Overpriced food with extremely salty taste. Food quality was really bad. Staff members will give you fake smile with extreme attitude. All staff members are rude. They will force you to spend 40£ minimum, doesn't matter what you want to order. Their behavior was the only bad experience I had during belfast trip. Don't visit this place again if you don't want ruined your mood.

It was the worst experience in my life to visit this restaurant. I went their and wanted to order Aalu Parantha with some curries but owner refused me to order this and asked me to spend minimum 50£. I denied to do so then they asked me to leave. I would say that our self respect is more important than any food. The owner will speak politely to White people but become rude towards Asians. I never met this kind of freaky guy ever.

I had an incredible experience at a restaurant where the service was outstanding, going out of their way to get to know everyone. I had the best service I’ve ever had, and it really added to the jolly atmosphere. Plus, the idea of enjoying a round of free drinks just makes it even better!

Had such a lovely meal here to celebrate our friend coming back from Spain. The food was so delicious and the service impeccable. We felt so looked after, haven't had such a nice time in years. Would highly recommend and will be back. ❤️❤️

Himalayan is honestly up there with the best restaurants in Belfast! They have amazing nepalese/indian food, I tried the vindaloo and was absolutely delicious.

I recently ordered Malai Kofta, Chicken Tikka, Garlic Naan, and Rice—and everything was absolutely delicious! The Malai Kofta was rich and flavorful, and the Chicken Tikka was perfectly cooked with just the right amount of spice. The naan was soft and garlicky, and the rice complemented the meal really well. They also have a very good menu for vegetarians with plenty of great options. Definitely recommend!

I have ordered online and went to pickup my order but unfortunately there was a technical issue and they didn’t see my order so they compromise with an extra order (Chicken) just to show how sorry they were and also to show respect so I appreciate their service and good atmosphere 🙏🏼Food for me was just fine

I was excited to try this Nepali restaurant, but unfortunately, it was a disappointing experience. As a Nepali, I am very familiar with authentic flavors, and the food here did not meet expectations. The lamb sekuwa did not resemble sekuwa at all.The lamb sekuwa looked like it was just mixed with some spices and red chili powder rather than being properly grilled and marinated as real sekuwa should be. The onion in the dish had a strong, unpleasant smell, and when we mentioned it to the owner, he brought out a tray of cut onions and capsicums, insisting they were fresh. The portion of taas was very small for the price. The momo was undercooked—the wrapper was raw on the top, though it tasted better than the other dishes. The food is way to expensive as compared to the quantity. For the price, the quality and portion sizes were disappointing. I expected a more authentic and well-prepared meal.

Himalayan is a Nepalese restaurant on Botanic avenue. The menu is large with a good mix between classic Indian dishes and Nepalese cuisine. I was impressed to see such a good range of plant-based options on the menu. I tried the Vegan Nepalese special plate which comes with a delicious daal style dish; stew like curry with rice and roti. I loved the flavours and the variety in the dish. The service was fantastic with great advice on what we should order as well as great welcoming energy. Some of the best service I have seen in Belfast. I would definitely advise trying Himalayan 😁

My friend and I came here to celebrate our getting a job and the owner was so kind to get us celebratory drinks on the house. The food was amazing was well. The naan genuinely felt like home to me. A must visit place with a very warm atmosphere

The BEST restaurant in town. The dhal bhat was absolutely unreal and incredibly authentic. Purkash is a lovely owner and makes it a delight to eat here every time!

Absolutely love this place! The Jholilo Special Curry is my go to, comes with chicken, lamb, and prawn, so I don’t have to stress about choosing which meat I want because they’re all amazing. The flavors are rich, the spices are just right, and it always hits the spot when I’m craving a good curry. On top of that, the staff are fantastic—super friendly and welcoming. If you’re after a proper curry fix, this is the place to go!

The food was beautiful, and could have actually split it, between us, the naan you get, is also a large one you would get in a restaurant, so you could also share if you wanted, or get a mix and share between someone else will order again

I went there with some friends for a friend's birthday. The owner asked us all our names and remembered them correctly throughout the night. He came to chat to us and went above and beyond to make sure we have a good time. It was clear they value their clients.

This is hands down the best Indian in Belfast with the nicest staff. I can not recommend this place enough ! Standard of take away food is also exceptional. Never had a in here bad meal why I keep coming back.

From the moment I walked in, the ambiance was warm and inviting. The staff [Prakash] was attentive, friendly, and made sure we were comfortable throughout our meal. The food was absolutely delicious every dish was beautifully presented and packed with flavour. However some of the meal’s portions were quite less than as expected.

Superb! Everything was great. Best place to try nepali food. The service was impeccable—our server was knowledgeable and attentive without being intrusive. The food? Simply exquisite. The duck confit melted in my mouth, and the truffle risotto was rich and flavorful. Every course was beautifully presented and thoughtfully prepared. The sommelier also recommended the perfect wine pairing for our meal. A true five-star experience—I can’t wait to return!

Had such a great time here!! We came last night and our server was really attentive, even gave us some free fruit juices at the end of the night :) The food was so good, I really recommend the cheese naan and kashmiri which I had.

Eight of us had our annual "after Christmas" Dinner here, the staff were very easy going and attentive, good varied menu, I had Garlic chillie chicken, I honestly can't remember having a better curry ever, everyone loved the food, we will definitely be back, highly recommend.

The food was amazing, the service was excellent, very friendly staff. It was my birthday and they gave us a free cake and lots of free drinks, amazing atmosphere.

So cross - we ordered the food at 8pm with an estimated delivery time of 8.25-8.45. the driver picked up the food and it took him nearly an hour to get it to us. We watched him drive all round Belfast. I took screenshots of where he was on the map and he seemed to be driving back and forth and kept diverting from where the map said he should be. I ordered for my elderly parents who can't eat too late due to the medication they are on. He didn't even apologise. Disgusted by this service.

This place has honestly the most delicious food ever. The paneer tikka masala is unbeatable and the chana masala and Dal makhani are great if you're vegetarian. The staff are just the friendliest, especially the host who treats you like a family member. Highly recommend this place. One of my favourite places in Belfast that I always recommend to people.

We have been coming here for takeaway since the start of the university year in 2024 once a week. (Curry club thursdays). As we are all heading home for the holidays either at the end of this week or the start of the next, we decided to treat ourselves to a sit in meal at the restaurant wed near call a second home, and to say the least we were not disappointed. The service was impeccable and the food was even better. Hats off to the staff at Himalayan for making this experience as enjoyable as it was from the cromwell curry club🥘

Delicious food and great service

Oh, this place is just lovely! The food is amazing, the atmosphere is wonderful and, best of all, the staff is exceptional. I wandered in my complete happenstance but it was one of the best meals I’ve had in Belfast. The staff were so lively and were generous with their suggestions. I even got a free glass of champagne because the table beside me had a birthday. Definitely give it a go!

Had a really lovely meal here with some friends. Kitchen stayed open just to serve us despite being quite late to arrive. Beautiful food. Excellent service. I will return very soon.

I ordered a delivery. None of the foods were authentic.Ordered some Nepali foods. They don't resemble the nepali food at all. Guys, If you order nepali food in this restaurant, it is not authentic nepali. Nepali food is much more better than this.However, among all the food I ordered, Naan was perfect.

Interesting menu - something different from a standard Indian restaurant. Service was excellent and the manager very chatty and friendly.

Nice location right off Botanic and a well maintained dining room on the first floor. Unfortunately, the whole experience was really bizarre. Got shouted from entering and received very poor service all along. Food was okay when it arrived, but the experience overall was very underwhelming. Some of the highlights of our visit: - had to wait ages and ask all three front of house people to finally place our order - tables seated and ordered after us kept getting food while we were still waiting for our starter - no crackers on arrival (all other tables were getting them as soon as seated) - starter never arrived, ended up telling them to cancel it altogether after our mains arrived - mains and rice arrived, but we had to ask about the naan we ordered for the mains as it was missing as well - same story of asking every front of house staff member to get the bill and pay - they brought us someone else's bill (glasses of wine instead of our full dinner) , so had to send it back Have to give them credit they did omit the naan from the bill and brought some sort of juice for both of us at the end. We were already running late at this stage and there was very little to be done to salvage that disaster. Would recommend any other place in the area over this one, just not worth the frustration and hassle. Eating out should be an enjoyable experience and this was very far from it. On the upside, the food was okay and the menu was pretty extensive. Still, we didn't get the dish we were most excited about, so having things on the menu doesn't count for much.

The portions and quality are terrible for the price. Spent nearly 50 pound and got 1 and a half poppadoms for 3.50 and a half empty bag of chips. Curry was watery and tasted of sugar. This restaurant used to be fantastic for takeaway, the quality has really gone down hill. After ordering for several years won’t be ordering again.

I had a fantastic dining experience at this restaurant! The Nepali-style chicken biryani and Himalayan choila were incredibly flavorful and delicious. To top it off, the staff surprised me with a cake, played a birthday song, and even offered complimentary sparkling wine. Their warm gesture made the evening truly special. Highly recommend for both the food and the hospitality!

Food was very tasty, the owner was very kind and friendly, but when it came to ordering and about being informative about the potions, wasn't that good of a communicator , hence we ended up ordering 2 rottie potions, where one would have been enough to share among 2 people ,with another main dish, 1 rottie = 4 slices. Though the food was tasty, felt the food prices were higher by 25% - 30% higher than the average price. All in all compared to the last menu published here in Google reviews the price was up by GBP 2-3. We were only 2 adults and 6 year old. The kids meal was GBP 10+ for (Chips and Nuggets) which is quite a high price in my belief. A starter potion comes to more than GBP 8+ . Main dishes ranges from GBP 19+. Took fairly a long time to serve the food. For total of 2 adults and 1 kid the cost was GBP 79, The highest we have paid to dine in, in Belfast. Chicken Momo - GBP 8.95 ( for 4 small dumplings) Kids Nuggets & Chips - GBP 10.95 ? Aloo Parata (Potion - 4 slices) - GBP 3.95 Garlic Coriander Naan(Potion - 4 slices) - GBP 3.50 Himalayan Special Curry - GBP 19.95 ( Small potion size for an exorbitant price charged) Chicken Tikka Biryani - GBP 20.95 (Potion size small for the price charged) Small sprite - GBP 2.95 Still water - GBP 3.50 Large Coke - GBP 4.20 Total Bill - GBP 78.90

We tested the takeaway service. Super nice and helpful boss, he will speak to you in French if you tell him you come from there. The price is really affordable and the ambiance of the restaurant is immaculate. The frontage may leave something to be desired but it is worth the effort.

I would highly recommend Himalayan. I came here with family for my birthday, and had a fantastic evening. The food was beautiful, the service was exceptional (special thank you to Prakash), and the atmosphere was brilliant. We were made feel so welcome and we will definitely be returning!

Party of 6 adults Excellent food and an abundance of Gluten Free options, lived up to searches indicating Himalayan as one of the best Indian restaurants in Belfast. Arrived earlier evening and first customers in, but received a warm welcome and filled up with other customers. Staff were excellent all night, menu recommendations were spot on, and a couple of our party received a celebratory treat which was a wonderful gesture. Nepalese specialities from the menu were extremely tasty!

Food was delicious littler later than expected but can’t fault the restaurant for that.

The staff are very friendly and accommodating. They work above and beyond. Great customer service. The ambience and the atmosphere of the restaurant is top rated. The dining area is not very congested unlike other restaurants where the noise of everyone talking side by side is a nuisance. The food is superb, gorgeous and very authentic. I highly recommend this place. Will definitely come back.

Delicious authentic Nepali food with many vegan and vegetarian options. We had the veg momos, tofu masala, and dahl makhani. All delicious but the tofu masala especially stood out. Very friendly owner.

Avoid this place! We went to this restaurant yesterday and it was the worst restaurant experience I have had in my life. After a 15 minute conversation with the annoyingly chatty waiter that asked us whether we were only friends or "friends", we ordered solely vegetarian dishes, emphasising a dozen times that we are vegatarians. Our first starter, supposedly vegetarian momos (dumplings), arrived fairly quickly. However, after we finished them the waiter came back with another plate of dumplings, telling us that the ones we ate were chicken dumplings and these were the vegetarian ones. He didnt apologise, but instead blamed us for not having been able to identify the chicken in the dumplings. The main waiter tried to "save" the situation by telling us that he is also a vegetarian and therefore understands how I feel now. However, he then said that it is all in my head and that I can be lucky it is not a food allergy. Even worse, he also said that the kitchen confuses the food quite often and that this is not the first time it has happened. This restaurant clearly does not care about people's dietary restrictions.

Went here on our honeymoon. The manager put up congratulation signs and really made our experience pretty great! It also helped that the food was spectacular.

Food was very mediocre I swapped my dhansak with my wife's achari because she found hers too hot. Strangely enough they both tasted the same. The waiter was rather cold and never asked was we enjoying our food, he just came and took our dishes away not acknowledging us in the slightest. If you are visiting Belfast like us then give this place a wide berth.

Ordered Kadai Paneer and chicken tikka masala. Both the curried were nowhere close to tasting like Indian food. Chicken tikka masala was sweet with lots of food colouring.

Banging Dal Makhani. Also had tandoori prawn, which was fine, Chow mein which was very spicy and veg momos which were below average. Very good taste. These were medium hot spicy dishes and they were perfect except the chow mein which was too spicy. We also had cheese garlic naan and pulao rice. Everything was cooked to perfection. Giving it only 3 stars on food because I was not able to try non veg since they offer religion specific meat and some items were not that good.
