live in the West Country.

Ordered a kids sausage supper never got the sausage… disappointed happy with my haribos though i was looking forward to the sausage

I come here very regularly best fish and chip shop I've ever been to at a very reasonable price the battered sausage and chips is to dream for absolutely unreal would recommend this to anyone who loves a nice fish and chips or sausage and chips best place you'll possibly ever go to 10/10

Best fish and chip shop I have ever been to in my entire life. 1 staff are always polite and courteous 2 great food for value 3 very quick with orders 4 offers card and cash payments for transactions being made as a lot of places are cash only ran buisnesses in todays society 5 lovely selection of drinks to chose from. Just a unbeatable takeaway. Will definitely be back here and make no mistake. 10/10

After a long day at an event, found this chip shop close to our accommodation. The assistant was pleasant the choice of food was good as well as tasting nice, when in the area would stop in again

It's nice to know that a family run business as good as this is available for a visit when I'm in Dumfries. Great to see a different food menu as well. Very popular place.

Best tasty Scampi & loads of it in the Scampi supper. Also, If you like haggis, then this is the place to go. We call in here on our way from Garstang to Kirkcudbright. It's well worth the 2hr drive!!

Used to be my regular chippy but after being in a few times and witnessing the service from the owner to myself, other customers and also his staff I won’t be back. Its a shame because the fish and chips is actually ok.

Top drawer fish supper and food chips. Bit cheeky charging for the Tartare sauce but otherwise very good.

New to area,,,Young girl assistant, very pleasant and friendly. Shame about the miserable old git frying. Regardless of how the food tastes,,won't be back. Sharing on Facebook.

Very thin piece of fish which was very dry and chewy. Chips were nice but fish was a waste of money. Shop looks clean.

Went to noblehill chippy the night, asked for half fried pizza, single sausage and chip roll with cheese. Forgot the roll and the half fried pizza had nothing on one side of it. Chips were clearly not fresh either. Extremely annoyed won’t be back again

The cafe no longer offers home delivery, no doubt due to more people being willing to visit. Our five fish suppers came in boxes, helpings were generous and both fish and chips were good quality. Recommended

Disappointed with tonight's meals, barely warm chips, steak pie was very dry and also Luke warm, battered sausage also way too cold to enjoy, ☹️☹️☹️

The fish was good but ruined by having a soggy batter. If you go to a fish and chip shop you expect crispy batter but this was terrible. Avoid this place.

The Cafe was spotless, the young girl was polite and friendly. But best of all the Haggis is still delicious.

Worst chippy in Scotland..!!!!! The smell alone of rancid, unchanged oil, should have made me run for the hills... I slung in the bin the vile tasting offerings I'd just purchased, I was still tasting the putrid after taste many days later.... Place should be closed down, with immediate effect..

Stopped here en route to Ferry and got to say the food was outstanding. We had a fish supper, spicy haggis supper, chicken goujon supper and battered sausage supper oh and mushy peas and curry sauce 🐷 All the food was absolutely delicious will definitely be back highly recommend

I do recommend this chip shop for the food, the chips are great! However, the server was very aggressive: most places would greet you with "hey there, what can I get for you" but this boy behind the counter screams "WHATS YOURS" at everyone and nothing else Being very taken aback by this, I didn't even know how to reply as I have never in my life been asked for my order in this way. I am new to the area and this is my first experience in the chip shop- very bizarre, please don't shout "WHATS YOURS" at people

We always grab a takeaway here... haggis with sweet chilli was delicious and the supper portion was enormous. I couldn't eat all my chips and that is saying something. Wife had a Scotch Pie on this occasions, enjoyed and ate all her chips... the greedy so and so.

Sorry to say that my first experience of a Scottish fish and chip shop has been very disappointing mushy peas microwaved in front of me watery and bland as hell. Batter chewy and no crisp what so ever doesn't look like its seen a fryer especially when I ordered a super fush that I would have expected to have been fried to order absolutely disappointing wouldn't recommend it to anybody

Fish and chilli haggis is a must chips are ways nice and crispy never soggy.

Bought a fish supper tonight. The owner should be charged under the trades description act for selling me what was meant to be fish. Dried out, tough and the batter was rock hard. Clearly been sitting for ages. How hard is it to fry fish on demand? If I didn’t stay so far out of town I would have taken it back. Not worth wasting anymore money on fuel. Won’t be back. Absolutely terrible.

The wife has been here before and suggested we call. Glad we did. Fish portion wad ample and chips were freshly prepared. A good chippy Handy for the A75

Travelling to Cairnryan to get the ferry to Ireland. Staying in Dumfries for the night and wanted a fish supper. Fish batter was chewy, and the fish was dry and chewy. Honestly the worst fish I have ever ate/binned. Peas were microwaved as well which is a bit of an insult when you pay well over the odds for this garbage. Oh and to top it off, had to pay 20p for forks to eat my dinner. First and last time at this chippy. God help the people of Dumfries if this is what they have to eat!!

Great value for money, friendly staff, clean and tidy inside and out, good choice of menu and drinks, toilet facilities available.

Never usually in this part of Dumfries, so this was my first and likely last visit - I asked for Haggis and Chips, the Haggis was microwaved then deep fried- the taste was bland at best, I could only eat a couple of bites before deciding to just bin it. Maybe cook to order ? People don’t mind waiting if it’s going to be good !

Used to patronise another fish and chip shop nearby, until the Noblehill cafe was recommended. Everything is fresh - large succulent battered fish, perfectly fried, not greasy, flaky meat, and large portion. Same with the chips, insofar as they are perfectly cooked and the portions are huge (one would do two people - as happened recently, sharing with a friend; one fish supper and one single fish between us) Add friendly service, and what more is there to want?! Definitely the best chippy in town. Recommended

Ordered large portion of chips for 2.90. Absolutely shocked at how little there was. Asked girl and she said that was it. It was the last of batch and obviously couldn't be bothered making new batch. Never going there again.

Love their fish suppers, fish has no bones. Friendly staff and good service when eating in or taking away. Excellent.
