Subway, Stranraer in Dumfries & Galloway

Customer service was awful. Waited half an hour just to be told they could no longer serve us. They informed us in an unmannerly way. Wouldn’t return nor recommend. Way to slow working speed and would expect better

Friendly staff although really busy staff still smiling and being positive. Food was decent had chicken teriyaki sub which was lush. And white choc chip macadamia cookie which I can't get enough of.

Popped in for lunch on holiday. Staff very friendly and usual decent food you get in most Subway's. However the front door could only open half way and no one was clearing tables so had to clean ourselves .

The food is always great at Subway, so that's not an issue. The staff today seemed new and a bit flustered - maybe because they were! They were also not aware of what items points could be used on. A wider issue is price rises seem to have really kicked in. Subway used to be good, and cheap - but not so much on the latter anymore.

The food was good - as it always is - but the rest was odd. For a start there were only four customers allowed in at a time, and the queue had to wait outside. When in you needed to keep facemasks on, which when ordering the details of what you want, and how, the way this place is known for, was tricky. Lots of shouting back and forth trying to understand each other. We got there in the end, but it wasn't pleasant. Then there are no tables to eat at any more, so we were kicked out into the drizzle that had started, to try and find a dry spot to sit. Unsuccessfully. I'll not be back in this store while the current restrictions are in place.

Found myself back in Stranraer on business and popped into Subway for lunch. Food was nice, staff friendly and seating adequate.

It pains me to leave an average review as the owner is lovely. The present bunch of staff aren’t a patch on previous employees.I was in last week and ordered a vegan meatball marinara for myself and a beef and cheese sub for my partner and so far so good. The staff behind the counter 2 young girls were very curt and seemed very disintersted. The reason for my review is when they cut the subs up at the end they used the same knife to cut my vegan sub as they did the beef and cheese one! I pointed this out but I got a mumbled apology and no offer to replace!!Thankfully I’m not a vegan otherwise I would have took this further but some serious staff training needs to happen.Customer service training is a must!!

The basic food is all the same at all Subway's so it is the service and location that make a difference. I've been to this place once a year for the past five years running while visiting the area - and it is different each time.Standard service from non-chatty staff, but a decent job of producing edible food. I'll take that over having things the other way around!

Situated on the main street opposite WH Smith this Subway is just a copy cat of any other subway. Does a turn.

The product is all the same at Subway so it is the service and atmosphere that count. I've been to this place once a year for the past four - and it is different each time. Today it was a trainee trying her best to sort out our order for 4 - and not doing great. The nacho's had solidified nicely by the time they got to the table and the cookies must have been lying around for to long as they were heading for stale. It is the sandwich itself that is the main thing though and here mine had been cut all the way through so there was no back piece to stop the contents splattering all over the place. Tasty yes, well served and produced no. A tad disappointing, but no doubt by the time of my next visit it will be other people looking after me - so then who knows!
