Lovely restaurant and well worth a visit

I took my food to go so didn’t experience the service and atmosphere but my pho was soooo good and delicious. Would come back!

Had the lunch deal which was a good price and delicious. If you don't do heat believe what it says on the menu!

Sooooo tasty! Spicy vermicelli soup and shaking beef were both delicious 🤤

The beef pho wasn’t very authentic —the broth wasn’t aromatic enough :( The bun cha tasted ok! But the portion size was rather small for the steep price.

The food is so good and my Vietnamese wife said that she can taste the taste from Vietnam, especially for the fish. Just be aware of the small bone.

Service was a bit cold upon arrival and inconsistent throughout. Atmosphere was lovely and cozy. Good temperature and distance between tables. Beef in betel leaf tasted nice but texture was very dry and crumbly. Fried pork and shrimp spring rolls were excellent. The bun bo hue with raw beef was not spicy at all and tasted very bland but was a generous portion. Was hardly anything like the traditional style in my opinion. I would highly recommend both the roast duck and braised pork and caramel sauce. Both dishes were delicious. The special Vietnamese coffee is not to be missed to top off your meal.

Pho is good and worth it although it is a little pricey. However, I wouldn't recommend you to order starters and desserts as they are overpriced for such a small portion that they serve. For example, BBQ Quail Vietnamese Style costs £11.50 but you only get two pieces of Quail legs, which are chopped into half, so basically a total of 4 pieces. However, they are full of bones so you hardly get to eat any meat. Vietnamese Rainbow costs £5. If you see the menu, you can see that the dessert cup is filled to the brim. However, what you actually get is 3/4 filled cup with a lot of ice flakes in it. Hence, they are absolutely not worth the price. You won't be getting what you will be paying for. You will be much better off ordering decent and cheaper desserts or starters somewhere else. Even some curries are cheaper than the starters/appetisers in this restaurant.

Had lunch at this wee gem yesterday. What a find - the staff are so friendly and efficient and the food - my gosh - was amazing. We had grilled prawns to start, the beef, squid and rolls and it was so full of flavour. I had catfish for the first time and it was just so tasty. Probably one of the nicest meals Ive ever had. BYOB also a bonus too! Will definitely be back! Thank you for looking after us so well.

I really enjoyed the vegetarian option after an underwhelming visit to Glasgow. I had a lot of pizza the night before so it was a blessing for my bowels to have enough veggies to flush it all out. This lunch kept me going until late at night where I just craved more of their delicious salad. Scotland should have more places like this. 🌱🌿🏔️

The meat is a bit salty The broth is okay Service was friendly. Asian Food is a good place except for the outrageous prices of 13-14 pound noodles.

Pleasant, cozy and interior authentic Vietnamese restaurant. The business has great, helpful service, reasonable prices and delicious food. We ordered the chicken pho, which was perfectly seasoned. The only caveat, which is more about personal preference, is serving the mung sprouts separately from the soup.

Stopped here when all trains were cancelled and I couldn't have made a better choice. I love a good Pho soup but this one was by far the best I have ever had. Took a stir fry as take away for my partner and he loved it. Will definitely be back for more 🙂 highly recommend!

Super super good viet!!!! sorry my table booking didn't go through no idea what caused that but I am so thankful that you let me in regardless I did my best to vacate my table for/before the time allotted. absolutely will be trying to book a table again whenever I'm back in Edinburgh. hopefully the next time is less stressful for both parties as I'd love to try some more food on the menu! 🥹

Loved this restaurant! The best pho broth I've tasted in a very long time, and the crispy pancake was a rare find and so satisfying after a long time. Also had a viet iced coffee and it was nostalgia in a glass. Food came out at a decent time even though the place was quite busy.

The place is nice and comfy, and the service is good and very quick, very friendly staff. The problem is the food is average; we tried the summer rolls, fried rolls, fried egg rice with beef and fried duck rice. The best one was the fried egg rice, the rest wasn’t very tasty. The Lemon sorbet was very nice. BYOB: £3 per person

Great Vietnamese restaurant serving proper authentic Vietnamese food. Very friendly service. Have been a few times and will be back! Can sometimes be very busy in the evening, however, think they serve the same menu at lunchtime, so I would recommend visiting around then.

We visited with family of 7 including 1year old and 3 year old. The restaurant was so accommodating. Had a booster seat my 1 year old for once didn't want to climb out of and they even supplied us with baby cutlery and bowl which was a great pleasant suprise. Really recommend this place for families. Food was really nice too!!

We found this amazing restaurant in google maps and gave us one of the best dinners we had at Edinburgh. We ordered two traditional Pho Soups and it was super tasteful and warm. The dessert was also amazing (I wish I have ordered two) ✨💕

The best Vietnamese place in UK. The portion of Pho is bigger than the one I had before one of the Vietnamese restaurant in Edinburgh. I still think it’s worth. Staff are friendly and nice place to chill with your partner and also with friend. Highly recommended.

Came here with my girlfriend, and the staff were absolutely wonderful. An incredibly accomodating place, and the food was beautiful!

I really recommend this restaurant. The service was very good and the food and also the drink came so fast and was very delicious. I had a Pho Bo with raw beef which was so tender and tasty. Also the atmosphere there was authentic.

Pho with raw beef. Good but not the best. The stick is not as good as the Pho Cafe in St James Quarter. It was served with only bean sprouts and some mint. The the holy basil and chillies were absent.

Walked in here, off the street, persuaded by the menus and happy staff. Sat at our table quickly and drinks order taken by very friendly and welcoming staff. Sparkling water and a mango juice, followed by a fried vegetable spring roll starter. For mains, we loved our choice if grilled street food (chicken) and stir fried rice. Both tasted fresh and perfectly balanced. Total price was approximately £53. Good value for the location, quality of food and excellent service. Highly recommend!

Arrive at Haymarket station early, order and enjoy a pint in the pub opposite. Then return and enjoy your takeaway on the steps round the corner whilst watching the folk going to and fro around the station. I was instantly transported back to a little plastic stool on the streets of Hanoi. Got to be good with chopsticks to do this, otherwise just eat-in. A particularly delicious meal. Can't wait to return.

As I'm visiting Vietnam soon I enjoyed a fabulous meal. Guided by our waiter because it was our first visit, we thoroughly enjoyed our food. We'll definitely be back!

We have been to Vietnam a few times and have not had better food than this unpretentious restaurant in the west end of Edinburgh. Everything from the spring rolls and quail entrees to the duck was absolutely amazing. Simply the best. Well done chef and the efficient and friendly wait staff.

Lemongrass pork with rice hit the SPOT! The meat was soft, tender, and juicy, just as I remembered eating this dish years ago (in another country). The side vinegar and chili sauce was sweet. Don't be fooled by the chilis in it; there was no spice to it at all. Lather the meat in the sauce and eat it with the vegetables, rice, and egg for an unforgettable experience. I tried Thai milk tea. Being from Thailand, I had high expectations for it and boy, did they deliver. The drink was sweet, helped by the thick, heavy cream mixed well with the brewed tea. Tastes just like home! To date, no Thai milk tea has some close to Pho Viet's one and I have tried many. For anyone craving Thai milk tea, this place is the real deal. I'd definitely return to Pho Viet again. Hands down, one of the best Vietnamese restaurants I have tried to date!

The Pho were good no question about it. Their signature roast duck was fabulous - crispy skin with juicy duck meat. It appeared more like deep fried then roasted. Very tasty nonetheless. The grilled pork with fried spring rolls was another dish we enjoyed very much. Loved that they serve authentic fish sauce based condiments with the dishes.

The reason for the 4 star is I enjoy listening to music but I rather listen to Vietnamese music to feel I visiting Vietnam but I highly recommend going here I will come again. Love wee restaurant friendly staff good food and a sweet tea set

Tasty salt pepper squid, the best I’ve had for a while - crispy and succulent. Beef and beef meatball pho was aromatic. Beef wasn’t the best/ most refined cuts I’ve ever had but I’m comparing from South London Vietnamese restaurants who cater for local Vietnamese community. Not sure id have the meatballs again. But overall tasty and exceeded expectations. Was about double the piece I am used to paying in London - £8-11 for a starter and £13-17 for a main is quite steep I think. Decor ok although lighting a harsh yellow at night. 2 niggles - why not give a proper Asian soup spoon (like a little ladle) - was hard to eat the soup. And no chill oil/ garlic offered at the table. It felt quite basic canteen ambiance but for the price I’d usually be expecting something a bit more refined food and decor wise. But overall food was good and glad to have found this near to Haymarket.

I haven't been in Vietnam but I love Vietnamese food and this place only confirmed it.

Zin in Vietnamees, dus even googelen. Deze kwam naar boven met prima beoordelingen. 20 minuten wandelen vanuit het centrum van Edinburgh. Absoluut de moeite waard. Ik had de creamy curry met garnalen (prawns) en gestoomde rijst: HEERLIJK. Bediening aardig en attent. DOEN!!!

I came twice whilst I was Edinburgh for their veggie Bun Bo Hue, a spicier noodle soup. The portion was generous and filled with vegetables and tofu and the broth was beautifully rich in flavour. We were given a hefty amount of fresh herbs and bean sprouts to add to the soup and they had a wonderful homemade garlic oil at each table too. This was delicious and I was so happy there was a vegetarian version Don't skip the Vietnamese coffee either! It's very nicely balanced and not overly sweet. I could've drank two if they weren't so pricey ;)

Nice comfortable little restaurant. Good atmosphere, not loud and you can have a chat in peace. Service was great. Food was excellent. The Pho soups where incredible and the Caramel Pork was absolutely unbeatable. Deserves 5 start all the way.

Our favourite local Vietnamese in the Haymarket area. Summer rolls are the best! Food is always delicious. You cannot buy alcohol on the premises but it's bring your own bottle policy!

I had Pho and stir fry rice . Excellent taste and quality . The girl who served was warm and readily accepted our suggestions. The ambience was good , the vibe just amenable to eat and eat . The Pho is exceptionally good and a must try .

The staff were very friendly and attended to me quickly when I walked in. I really enjoyed the food and went twice, two days in a row. By far one of the best Pho I’ve ever had. Also tried the fried spring rolls with pork and shrimp (crunchy texture with a punch of flavours elevated by the fish sauce). The BRAISED PORK IN CARAMEL SAUCE was really good but was a tad salty.

I sent my husband here when I fell ill. The last thing you want on holiday, right? Pho makes everything better! The first night I felt myself getting better as I was slurping away. The tea was not a good thing to get as take away as the trees was actually in the cup and I didn’t know so when I opened it after I ate, it was so strong and bitter that I couldn’t drink it. It was beautiful though. I assume it smelled nice as well but my sniffer was out of commission. lol The soup however was divine and just what the Dr ordered. The second day it was not as nice but I will never forget the first. My husband said they were really nice.

So far, this is the best bun bo hue that I had in Edinburgh. The soup was not too spicy but very flavourful and refreshing. They have several option like: vegan, beef and seafood. The location is near Haymarket station

We had ordered Pho which was mostly all noodles little chicken and beef in these dishes. Sorry drinks and other dishes were extremely expensive.

I came here without checking reviews and was really surprised and pleased with the selection of dishes which most London restaurants don't have (BBQ meats with wrap your own rice papers, actual pho tai, fresh garlic chili pickle at the table(!) 3 kinds of che(!!)). I had pho ga, which was lovely and perfect for me and they brought me hoisin when asked. My friends had banh xeo, which I didn't try because it was gobbled up but the pancake looked really crispy and was very full of prawns and sprouts. If I had come with my family I would have ordered much much more but was completely satisfied with my pho.

Consistently great food, friendly service, you will leave satisfied. I can recommend the duck dish and the Vietnamese Salad. Love this place
