The Marine Chippy and Coffee House in Larne

as we were cold on a cool breezy day in July, we stepped inside the Marine Chippy for some chips....fantastic and great comfort food.

Steer clear!!you think your getting a big fish but it's the thick batter on it and it was really greasy.They bring the fish from back of shop pre cooked and put it in fryer at front of shop a waste of money I'm just sorry I didn't go to the chip van in Glenarm.

Stopped in for a fish supper and was so disappointed. The batter was so thick and greasy and not cooked on the inside because of the thickness. The fish inside was tiny but seemed fresh and the chips had two hairs on them. We fed more or less the whole lot to the seagulls and they certainly enjoyed it. Cash only and the place is just not up to the standard of the traditional Northern Ireland chippy...

Wish I’d read reviews before I stopped here. We had 2 fish suppers and it was a totalLynn lacklustre experience. The batter is way too thick covering g poor quality fish, it was greasy and, while the chips weren’t greasy they weren’t too tasty either. The queue outside other chippy in Carnlough should have warned us. If visiting Antrim .coast drive on up to Ballycastle to Morton’s to see what fish and chips is really like. They give you choice of fish, cod, haddock, mackerel etc.

This is a great wee chill shop with great quality fish and chips and the rest that goes with it!! Everything is freshly made on site with good quality produce!

Stopped here during a drive around the coast, we were served promptly. The food was nice but I personally didn't enjoy the batter on the fish. Café was quite clean but the seating arrangements could be better as the seats are far too close to the tables. Friendly staff in this café. May return in future.

The fact that theree was no one else in cafe should have been a sign. On entering we were told coffee machine was broken maybe assistant hoped we would leave we asked for two 7 ups. We got oneb7up snd a cup of tea. The tuna melt had about a teaspoon of cheese no garnish, no offer of sauces or anything burger tasted okay and was served with a few chips cheap enough but will no charm wont be back

Cittadina sul mare nel Regno Unito chiama fish and chips. Lo prendiamo con piselli, pane e burro. A prima vista dosi abbondanti, a seconda vista notiamo che il pane è ammuffito. Senza parole. Ma come si fa ad avere il coraggio di servire cibo avariato a dei clienti? Disonesti e non professionali. Il che mi fa avere seri dubbi sulla qualità del resto del cibo, se la filosofia e la serietà della casa è questa. Come volevasi dimostrare iniziando a mangiare il fish and chips ci accorgiamo che il pesce non è fresco, la pastella aiutava a coprire e si sentiva che l olio della frittura non è di qualità. Abbiamo fatto notare del pane e ci hanno fatto uno sconto, magra consolazione. Segnalo che non accettano carte di credito. Mi stupisce che ci fossero molti avventori locali, anche se bisogna riconoscere che i coperti era non più di una dozzina. Locale fatiscente. Abbiamo intravisto la cucina che confermava le opinioni di cui sopra. In Scozia in locande in apparenza di basso profilo abbiamo mangiato cibo locale da leccarsi i baffi. In questo caso l apparenza non ingannava.

Stopped here tonight after our long drive. Yea just tastes like any other choppy. Got a cheese burger and chips. Loved the burger and the chips were cooked to perfection. They were a tiny bit slow on it but the staff did tremendous on getting our food out to us on time. Would recommend for a bite to eat!

Así fue y yo me dieron sucio parece y todo! Primero de todo el olor del lugar era como una alcantarilla llena de peces muertos y el lugar estaba sucio. Pedimos una pizza (sin pelo) y quince minutos más tarde estaba hecho. Fue sólo £3,60, pero eso es además el punto. Estaba comiendo la pizza y descubrí en mi último trozo que había un gran pelo largo. Tierra pura! Así que volví, pedí un reembolso y ella estaba siendo tan desagradable y grosero y llegaron a mí con la peor actitud jamás tratando de decirme que me ayuden cuando no! Mi pelo no es en color y no tan largas. Además, dijo que ella no aceptaba una pizza con un pelo así ¿por qué? Y nos dijeron que la pizza no es fresco y se hizo mi alguien así que ella ni siquiera aceptar la culpa! Una experiencia absolutamente asqueroso. De vergüenza. Odio el lugar de todos modos, las patatas fritas son crudos y la salsa es aguada. Se usan con el aceite viejo que no ha sido cambiado y las hamburguesas hasta un año para prepararnos porque de equipos antiguos! El queso de moho y una botella de vitazade es el precio de una casa. No volveré! Tan anticuada y descuidado.

Unreal experience, lovely the 2 times we had been to it. Great Scampi also :) I'm not a massive fan of chips but they do the best style & taste for a traditional hit on a chip shop. Top tip: Wait for a good day and sit at the beachfront

I have never been served such disgusting chips in my life, the tasted as disgusting as they look. It must be old oil or they have refried them

this is a wonderful little chip shop with a comfortable little sit in area beautifully decorated and the service is friendly and efficient. A real old style seafront cafe with all you would want from the like; good coffee too.

By far the best fish and chips I have ever had. Staff are super friendly. Excellent value for money. Will be returning to this little gem.
