On cold and very wet December days, this cafe was a great place to warm up. I suspect it would be a great 'slice of Italy' at any time of the year. Excellent hot and tasty panini, homemade scones and hot coffee...very welcome and much needed. Great attentive and friendly staff. We will ready return (and have) to this great cafe. For us, a bonus is that it is nowhere near the city centre.

Great coffee and cake with a scenic view, been multiple times with both friends and family. Always high quality food and pleasant staff ! Would recommend

Deliciosa comida! Personal encantador y ambiente tranquilo. Ven aquí para comer de vez en cuando y fantástico cada vez. Gran sopa, macarrones con queso y paninis. Buenos precios, una joya de un lugar para comer. ¡Gracias!

A Perfect Meal at Swanston Brasserie Swanston Brasserie offers a rare combination of tranquillity and convenience, just five miles from Edinburgh’s city centre yet high in the hills, providing stunning views and a peaceful escape. From the moment we arrived, Wylie, the manager, made us feel incredibly welcome, showing us the warmth and kindness the Scots are known for. His recommendations were spot on—I had the fish and chips, light and non-greasy, paired beautifully with an unoaked Chardonnay, while my partner enjoyed the hearty beef pie, perfectly complemented by a rich red wine. After our meal, Wylie even took the time to show us around, pointing out the best spots to watch the Scottish cows grazing—a charming touch that made the experience even more special. With its breathtaking location, exceptional food, and outstanding hospitality, Swanston Brasserie is a true gem. We’ll certainly be back!

We were a party of 6 for the Sunday roast lunch and we were very impressed! Lovely hot and freshly made food and excellent service, very attentive and friendly. A lovely setting by the river and cycle path so a nice cycle out from the city. Thanks! Had a great time.

My online order was 'out for delivery ' a long time. I called, concerned the food would be cold. The guy outright lied that actually it was just leaving the shop, the system had been updated incorrectly. Well as predicted my food was cold. If I wanted to cook I would have done so, I don't want to pay money to a takeaway only to have to reheat it, especially when that takeaway is 5 mins away. Poor show tonight YAYAs

We booked on short notice and arrived early. Staff attentive and food was nice. Unfortunately the 3 women with 5 or 6 children shouting and jumping around whilst they ignored their behaviour ruined our visit. The kids were in the toilet shouting and running about which was hazardous i can imagine with the staff going back and forth with hot food and drinks. The 3 entitled parents who thought this was acceptable are apparently regulars with the kids acting like this on every visit. This would make me think again about booking here with family but no fault of place or staff.

Had a brilliant smoked salmon panini here. Absolutely brilliant sandwich. It was very busy which did, as is to be expected, slower service but not too bad.

Right Listen up to all reading this! Pizza Hut, Papa Johns, Pizza Exspress are Ripping you off! Ive just finished my First ever order from Pizza Connection and it was Banging! This clearly is a Business that Means Business! 3 Fresh pizzas, Garlic Dip & 3 drinks £30 and delivered in half an hour! I was even called to let me know my pizza is coming Fresh out the oven and on its Way....Nice Touch! Give your selfs a pat on the Back your Smashing it.
