I was very disappointed in the service, the food & the hygiene of this Subway in Junction 1 Antrim. The man preparing the food was most unhelpful,he never told us where the minerals or crisps were for our meals. Both meals were cold & we had to ask to have them heated, which made no difference. The tables were full of previous customers papers & rubbishThey were not cleaned down or sanitised & Covid still in circulation.Overall I would not recommend eating at this place at all.Very disappointing.

My family and I stopped into this subway to have a peaceful meal however this was not the case!!! From entering this restaurant I could already tell that this was going to be far from peaceful, the line was extremely long even though there was more than 6 workers there. Hoping for the best we waited in line, when we reached the counter I asked the worker if we could use the £4:99 footlong deal on all are sandwiches (4 to be exact) the worker assured my that there would be no problem. However upon reaching the cash register an employee exclaimed that I could not use it on all the sandwiches after being told that I could. This is when my elderly father asked if there is any way we could use the £4:99 deal on all sandwiches. Then we were told that “we could pay for them separately and use the deal on all sandwiches” so that is what we started to do. After paying for the first sandwich we were told that the second one cannot be paid the same way after being told we could! Then the worker said in a rather rude and cheeky manor “ well that’s not my problem, you will have to pay for it without the deal” which really upset my elderly father who was already annoyed about this incident. After being forced to pay without this so called “deal” we sat down and noticed other customers having the same issue with the staff. We will never return to this subway as the stress it has caused against my family is absolutely ridiculous and unacceptable.

Shocked how little filling was in the sub. I had to ask for more. Female staff was so rude. I had asked for a kid’s meal…she didn’t hear me properly and started making me a 6 inch meal. She was so annoyed when I told her that it was supposed to be a kid’s meal and argued with me that I didn’t mention kid’s meal She then threw the 6 inch in the bin! Got me another 6 inch out and cut 2 inches off to make a kid’s meal! Such a waste of food! No customer service at all from the female member of staff!!

Really friendly staff and great food. First time visiting and will definitely come again. Had the sausage sandwich, cake and coffee, thought it was good value and tasty. Only slight complaint was the sausages weren’t reheated enough (cold in the centre), but still delicious.

Always our go to Indian takeaway. Very polite, great service and the best curries going. Love the odd chips and large onion bahjis. Good portions too. Enjoy

I was part of a group which ate at the Winter Mill restaurant in January 2024, and sadly none of us will be looking to repeat the experience. The soup starter was indifferent, but problems really began with the main courses, which in my case consisted of what was quite-obviously the starter version of the dish I’d ordered. Our waitress saw nothing wrong with the very-small portion offered, but was eventually prevailed upon to return with the full-size version of the dish. This was thankfully a bit warmer than the original offering, although the “grilled halloumi” centrepiece was actually deep-fried. We should have probably cut our losses at this point, but instead requested the dessert menu, which was duly presented after an interval of about fifteen minutes. Several of us ordered the sticky toffee pudding, which was tepid and stale to the extent that most of us abandoned our attempts to eat. Our waitress, once again, saw no reason to remark on dishes being returned three-quarters uneaten. I’ve given two stars rather than one as my dining companions fared somewhat better with their mains. The Winter Mill confidently aspires to the prices of a quality contemporary restaurant, but makes no effort to provide commensurate standards of food or service.
