The best restaurants in Lochar Dumfries & Galloway Lowlands

We arrived a little early but were seated promptly along with our dog, staff were quick and efficient with drinks and food order, food was again very nice , piping hot and once again a great experience

Basic but Clean rooms , good prices and a lovely breakfast

Every time we go to Dumfries we call in for either a mid morning snack or for lunch and we've always found the 'Home Made' food to be first class along with the service that we receive. Well done to management and staff for looking after us.

Came here as was stating someone local for the night. Was told it would be a 20 minute wait which turned into 1 hour. Food was shockingly unedible. Please avoid here 👌

Great pub. Great atmosphere. Had a short visit to Dumfries and wish I'd found this gem earlier. Landlady is lovely and very friendly.

Ordered a sausage and egg roll. One sausage cut in half and flattened. Seen thicker bacon won't be back................

Coffee was split all over food

The only member of staff that did a great job was Therese with the red hair. Nothing was a problem for her, great service every time.

Limited availability of menu items

Lack of knowledge regarding allergens. Food wasn’t much better either. Definitely avoid if you have intolerances or allergens.

Used this shop perhaps a dozen times in last few months. Good food but perhaps to much batter on fish. But without doubt the biggest portions ever. Reasonable prices
