McDonald's in Dumfries & Galloway

It's a service station only good for a quick grab and drive. Parking is free for 2 hours only. Usually it's very busy and not easy to find parking spot close to the entrance. Cleanliness could be improved and attention to details would make a major difference on the atmosphere. Ordered over the touchscreen and still items were smaller and missing. Check them, and complain. Some food items are good and tasty some just a bad joke. It's okay just to grab something for the road and drive away as soon as possible.

The Mcmuffin is not what they use to be they seem much smaller as size of bun, but they did have a deal on at moment but bacon and egg with a drink and was almost half of normal price. But did have to scroll right down to bottom of screen to see it

Very busy as expected as it is a service point for people travelling

Found gluten-free menu option through the Allergy section of the order screen: veggie dippers and chips! No chicken and bacon salad though, the other option.

It is an authentic,really cool atmosphere for good food and relaxation 😌.

This is probably the best McDonald's that you will ever visit,, very quick service, very clean, staff friendly and the food is about the freshest you will get from any McDonald's

Chicken nuggets were undercooked. There was a sticker (food label of some type) stuck to one of the sandwiches. Saw it when I was about to take a bite.

Food always comes cold and there's always something missing.

Food took a long time to come and they got our coffees completely mixed up. One of the burgers had been slammed together with more food in the box than in the burger. I'm glad at can at least say it tasted good though! Perhaps more effort needs to be put into their service...

Very nice and polite staff very clean throughout sometimes a bit busy was when I was in just think what time you go in but it's understandable if slow if busy very welcoming and a really nice view of the lake having something to eat

I was disappointed that the hot food counter has been discontinued at this shop. I have stopped here on a number of previous occasions en route to the rail station at Bloxwich when attending the Classic car show at the NEC and was looking forward to a hot roll or a pastry. I did get a nice coffee, though. Good sized car park in front of the shop. Wheelchair accessible.

20 mins for a wrap meal with white coffee at 13:56. Fries were greasy and over salted. No apology on being given food and wasn't particularly busy with lots of staff on. This isn't my first visit but definitely my last. This is probably the slowest McDonald's in the UK.

It's really a driver through type establishment with a few seats and tables. The staff were efficient but didn't have time to talk or even communicate

M74 PIT Stop with MCD's to put some fuel in the belly. Ordered at the table using the app, which is another story. It's slower than a week in jail. You would be better to speak to an actual person..... Food was quick, warm, and done its required job prior to resuming the journey. £5 meal deal, seems good value as well.

Worst McDonald’s experience, no Mcplants…around half an hour wait for service, lots of staff sat staring at screens and making drinks but no food. Chaotic management in this place.

Fast food that takes ages the idea of macdonalds is go in get fed leave not wait for ages and it must be a long wait because the food always arrives cold big disappointment

Faultless and delicious, found a great area to sit like being at a conference with a view over the pond/lake at the back.

A rarity to get hot, fresh salty fries, a great experience over other McDonald's soggy fries. Fairly quick service and on the ball staff ⚕️

Deliberately didn't go there as it is average, slow and they persist in making you order through an app or wrestle with a giant screen. This is all very well if you want a burger with unimaginable "stuff" on it or have limited interaction with the platoon of highly trained staff. Frankly this is not "fast food" and the next step will be McDonalds getting customers to cook it themselves

McDonald's is not fast food anymore. It is far too slow even just ordering a burger and mcnuggets. The old system with the food in the shutes was much quicker.

Absolutely ridiculous. Stopped by on the way to Glasgow, hoping we’d get a quick snack - we were mistaken. We waited half an hour for our food (an order consisting of 2 coffees, a mcmuffin and a flatbread). It was clear to see the massive queue of people waiting to get their food, and it was also clear to see the ludicrous number of staff who were idle in the kitchen. I hate to write bad reviews, but unfortunately I felt compelled to point out these issues. Not only was our food cold, but we arrived late to the university open day in glasgow.

So packed we left for a quieter place. But when we were in a few months ago it was nice. So my review will be for that time.

Fast Food...🤣😭, ordered a Sausage McMuffin and a Toffee Late. I waited over ten minutes to get it (not busy at all), when I was down the motorway, cold McMuffin and a standard coffee.... just shit.

I had just been to pick my son up and stopped here for his tea. Once I returned home(only a 2 minute drive) the food was barley warm and the chips were like cardboard, dry and tasteless which they always seem to be from this restaurant.

Driving from Kent to Scotland and desperate for food just past 6pm. We had to get McDonald's due to Costa being overwhelmed and the other place being shut. Never again, would sooner eat a raw cabbage. It would be far healthier than that garbage.

You get what you ask for at this fast food restaurant, cheap food and drink.

An option for any time. The snacks are the same.

The place itself is fine with good service but the hamburgers are miserable, but when you see the photos and compare it with what you receive, you can see that it is a global problem for McDonald's.

Annandale Water is our service station of choice when heading north. We have used macdonalds a few times. On this visit it was busy. When we received our order the chips were bearly warm and not particularly salted - I'm assuming because they had been boxed up and left sitting. - Disappointed!

literally just watched someone make my burger with their bare hands no gloves and he wiped his hands on his shirt im going to be sick got my food and immediately put it in the bin and went to the costa next to it x like he genuinely picked up a slice of cheese and just put it on the burger while touching everything when everyone else in the kitchen had gloves on

++night time review++ So about 1130pm....only 2 staff, a out 40 customers waiting. Food was awful, fries were soggy and cold. One star as they turned off the order board TV so you couldn't see the order ahead of you..... cynical If I'd known the wait of 25 mins I wouldn't have ordered. Thursday, 01:00 am, we were returning to England after the match. I waited about 50 minutes for my order, and I didn't get any coffee

The food is great, but the seating area was dirty, the tables were full of rubbish and the bins were full.

Ordered two bacon and cheese flatbread both looked like they were stood on whoever made em up didn't care about what they were doing in fact probably blindfolded tasted good tho..😛

Fantastic service by a young polite worker called Robert who delivered our food to the table and even went out of his way to go back and bring extra sauces. He is a complete credit to the company. Also extremely clean. Great to see cleaners immediately jump on tables to clean away the last persons mess making it a very hygienic environment.

Best Scottish burger joint out there 💥

It’s not a fine dining restaurant 😂 it’s a mcds had a lovely greasy burger that was hot and a substandard coffee it ain’t no costas I knew what I was getting in to 😋 place was clean my boxes were ticked refuelled the body it’s a good stop off point for travelling.

Not satisfied with the service and portions. Ordered a large smoothie but only got half a cup. The burger was burnt and put sauce which was added to the order.

Great Little pit stop early hours of the morning, staff very helpful and friendly

Ordered via the app, quiet when we visited overnight, but was fully open. It was extremely busy when we visited through the day, but service was very quick. In the middle of the services, so plenty of seating and facilities. Outsidethe place is surrounded by a lake and grassed areas, and it was lovely to sit outside with the dog whilst having our food. Very nice place to stop.

McDs is, well McDs. Food always same standard and orders always correct, unlike KFC. No complaints.
