Super filling Thai curry - make sure you add the chicken (only 2.49) as you get lots of strips! Very tasty spiced apple and blackberry crumble too. All for under £20 Great food and great deal. Top service too!

Went here with my wife. This review is for the restaurant by Rodgers quay(no idea why there is two 1km apart). Restaurant was very quite, service was good no complaints. The food is quite expensive for what it was but that's just part and parcel of eating out these days I guess. The food is self was pretty average, I wasn't blown away by anything. Wife wasn't a fan of hers thought the chicken just tasted like cheap chicken and she therefore she didn't finish her meal, she said it was no better than going to the Tung Sing etc. My ramen was fine but no better than going to Wagamama which id have probably preferred. All things considered I wouldn't bother to return here.

Ok I don’t leave many reviews only when deserved. Went tonight with being honest a bit of a doubt in my mind that it was going to be worth it, few reviews I’d seen recently weren’t exactly how shall we say, glowing. But since the relaunch I thought should give it a go. Glad we did. Midweek and surprisingly quite a few in, not so busy to give huge wait times but still enough to give an atmosphere. We were shown a distant table which given there was one of the booths free in the middle was a surprise, but actually it was a very nice place, can see out to the marina and the battering rain and wind, quiet but still felt part of the restaurant. Ordering the chowder and burger from I suppose a limited menu but then again I hate a thousand choices, we were served quickly and the food was filling, hot and very tasty. Added in a side of garlic bread too. Best surprise was at the end, two mains, a starter, strawberry daiquiri and a bottle of beer, served by very nice attentive staff was £48. Very reasonable indeed. As my partner said on leaving it felt more of an event and lovely setting compared to the pile it high mounds of food you get in local American style restaurants, still plenty to make you feel well fed but not such waste left behind. I will certainly use it again and hopefully it will just continue to improve.

This is situated at the back of the Carrickfergus civic and museum centre, and we came across it whilst making a brief stop for lunch before catching a ferry. Three of us opted for the Glasshouse no meat fry and it was absolutely delicious!! The soda and potato bread was especially good. The young man who served us was lovely and we were happy to have accidentally discovered this place and enjoy a great meal in a great space. Whilst here, we also popped in to the museum in the same building.

Ordered a taco chip when I got home and opened it. It was a chip with taco sauce even though it said on the website taco mine and jalapeños. When I rang up the person on the phone said they had ran out of mince. £7 for a chip with sauce disgrace!

We were out for a drive in north Antrim. We stopped In carrickfergus for a walk about, it was cold, we fancied something to eat to warm us up. As we walked into the Windrose it felt really welcoming. The staff took us tour seats overlooking the marina. When we both look at the menu we both knew what we wanted “sea food chowder” and it was so good and well presented, it was very filling, the wheaten bread served along with the chowder was delicious ,lovey and moist perfect. Will definitely be back.

Tastiest Chinese in Carrick! Extra points for the lady behind the counter as she's very friendly and polite.

Don't know what all the negatives reviews are about. Am in at least 4 times a week as I ow where everything is and can be out in a flash. Staff are always polite, friendly and helpful. Yes there aren't many checkouts as mostly self scan now but, same as everywhere. Yes sometimes stock on offers is low but, they are a very small branch and keep low availability to enable them to stock a wide range of products.
