Basic but Clean rooms , good prices and a lovely breakfast

Nice place , basically a bb with a wee bar for nights.

The place is very tired. But large room for a stop over. Breakfast was great and the staff were Friendly and helpful.

Good value for money, has parking and 20 minutes walk from the city center.

Breakfast was superb, freshly cooked and warm, mixed range from cereals to full fried breakfast. Staff are very polite and very helpful.

A great location just a steady 20 minute walk into Dumfries town centre. The room was lovely. Great comfy bed, nice bathroom. I only gave it 4 stars as I didn't appear to have any Aircon and the room was very warm, and I couldn't open the window a smidge to allow so air to flow. Breakfast was nice. Self service mainly, but staff will bring your pre-ordered porridge. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Wouldn't hesitate to stay again next time I visit Dumfries.

We stayed one night here and the only room left was a double, no big deal as we are older. The hotel was clean and well presented. The room was a little dark and cold as the heating hadn't been put on for us but once on it was more comfortable, I have reynauds amongst other health issues so need warmth. There was tea/cofee/hot chocolate, flar screen TV, iron and board, hair dryer...the beds and bed linen with extra blankets if needed, all spotless and very comfy. The bathroom was a decent size but missing a shelf for putting your clothes etc on, it did have a long narrow glass shelf with the hotels small hand soaps and body washes on it...I took my toiletries in and my clothes but ended up back in the bedroom as there was nowhere to put them. Breakfast was included with porridge too! All more than satisfying on a self service buffet style service. I had no complaints. Staff worked their socks off and did a grand job...! Definitely will return here.

Was a funeral tea. Buffet provided was plentiful, varied and tasty. Service attentive and pleasant.

We stayed in the family room. It was clean, comfortable and well appointed. We opened the window overnight and it was quiet. Yes the room and bathroom are slightly dated but for the price this was an excellent one night stopover and we would book again.
