We went here as a family to enjoy the bringing in of the new year festivities (2025).
Having pre-selected our meals, we weren't sure how the food would be, but I'm very pleased to say that all the family was very pleased and impressed by the quality of food and the portion sizes also. A local band was also playing 60's style music which everyone can relate to and enjoy. Fireworks were set off at midnight, and a Scottish dressed bag piper was also laid on and played in the new year with awesome sounding bagpipes which also added to the atmosphere.
All in all I can honestly say that all had a wonderful time, and
management and staff were very attentive.
So highly recommended by us and will certainly be returning.
Thank you Masserene golf club and restaurant.
So disappointed. Houlohans on the Barge was fabulous, this was certainly not. My husband ordered chowder, which lacked flavour, seasoning and was full of potato. I ordered Chicken boxty which I usually love. This was so so disappointing, probably worst boxty ever! It lacked flavour, seasoning and had no taste. The chicken in tarragon cream was missing the tarragon and had no flavour. This place may impress tourists who want Guinness and boxty….. just so sad it does little to impress locals! Next to the rice pudding….. horrendous stodge. This was worse than school dinners. The only thing we enjoyed was the imported wine!
this chicken korma is a worst chicken curry I've ever had in my 32 yrs so far. Why did you had to put coconut powder and sugar in it? if you are putting such cr*p in it then you should atleast mention it in the decription. To all the Guys, if you are from north India or any other part of the world then you should skip this sh*tty curry.
We were visiting Northern ireland for holidays and came here for lunch but loved so much that came back for dinner too… as we were staying in same area..
The food was great and service was amazing.
Kids friendly.
Authentic Indian Food.
This is my first time ordering from Yak’s and I have to say the food was outstanding, we will definitely be ordering again and I would highly recommend.
First time using the sit in as myself and my partner get a takeaway (we are local) well the sit in did not disappoint, the decor is beautiful..the seating arrangements and art positioned at the tables is stunning! The staff were more than pleasant and helpful. The food is proper food..perfectly cooked and presented. We will be back as we haven't stopped talking about the fish! It could of fed a family 🤣 the place is a credit to you both!
Friends and I booked a table for dinner at The Halfway House near Broughshane this evening, and it did not disappoint. Known for its exceptional quality, locally sourced pub food and outstanding customer service, The Halfway House truly lives up to its reputation.
I enjoyed the traditional Turkey and Ham with all the classic trimmings, while my friends enjoyed perfectly cooked sirloin steaks.
As a family-run establishment, The Halfway House is an ideal spot to relax and enjoy delicious food along with attentive service. If you're traveling through the Braid Valley and seeking top-notch self-service accommodations, The Halfway House is more than happy to provide a comfortable overnight stay.
You won't find another bar-restaurant that offers the same level of consistent, personalised experience that the Hamill family and their staff deliver. Trust me, you won’t be disappointed.
Had a fantastic dinner in Aldo’s, where they were very kindly able to squeeze me in without a booking. Food was amazing and service equally good! Well worth travelling for!
