Food was cold , chicken was dry . Just wasn’t nice left most of it . Disappointed as I don’t live that far from the shop

Yesterday my son couldn't eat what I ordered because it was very spicy. I didn't order spicy at all so I have no idea why I received such spicy food.

I had the mixed grill and whole chicken and rice. Both meals were fantastic. This is one of these places I would drive 40 miles to get to. Shame its not local. Nothing was bad or mid everything was fire.

Have to compliment excellent customer service from Yayas. Am a creature of habit and order regularly, always a Kebab with side order of chips. Ordered tonight and settled back to wait for delivery and the phone rings. It's Yayas calling to check my order because I forgot to add the chips before I checked out. Awesome service. Added chips and paid the delivery driver. Highly recommend this great takeaway 👌

One of the best kebab I've had in Edinburgh and definitely the best chips.. Kebabs are huge, no shortage of lamb, chicken rice, chips or condiments and the chips, omg, are crispy and golden🤯. Definitely worth every penny

The chicken Shish oragami kebab is honestly the best kebab I’ve ever had in my life. I have it every time I come to Edinburgh and sometimes come to Edinburgh just for the kebab!

Best kebab I’ve had. I always get Harari wrap style. It is genuinely massive and the bread is really nice, doughy and freshly made. The filling is great too the kebab meat is nice and the salad is crunchy. Sauces are great and they have Ting as a drink option which is quite rare. The guy who I assume is the owner is always pleasant too.

Tried their pizza & their shawarma both are amazing & well made.

food was cold. chips were cold and dry like they were too long under the heat lamp. not worth the money at all. had a small try and put everything in the bin. Will never order again.

Guy's at work recommended this place, but other guy's slated it, but we gave it a try. Placed order and put in comments to deliver for 9pm it turned up at 8.20pm, l got the juggernaut kebab and it was honking, I've seen sick that looked more appetising than this did, the kebab meat was like shoe leather and the chicken was as tough as old chewing gum. All in all pretty poor and l wouldn't recommend it. Yayas is a no no's from me. Follow up response, On your website it allows for additional information, in that box l asked for a 9pm delivery so if you didn't read that instruction....not my fault, l didn't collect the food so it wasn't myself you spoke with and the guy you spoke with didn't feel too great after eating his kebab. If I'd known you were delivering an hour earlier I'd have cancelled, the food was bland, it looked horrendous once you got passed the "homemade bread" and opened it up, l genuinely can't see us using you again.

I ordered The Juggernaut Wrap. 1) I have to say you could end world hunger with these things! 2) Half way into my meal I was faced with a dilemma, I was getting full but you just have to keep tucking into the delicious, juicy filling. Incredible. 3) I made it a meal so had to face the chips next. 4) If you are hungry I am sure these guys can sort you out. Good quality, tasty and portions are extremely generous. 👌

Ordered the mixed grill and was extremely disappointed in the quality of the food. Marinated chicken was good, but the rest was very dry, to the point where I wondered if it were recooked from a previous day. Given the rave reviews I'd heard, the food standard was well below what was expected.

Popped in from my nearby hotel. Ordered a chicken wrap with burger sauce and salad. Quite possibly the best wrap I've ever had, and it was big too. Awesome. Thank you.

1hr40 wait of which 25mins was after we called to ask where our so called delivered order was. No explanation or apology. Shame as the food is nice.

Chips bit tasteless but good quality. Tornado wrap was fantastic. Grilled wrap. 👌 Great meat quality. Absolutely MASSIVE! really good value. Probably meant for 2 people those wraps 😂

Since moving to Edinburgh, I had been on the search for a really good doner kebab and was yet to find one, until I came across yayas! Fantastic doner with great flavour and well cut. I don’t bother with anywhere else now! Always great and the chips are good too.

I was craving a kebab one night and googled places nearby and came across this place. Very friendly, massive portions and good prices for the quality and quantity of food. I live 10 mins away and this is my new favourite place for kebabs, pizzas and anything else fast food 😄

Absolutely the best pizza around, second time have ordered the same pizza and doesn't disappoint, seriously superb and recommend to anyone.

I have eaten from many take away restaurants over the years an in my honest opinion this is the best hands down, the food is always top quality, the portions are very generous and the quality of the ingredients from the meats, breads and sauces are excellent. The pizzas and calzones are my personal favourites and their sweet chilli sauce is lovely and the staff are amazing

Fantastic burgers always amazing

Ordered the ‘pizza wrap’ chicken, mince, onion & jalapeños. Eat a quarter of it before I realised it was all onion & jalapeños that’s when I opened it up to find barely any chicken & mince. Took these photos, phoned up the place to see if they would accommodate my complaint, was met by a very rude/defensive owner on the phone who didn’t want to compromise at all, first of all a pizza wrap you’d expect it to be baked like a pizza then wrapped it, it was a basic wrap, slapped a wee bit Tomato sauce on it then a pathetic amount of meat which is ironic really cause whenever I got a normal wrap from them it had plenty meat. Not happy, me, my partner and 2 wee girls won’t be back

Can't complain about the food but the delivery time was absolutely shocking. I ordered at 6:30pm and my order wasn't delivered until 9:15pm. I wouldn't have minded 20 minutes late but over an hour late is a joke.

Biggest kebab I have ever had and tasted good ..

All the food was freezing cold, the chicken pakora was inedible and nothing like what has been ordered before. Straight in the bin and a waste of money.

I ordered the riot kebab (lamb doner and chicken tikka) with chips and a drink for £13.50. The meat was steaming hot and well-seasoned, in a home-made bread. The portion was huge and service friendly. Overall a great experience, will visit again.

First time using this place, and will definitely be back, chicken tikka is amazing and the bread is outstanding. Would I recommend this place 100% I would.

Juggernaut meal was advertised as coming with a 1.5ltr bottle of juice. Only received a 330ml can

It said it was out for delivery and turned 40 minutes later when the restaurant is five minutes up the road. Chicken cubes were basically cold and completely pink inside!! I’ve taken pictures and reported this and it will be getting collected as I have kept everything. First bite of the chicken doner all I got was cartilage. “Lemon rice” had not a hint of lemon in it. Vegetable pakoras were rock hard. At least the juice was cold though. Never from here ordering again.

Only complain I’ve got is my chicken tastes like bbq flavour, ordered the shawarma I don’t know why it tastes like bbq ? I’m not mad just curious

Chicken was superb . Chips were cold n soggy . Dessert I never got my cakes . I got two watery milkshakes tasted ok dunno what flavour it was tho. It was alot better last time was looking forward to my take out n was very disappointed .

Food is always good but I have one complaint - veg pakora. It tastes great but last week it came with salad - tonight just on its own. I think given the price it should come with salad every time

Living in Dubai, I have access to the very best food in the world. When I come back to my home city, Edinburgh, I am always on the look out for amazing food outlets. I really hope Yaya’s branch out to Dubai, they would be uber successful and I can let all my Brit friends know the true authentic taste of Pakistani grilled food, with a British twist. Best restaurant I’ve eaten in, in a long time!! ❤️

bro the kebab meal is so big. could easy do 2 people's dinner jsut by itself. don't fill it with veggies too much either. just a huge pile of meat with some veggies on the side. Eat it when its hot but it does still taste pretty decent the next day too

Got to say I fair enjoyed my meals from Yayas. There grills are delicious 😋. Delivery was a bit slow the first couple of times. But got a nice email from the owner explaining they where busy on the first occasion. Very Considerate and we'll mannered. Portions are of biblical proportions.

Sorry, I don't like leaving bad reviews but the chicken was terrible. Tasted like it had been left out for several hours. It seems since Brexit that most take-aways (and their delivery providers) are taking the mick with either low quality food, small portions and hiked up prices. Ordering take-out used to be a treat but nowadays it feels more like a gamble.

Have ordered from them many times and they never disappoint! Consistently good and always serve with a smile. Highly recommend, you won’t be disappointed. And great value for money too.

First time ordering from Yayas. I went on a whim and ordered the hoagie. Not only did it arrive super quick, but it was also huge! And delicious! I was absolutely starving but I couldn’t finish it and saved the rest for my lunch today. Celebrating a double tasty meal. Thank you Yaya. Will definitely be back 😊

The chicken was BOMB. Superrrr good and juicy!! One of the best chicken I’ve ever tasted in my life!! Although I need to wait ~30 minutes but the chicken was worth it. The owner was also very friendly and takes a great pride in this business and his food. No doubt this place has won multiple awards. Will come again

Ordered a delivery which took over an hour to arrive. Food came cold was over cooked seemed stale. Could not eat it and ended up having to just bin it. For the price of what we ordered was not edible. Will absolutely not be ordering from here again.

Food was freezing, chips are clearly frozen and heated, pizza was spicy? Ham and pineapple, how can that be spicy? Burger was OK but bun plain and dry, nothing came with it, no salad no sauce. First and last time we will order from here, quite disappointed after some of the reviews!

I can't fault any of the food we ordered from yaya's! Everything was so fresh and tasted like alot of effort went into preparation. I highly recommend 👌
