I have initially been coming in with crutches after surgery and the staff could not be kinder carrying my order to my table. I come in several times a week and I always find the staff pleasant, and I have never seen the toilet locked.

Las mesas estaban espaciadas, pero en general fue una visita muy decepcionante.

First stop in town, having driven up from the Dublin ferry. This was the first chipper we came across. The pasty and the chips were pretty good, but the fish was just - meh! But defo did the job of filling my empty stomach and I thought the chip portion size was good.
I was very disappointed in the service,the food & the hygiene of this Subway in Junction 1 Antrim.The man preparing the food was most unhelpful,he never told us where the minerals or crisps were for our meals.Both meals were cold & we had to ask to have them heated,which made no difference.The tables were full of previous customers papers & rubbishThey were not cleaned down or sanitised & Covid still in circulation.Overall I would not recommend eating at this place at all.Very disappointing.
Una gran experiencia. Un anfitrión fantástico que era amable y servicial. La comida era sabrosa y a precios competitivos y el lugar era grande y cómodo. Definitivamente es el mejor restaurante en el SSE.

Arrived at the Nook for a bit of lunch, as we entered a young man saw us enter, we took a seat and waited for service, 10 minutes later another couple entered and took a seat at a table next to us, a waitress was straight down to serve them, our order had still not been taken, it was at this point we left as we could not be bothered waiting any longer. Terrible customer service.
Good food and a convenient location however, on our recent visit (November), we found the lack of heating a real issue — it was uncomfortably cold inside, to the point where we could see our breath in the air. This is something we hope they’ll address urgently. Additionally, the music is always played at a high volume which makes conversation challenging and the playlist tends to be very niche, which can feel less relaxing than a more universal selection like general pop, etc. A few adjustments to the temperature and music volume would make a big difference and we’d be happy to return more often if those changes were made.

My wife, daughter and I visited a couple of days back for some hot beverages and sandwiches. Our daughter cannot drink tea or coffee for health reasons and uses a medicinal teabag which she brings in her handbag. My wife and I had coffee and I asked for a cup of hot water for our daughter.
Would you believe, the young man who served us was not only so lacking in personality that I think he must have been weaned on lemons, but worst of all he refused the cup of water.
Very Christmassy attitude I must say. I had to pay £3.50 for a herbal tea so that our daughter could have a drink.
Won’t be going in there again. Very dirty place, bad attitudes and the coffee tasted like ditchwater.
Me sorprendió tanto mi experiencia en este terrible lugar que en realidad es difícil decidir la mejor manera de comenzar esta revisión: las palabras me fallan. En todos mis largos años (algunos alrededor del comercio de la hospitalidad) , nunca he tenido una experiencia bastante similar.
Visitamos la sucursal de Forestside hace un par de años, y nos quedamos bastante horrorizados ante lo que fue, entonces, nuestra peor experiencia gastronómica (desplazarse hacia atrás en mis reseñas si quieres leerlo) , cuando pedí que la mayonesa, a la que soy alérgica, no se incluyera en mi bocadillo. El chef personalmente me aseguró que no lo sería.
Sin embargo, cuando examiné mi baguette, estaba claro que la mayor parte de la mayonesa en el interior simplemente se había raspado. ¡Si sabes algo sobre alergias, sabrás que esto no es bueno!
Cuando vimos la sucursal de Corn Market, pensamos bien, diferentes empleados, dos años más tarde, etc, así que decidimos darle una oportunidad.
Elegí la hamburguesa de pollo “coreana”. En lo que consistía era en un trozo congelado de pechuga de pollo, rebozado, cubierto con algo muy parecido a la salsa HP, y metido en un batido barato. ¿Por casi 15 libras?
De todos modos, tenía hambre, así que me comí las patatas fritas y luego mordí la hamburguesa, solo para descubrir que estaba fría. No me refiero a tibio, me refiero a frío. Como dije antes, tengo cierta experiencia en la industria de la restauración, así que sonaron las campanas de advertencia. Corté la cosa por la mitad, y encontré lo que temía – el centro de la “hamburguesa” estaba completamente crudo (foto adjunta).
Esto no es solo repugnante, es un claro peligro para la salud. Marché al mostrador y exigí un reembolso, que finalmente recibí. La pobre camarera estaba muy avergonzada – creo que este no fue el primer cliente infeliz que ha visto en su (esperemos que breve) carrera en Jamaica Blue.
Y no iba a ser la última. Mientras volvía a mi mesa a buscar mi abrigo, oí una voz de la mesa de al lado que exclamaba “¡UGH! ¡Esto es crudo!” Hablé con ella y me mostró su “hamburguesa”, exactamente igual que la mía. Cuando me fui, vi a la pobre chica detrás del mostrador lidiar con su queja.
Está claro que Jamaica Blue no sabe nada sobre alergias, higiene o cocina, y NO debe participar en la preparación o servicio de alimentos!

Hit and miss, during the week, some of the food is lovely, Sundays is a disaster, not good this past few times, staff are lovely, do their best, run of their feet at times, but need to improve on the food, and brighten up the decor, to drab.
My friends and I travelled to Enniskillen for a glamping experience this month and we ordered a meal deal including pizza, tenders and garlic bread. The foot arrived to us as 1:45am and the the delivery driver had said the food was cooked at 1:05am. We weren’t too far out from the town that would warrant this delay. In addition, when we received the delivery - the cheese was solidified and hard upon eating the pizza. The chicken wasn’t cooked properly and everything was cold / slightly warm.
None of us have felt right after this food and wouldn’t recommend this place again - especially at night. We spent a lot of money on the food (over £50) and we couldn’t even finish it. The quality was not up to standard and I do believe that we have had a touch of food poisoning from this as none of us have felt great since. Again, I just want to point out that we would not recommend this place and I really don’t think it would pass a food safety test judging by the quality of the food we had received. It will be a long time before I order a takeaway again after this! Still have an upset stomach from the food and so does my friends!!
